Terrible customer service. The work performed was subpar and the tech continually tried to upsale me with a service I didn't need.

I debated, based on others whether or not I had to have my furnace checked this year or not since I had it checked last year when I bought the house. Thankfully I decided to go ahead. I've had quite a few people I've called or requested other services from and they either never call back, do not show up when they say they would or have tried to charge me way more than they should. I was losing confidence of service people around here to say the least. Kevin came out and unfortunately (or fortunately) found a severe kink in the pipe that ran to the heat pump under the house. How anyone who installed it or checked it before didn't discover this before is beyond me. He was kind enough to verify his suspicion during the first visit and was in my opinion (who remember was very skeptical at this point of service people) very honest, kind and upfront with me. Not to mention extremely fair in his estimate of the cost. I would highly recommend this company as well as Kevin. They are lucky to have someone like him working for them.

They came out on a Friday were done that day did a great job. The system has worked great sense being installed I have not gotten my first heating bill so do not know if the costs will be as described. I will add more later when I have an idea of the costs.

Their customer service was excellent as well as their information. I made a decision to go with a product they did not sell so I did not use their services further but would recommend them to others.

Gave us two estimates and good advice that saved us a lot of money. Very polite installers, answered my every question. Tidy in their clean-up and it works great.

The first hot day of the season and our AC goes out. I called about 11am (house was already 82 degrees) and they said they would try to get out later that evening. I can imagine that they were busy as I think most AC units like to go out during really hot weather. They called at 7:30 to see if 9 pm was too late to come out. I said it was alright. Brad came out and fixed my AC unit at 9:30 at night (House was at 85 degrees). I can imagine it was a long day for him. I'm not sure there are a lot of contractors out there that would do a repair in the dark or that late. I'm thankful they did because we were all able to sleep better now that the house is cooled to 73 degrees.

In order to replace the valve the coolant needed to be drained and replaced at a tune of $90 a pound for a 7 pound system = $630 plus labor. I asked the question why can't you use the same coolant that is removed the response was and quot;so we don't put contaminated coolant back into the unitand quot;. The unit wasn't low on coolant and no one else has serviced the unit since it was installed the only way cooalant can get contaminated is if its mixed with another type. If they would use a container that is designated for the coolant (R134) when they took it out they would be able to put it back in without a issue. This is just one more way to get more money from customers. After speaking with the owner (Lincoln) about the bill it was reduces to the cost of the coolant and parts there was no charge for the labor.

Norm was on time to give an estimate. When asked about a different brand he searched out info on that for us, too. Brad came to do the work and was comfortable to be around, worked hard, and completed the job leaving it clean.

The experience was great overall! They were really nice people to work with. I was very pleased.

Everything went well. The technician was very thorough and made sure everything was in working order before he left. He also left the area clean and was very courteous.

I was impressed with how fast Norm was able to show up after my "distress" call. He quickly found a large leak in my system and gave me the bad news. My coil a $1600 part according to him was leaking. Norm called the supplier in tumwater and read him the #'s off my machine. Norm hung up and told me I had a 5yr warranty and I was 2 yrs past it. He could "repair" the leak for $450 with no gurantee of its success over any length of time. My unit was so out of date and inneficient that I should get a new one which he would be happy to install for $3200. I thanked him and he left. I called 3 other companies to get 2nd/3rd and 4th opinions. The highest replacement bid I got was $2500 which included a new coil for my air handler also because the r22 refigerant is not compatible with the new 410a refrigerant(according to all 3 of the other contractors). One of the contractors called tumwater for me and told me the good news..my unit WAS under warranty I had a 10yr not 5yr. Called norm back and asked what was going on witht the warranty issue and his bid being $700 higher than everybody else for less work. He told me the guy in tumwater made a mistake and then lowered his bid $500 saying the other guys are just starving for buisness. All 3 other contractors were also slammed with buisness and came over after 5pm to take a quick look and give me an estimate. I called norms boss the owner of americool. He told me he would talk to norm and get back to me. He never called me back. Norm sent me an e-mail telling me he was not a liar nor a crook and I need to pay the $91 bill I got in the mail. He did do a leak test to see where the leak was. Norm with americool is a liar and tried to rip me off over $700. His boss is doing nothing.
