great, tub looks like new

Mike was very informative and spent a good while explaining the process on the phone giving me all of the information I would need. He came to glaze the tub when we were out of town - It looked brand new when we returned home and he and left the bathroom clean. Several months later a couple chips developed and he stopped by to repair them without charge which was really nice. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I live in dowtown Portland in the old Roosevelt Hotel, which has been converted to condos. We have the original bathtub (circa 1914) and it was in horrible shape. It had been re-glazed at least once but it was done poorly and the tub was almost impossible to clean due to its age and the old glaze retaining stains. I found the Premier Glaze ad in the Angie's List magazine. When I called, the owner Mike Tjensvold answered. He told me what his company's service could provide and we came to an agreed upon date for service. Mike was on time, on the dot. He explained the process, how long it would take, and he answered all of my questions. I expected the process to take most of the day but he was done in about 4 hours. Mike was careful to drape the floors from the front door into the bathroom and seal off fixtures. He kept the bathroom door closed to minimize noise and odors of the refinishing chemicals and the glaze. When he was done, Mike cleaned up the area, removed all the tools and drapes, then explained how to care for the new finish. The only thing Mike left behind was a beautiful new finish on our tub and a couple of very satisfied customers. We did have to let the tub cure over night and it gave off the odor of latex paint, but the odor dissipated within a day. The bathroom was back in service within 36 hours. We would highly recommend Premier Glaze to anyone needing this service.

Mike did a great job. We are remodeling a small bathroom and while the tub and tile were in great condition the old 1986 gold color did not work any more. He worked with our schedule when we had to put him off a couple of weeks to get some other work finished. The bathroom was tented off and the tub and tile look great now in a classic white. H gave us both the Angie's list and senior discounts so the price was much better than the other place we contacted.

When I called they said that they don't replace bath tubs but they do refinish them. I asked him when he could come out and he said that he normally does not come out to do an estimate, they just come out and do the work. I let him know I wanted to see what it would look like before he does the work. He then said that he might be able to come out on Tuesday but couldn't give me a direct answer.

Mike was very nice, professional, prompt, and flexible. I had to reschedule with only a day's notice and he didn't mind. In fact, he was able to reschedule for just a few days later. Cost was very good and it looks great!

He was very polite, competent, fast, and cleaned up well. He also tented the bathroom so we did not get stuff all over the main floor of the house. There was a small area which did not dry well, so he came over pretty quickly to redo that part after we called him about it.

They show up on time, they do an excellent job if you follow their instructions. It's always best to let the job sit and cure for a few days. We have used them for many years and many times on our rental and personal properties.

Skillful execution of glazing. I made a call to Premier when I found a small bleb in the glazing and they were back out in a heartbeat to remedy. Also, I felt well educated as to the care and maintenance of the glazing. Thoroughly satisfied.

Mark was great to work with. He was very easy to get a hold of. He has a system down and just flat pricing for all of his services, which is great because you know exactly what it will cost. As an Angie's list member he gave me a nice discount offered on his profile. He also gave me a time frame of what to expect, how long it will take, when it would be finished and so on. He did the job in a few hours. He came with a lot of different tools and venting equipment to remove all the fumes and smells. When he was finished he went over the Warranty and care and told me to call him if there were any problems, chips or cracks. I heard him take a couple of other calls for quotes while he was loading up his vehicle and he was very professional and great with communication. Although I hope to never have to refinish the tub again, I would definitely hire him for other jobs like tile or counter tops. One of the best things of the service, was that he encouraged me to use the tub for a while before writing this review to make sure we liked it.

The resurfaced a bath tube and it looks great! They did a great job. Expect to get another 40 years out of that tub.

I noticed that 6 months later, some chips had showed up in the paint on the end opposite the faucet, where I never had a problem. He has a 3 year guarantee, but I've not contacted him about that yet. His price was higher than expected. He taped up a dropcloth up to prevent the spray from getting onto the bathroom objects. When we pulled the tape off, the tape pulled the paint off of the wall in one area, so we will have to repaint that area. He didn't remove all of the plastic and tape that he wrapped the bathroom items with. He was thorough about protecting the items in the bathroom, but left the plastic on the wall.

He was great! When we took the tape off of the faucet it tore some of the glaze off. He came back out and fixed it for free.

I had a yellow bathtub and sink, and rather than replace it, I reglazed it. He taped everything down and sprayed them. They both look lovely! He told me how to take care of the glaze, and I had to let it age a few days.

We had used Premier about 8 years ago and after a bathroom remodel which exposed more unfinsihed edges of the tub we called Premier to refinish it again. Excellent work, efficient, fast, economical.

Provider did a great job & was very responsive. The overall finished product looked great, but is not holding up as well as I would have liked.

Mike was punctual and professional. There was a miscommunication in the color chosen but he fixed it the same day. Service was performed quickly in about 3 hours. He kept a clean and organized working space. Results were excellent.

Very impressed with this service. I was really impressed with Mike's prep work. Everything was really well covered, making clean up super easy. The tub looks great and it gives our bathroom a fresh new look.

The owner of the company did the work himself. He was flexible on his timing, punctual and did a very professional job. We had a small concern with a tiny strip of the surface which he came out to repair very promptly. The bath looks great. It would have taken us a lot of trouble and time to get our old bath out and a new one installed. I had not considered re-finishing before but see that this is a great alternative to buying new in certain circumstances.

Mike called me back with a bid within hours of leaving a message. He was able to schedule the job about a week later. He was meticulous about taping off and protecting surrounding areas. He discussed best color choice to go with the rest of my bathroom fixtures. He completed the job and was completely cleaned up in about 4 hours. He performed meticulous clean up. He went over drying time and how to take care of the new finish. Mike was very professional and I would definitely recommend him.

Provider requested to come early, as his first customer was not ready. Provider explained his process, then masked necessary areas and provided ventilation. We left the house for a while to avoid the noise and fumes. Provider gave follow-up instructions and left things neat. Provider was very courteous and pleasant. We removed masking products after two days per his suggestion. Tub looks great!

They were nice. My parent's tub had already been reglazed before and his product will not work when it has been done before. He seemed nice, friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. He explained his process and what it is. I also had contacted him by email. He was very responsive. He was very professional.

Mike did a great job refinishing our old cast iron bathtub (1926 house). Work quality was very good, as was his responsiveness. We knew what to expect prior to his visit to perform the work, so we were not inconvenienced. The tub was the final step of a complete bathroom remodel. I would highly recommend him.

We consulted with Mike on resurfacing a shower, a shower bath and a jacuzzi. He was very complete and detailed in his estimate with full explanations of the pros and cons of the work. He arrived punctually on the day agreed upon and worked really diligently without stopping until everything was done. He took ample time to prep the surfaces and to hang plastic around the areas to prevent any possible spatter. He also brought in very powerful exhaust fans to remove the fumes (although the fumes continue, as we expected for several days). He provided walkway covers for his trips back and forth to his truck. In short, Mike was very trustworthy and totally professional. I definitely would recommend his work (a 10 year guarantee as opposed to the 5 year offered by Miracle Method)! Be aware that the fumes will last a few days!

I was satisfied with the price and conference discount offered by Premier for a tub refinish. I spoke with several of his references who were happy with his work. I was pleased also that Mike agreed to include finishing the outdated tile and grout for an extra amount. I chose his company partially because of the ten year warranty, where most other companies only offered five years. Mike was polite in his dealings, punctual, laid down tarps to cover his whole route from the door to the bath, and vented his work through a window. Though I wish I had known in advance that he did not accept credit cards, we worked the money part out. Despite the extra care we now had to use with our tub, the finish began peeling at several spots. We did not notify Mike within two weeks of the start of the problems, which technically voids the warranty. However, Mike came out and redid the job at no extra fee. He stated that with hundreds of jobs completed, this is only the second tub to have a problem. I gave Premier a B in quality because of the failure, but I give Mike an A+ in fixing it.
