Tyler was very professional. He came out, looked at what we wanted done, drew up plans, applied for the proper permits and essentially handled all details. He made sure that his crew worked in a professional manner. All debris from the demolition of the old deck and new deck construction was removed. The area was left clean and usable.. I would hire him again.

Estimation: Tyler responded immediately to my remodel request I put in service magic. He was at our home within two days. I had spoken with other contractors before him and they had all told me what they cannot do vs. what they can do in our kitchen. Everyone had given us very high quotes so I was very scared of adding features to our remodel. So we started off with very basic update request with Tyler. It took him very long to get me the estimate, about 10 days. I was almost about to go with another contractor who had given me reasonable price. But then Tyler got back to me with his quotes and they were awesome. The price was very affordable. Quality of Materials: In the initial estimate, Tyler had estimate for cabinets from Ikea. I wan't very pleased with that and asked him for an upgrade. He took me to a supplier in Sodo- Pius. I had liked cabinets at Gand S more than Pius. So Tyler was open to working with Gand S instead of Pius. That was great news from me. So we upgraded the materials. He gave us very high quality sink, faucet and garbage disposal systems which were included in the original price. Demolition: Juan and Pedro demolished out kitchen in 3 hours. It tool them a couple of days to patch the ripped off soffits. There was no damage done in the kitchen during the demo. Time management: I think the time management could have been better with our project. There were a couple of days that were wasted. Juan went to take care of some other business leaving work at our home. I was not very happy with that. They had initially given us an estimate of 2 weeks but had also mentioned that they may be bale to finish the project in 7 days. That didn't happen. But the project was wrapped up in 2 weeks. It works best if you do a little bit of project management with them. If you can prioritize the work and tell them what should be finished at the end of the day, that works best. I did that quite a few times. Workmanship: Juan and Pedro did great job in putting together our kitchen. They were always very thoughtful of our opinions and our happiness. They redid a couple of things only because they wanted to make me happy. They also built us some custom shelves and that was awesome. Installation of Appliances: They installed all our appliances and they did that very well. Communication: Tyler was very good at communicating. He was very responsive and returned calls back. It was easy to communicate with Juan. Pedro didn't know English very well and I didn't communicate too much with them. Tyler had a very calm attitude and it was really great. At some times when I freaked out on a couple of issue, he was so calm and convinced me that everything will be taken care of. and he did take care of everything. That makes him a great contractor. Functional Kitchen:Before signing the contract, I had made it clear to Tyler that I cooked a lot and I would need a functional kitchen all through the remodel. He kept his word and made sure we had appliances hooked up all the time. He also installed a temporray sink so that we could clean our dishes. Clean up: Juan and Pedro cleaned up everyday at the end of the day. That made our lives better.I was very pleased at the outcome of the remodel. Our kitchen looks so beautiful now. Thanks to Tyler, Juan and Pedro for their hard work. We will hire them again for our bathroom remodels. Thanks Borup construction, you've made the dream of my dream kitchen on a budget come true. Fantastic, the project finished ahead of schedule. There was significant grout damage and he was able to repair and seal. I hadn't been able to seal the grout even after two attempts and it looks great, he also matched the colors properly which was great because my homebuilder didn't document the correct grout color in one of the rooms.

I wasn't pleased with their work. When they left the door wouldn't latch and if you pushed on the door it would just open. I called them back and they came and put some paper under the hinges to push the doors closer together. It worked, but I wasn't pleased because I bought a custom door and they didn't install it properly. I think I overpaid for the installation. I would never use them again.

I was really nervous about ensuring I could get my home back to new in time to put it up for sale. Tyler reassured me and was able to work around my schedule. Tyler's drywaller did an excellent job patching all of the holes and getting the texture to match the walls. At any angle, and in any light, all of the patches look flawless and you cannot tell we had any work done. The painter was also fantastic, he was clean, precise, and quick. They knew we had a deadline to get everything complete before the stagers came and they finished everything on time - going the extra mile on the weekend. The team was professional and did a great job. Tyler was in touch regularly to update me on progress knowing how tight we were on time. He even hung a light fixture for me to finalize the work, which was super nice. I'm recommending him to my friends and neighbors. Thanks, Tyler!

Both projects went quickly and were completed to our satisfaction.

I had water damage to my hardwood floors and the water had leaked through to the basement ceiling. I had to have my entire top floor (1000 sq ft) sanded, refinished and stained. Tyler Borup gave me a competitive bid and was able to schedule my work within 1 month of my call. Tyler (the president of Borup Construction) contracted out the floor repair and I was thrilled with his choice. The floor guy came and met with me the night before he began work and answered my questions/gave me a schedule for the week. He was able to show me 4 different sample colors and I picked one that I LOVED. There was minimal dust due to the dustless sander they used and he covered my kitchen so no dust got in my cabinets. The floors and base shoe look fantastic and we are thrilled! Tyler checked in with me every other day to make sure everything was on track and to my satisfaction. Tyler had my ceiling fixed/painted right after the floors were complete, this took about 3 days, and again, he was in touch to let me know what was going on. The ceiling looks perfect, you can't even tell where the paint matching is. Tyler also did a couple of other things we needed done (install a new toilet and new water heater). I never felt like my project was too small. Contractors can either make things more or less stressful. I had to move out of my house for a week (I am pregnant and did not want to smell floor fumes) and move out all of the furniture on my top floor - that was stressful enough! Tyler made everything else seamless and easy!
