I called several companies to come out and give me a quote for water Heaters, including Kings, and Brenan. Washington ended up giving me one of the fairest quotes. They were also punctual and were able to come out quickly to look at the job. I liked dealing with Steve who came to give us the quote. At the end we ended up going with a different company because WWH Did not provide the item I was looking for. I wanted a specific water heater and another company was more familiar with it. Mind you this is not a regular residential water heater. Its commercial grade. had I gone with the Navean system which would have been just as good, I would have Gone with Washington Water heaters. Steve was super responsive to emails and easy to talk to. Would recommend.

They showed up on time. A contractor working in the basement moved the hot water heater a foot from the wall. Not understanding how a double wall vent system works on not water heaters, they only extended the outer sleeve, not the inner sleeve. The hot water heater no longer worked and smelled really "gassy". WWH came in and moved it back to where it was, reconnected the vent, relit the pilot and were done.

When our old tank went out on a Friday, Washington Water Heater came out on a Saturday to look at it and informed us that the type of heater we had would need to be special ordered and we might be out of water for a few weeks. So the Navien tankless water heater was presented as good, if costly, solution for replacing a leaking power vent water heater. We gave them the go ahead and a deposit and they installed it the following Monday. The tankless water heater initially gave us problems but once the owner, Steve, found out we were unhappy with the new heater he came out personally on a Saturday morning to adjust the settings and improve the performance.

Steve, the owner of Washington Water Heaters, installed the water heater for me about a year ago. I have not took an attempt to write him a review, and I really felt guilty about it. I called four people and chose Steve because he was so honest, professional. His price was right in the middle, but the quality was very exceptional. When I asked Steve for his opinion if I should pay ~$250 more for the more expensive model, Steve told me I should save that money to take my wife and kids to a great dinner instead. He also discounted me $75 from the quote (which I agreed) after finding out that I found him from Angies' List. He didn't have to do that, but did. He was on time, and very professional. His work quality was exceptional. I couldn't be happier. Thanks Steve.

We were distressed to find out that our existing tank less water heater (in a house we just purchased) would be too costly to fix. We got a total of four bids to replace it. This bid was thousands less than two competitors who both quoted us at over $5k. While we did get one other bid in the same range as this company, it was the professional, knowledgeable, no nonsense approach that sold us on this company. One of the owners- Tom- came out to give us the bid. He took only a few minutes to look at our current tank less set up, know what product and installation he would recommend and explain his recommendation to me in a clear, non-condescending manner. As a woman, I often feel that male contractors speak down to during the bidding/work process, but this was not the case with Tom at all. Several other companies spent a LONG time looking at the situation (previous tank less had been installed on an interior wall without stainless steel venting) and even in the end seemed unsure about the exact plan for installation. Tom suggested right away that we use the Navian condensing tank less water heater- which is not only more efficient- but uses plastic venting that would be easier and cheaper to install in our situation. The installation couldn?t have gone better either. The technician who came out (I?m sorry I don?t remember your name at the moment) was very professional, knowledgeable, and completed the job quickly . The initial bid did not include dry wall repair- and it was expected that several holes would have to be made in the ceiling to run the vent pipe- but the technician was able to install the venting without cutting into the drywall! Saving us the mess and expense of repair. We are very happy with our new water heater- which seems to be keeping up with our 3 bathroom house sufficiently. Hopefully, I won?t need another water heather for many, many years- but when I do, I know who I will call.

First of all Steve was able to come out and provide an estimate very quickly. There were a number of factors that made this job more complicated than average and he was able to go over all of them and talk about how they would be accounted for. He also answered several additional questions that I sent by email. When the time came to schedule they were able to get me booked for later the same week. Len came and did the install and did a fantastic job. In addition to taking care of all the venting, drainage and gas work, he also noticed that I had a crossover somewhere in my water system. He correctly guessed that it was in one of my shower valve cartridges and I was able to get 2 new cartridges from the hardware store. He installed one and then I installed the other. The new water heater is great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Washington Water Heaters to anyone!

I cannot be more happy with my experience. These guys did a great job. Called then in a Tuesday and they were out Wednesday morning for the install. The install took a total of 2 hours and went great. I had a Snohomish County Inspector out to verify the install for the permit and he stated he was impressed with the fact they used copper and not pvc and that the job looked great. Money well spent for me. I contacted numerous vendors whose prices with tax were exceeding $2000. I learned of Washington Water Heater when I was at Lowes and told that they did all the hot water tank contract work for them. Thats when I decided to reach out to them directly. Plus, the reviews on Angie's List were solid. I now have them coming back to service my AC and Furnace as well.

Washington Water Heaters was one of the few companies I could get a hold of first thing on a Monday morning (after a Sunday water heater failure that I could work around). They were very responsive and helpful; they didn't immediately refuse service and require a replacement like several others (*cough* Fast Water Heater *cough*). I wasn't willing to spend $1k+ on a new water heater when mine wasn't leaking or rusting, it was just a busted pilot! They were able to schedule me for same day service, which was awesome! Aaron was out for my service call about 5 hours after I called them, I was impressed. He inspected my water heater and proceeded with the expected repair (replacing the pilot / thermocouple / igniter assembly) after giving me an on-the-spot estimate. The work went smoothly in just under the time quoted (~25 minutes when he said 30 mins). I was quite pleased with the work as well as Aaron's attitude; he was very nice to work with. My only gripe is the cost of the repair: * $129 for a service call (fairly standard, it seems) * $159 for the part and labor (maybe $100 part if I purchased it) I knew I was paying for skilled labor and I'm still much happier with their repair price compared to a replacement. All-in-all, it was quality work done very quickly. I would choose them again if I had another issue requiring repair.

Pros: Scheduling Washington Water Heaters was quick and easy. Their scheduler answered the phone and was able to tell me exactly when a plumber could come to my home to do the work. They were able to come out in two days. Many places I called didn't answer their phones & I had to wait for calls back, so this was reassuring. The plumber connected the water heater correctly; the plumbing and electrical work was well done. Cons: He did not level the water heater, and he did not extend the condensate drainpipe all the way to the floor drain, so the condensate leaves a puddle on the concrete right next to the floor drain. He did not clean-up the floor after removing the old water heater. I cleaned this area before Washington Water Heaters, came, but unsurprisingly, I was not able to remove all the dust and dirt. Lastly, he had my husband run to McLendon's to pick up the correct wiring for the electrical connection. Really? For $846 I expect excellent work, not adequate work. I suppose I could have called them back to correct these things, but once a contractor disappoints me, I am really not interested in having them back. I would not hire them again.

Our 12 year old water heater went out on a Friday night. On Saturday morning, we found this vendor on Angie's List, and after a little comparison shopping we were able to hire this vendor to do the work and he was able to get to our house on Saturday afternoon. We also received a 5% senior discount so our net pre-tax price was $993.05. Steve did a wonderful job, clean, neat, and fast. It was an excellent price for an excellent service. We would use again!

Started the day with a cold shower. I called around to a few companies. I liked all of the details WWH provided over the phone, they had a competitive price, and were highly rated on Angie's so I went ahead and scheduled an install. I called late in the day so they were scheduling me for the following day. When I told them that would be great since I had family in town they put me on hold and then came back on the line and said one of the guys was not too far from my house and would swing by that day. Fabulous! The install went great. I let SteveP know that I had cats/dogs in the house and to please watch in/out with the doors since one was a new rescue. He said hello to the four legged kiddos and kept track of all the doors while I was busy working outside. Fast forward several months later and I walked into the laundry room late one night and the room was full of steam. I called them the following day and explained what had happened so they scheduled an appointment to come out. I was surprised when it was Steve that stopped by. It was great to have the same technician. I think all of the single ladies appreciate this so you don't have yet another stranger in your house. Long story short, the thermostat was on the fritz. The part was ordered, shipped, and Steve was out the next day to replace the gas control. Yet again super sweet with my crazy four legged crew. Overall, great experience from the folks who answer the phones and do the scheduling down to the install/fix process. I highly recommend them to my friends/family and if I ever need another water heater they would be the first people I would call. Now if they would just take on other home repair services they would be my one stop shop.

STAY AWAY!!! They are a installer for Sears. They play the game of blaming Sears for incorrectly filling an order at time of purchase. Then they call you to schedule the install and immediately start telling you what Sears did wrong and what you need to additionally purchase before they will come out and install the tank you already paid for. The end result is they hold your $1000 water heater hostage until you agree to buy the extra crap they should have told you about when you were ordering the tank in the first place. Its a game that they play very well because they know you already paid for the tank. The woman that called me yelled into the phone "Well do you want us to come out or not?!?!" when I questioned why they do business like that. If I had not had a river streaming out of my garage and a house full of family from out of town I would have cancelled the order. To add insult I purchased the tank before 11am and they did not show up until after 5:30 PM. STAY AWAY!!!

Response from Washington Water Heaters
This is a common theme with Sears customers who order tanks through the toll free Sears hotline, or do their purchase through the Sears website. The call center is located in another state, and it would be impossible for their employees to know all the codes and requirements for every state in the USA. Additionally, there are certain parts required on every water heater installation, like the flexible water connectors used to connect the water heater to your home’s plumbing. Sears oftentimes forgets to sell the flex connectors at the time of the initial sale, which is something we have been working on with them to remedy. The bottom line is that Sears relies on us to inform the customer of local requirements once we receive the order, and we CANNOT proceed with the installation unless we can do it 100% to the current code standard. We prefer to inform the customer of the additional items at the time of the initial phone contact so we can minimize surprises at the time of the install. Doing it this way allows a customer the option of cancelling the job before any money or time is spent. (if a customer chooses to cancel the job, 100% of their money is refunded by Sears). As for holding their tank "hostage", this couldn't be further from the truth. We typically pick the water heater up at Sears on our way to the job site. As for being late to your home, we have an agreement with Sears to do same day installs for jobs that we receive and confirm with the customer by noon. That means if you buy the tank at 11:55am, it is possible that that job will not be done the same day, since it takes time to process the order and make contact with the customer to schedule. There is no time guarantee for same day installations. Our technicians work until they are done with their jobs, and it is not uncommon to start jobs as late as 8pm in the busy season. Description of Work: Our tankless water heater stopped working. WA Energy Services that we purchased it from were unable to fix it and told us to contact a water heater company. We were without hot water for two days at this point and they had turned our recirculation pump off which caused it to burn out. When I called Washington Water Heaters, they responded immediately and had it fixed that day. The guy they sent out went to get a new pump and replaced the burned out one the same day.

We recently bought a condo, and the inspector told us that the water heater was showing its age (it was about 10 years old). Also, it didn't have a drip pan or earthquake straps, which is worrying. So I hired Washington Water Heaters to get a new one. I picked them based on their Angie's List reviews, and because they were offering a free earthquake strap (parts & labor) for anyone who found them on Angie's List. When I called them, I was shocked to find out that they would be able to come the next day! I figured that I'd have to wait a week or two. They told me that they'd be installing a standard Rheem heater (our condo isn't suitable for either a hybrid heat-pump tank or a tankless system), and they gave me a price quote for the unit and installation. I've heard that Rheem is a great brand, and the price was very reasonable, so I scheduled a time. The installer showed up on time the next day. Almost immediately, he encountered a small roadblock; the shut-off valve for the supply line was stuck! Luckily, he was prepared for this, and had no problem replacing it with a new one. The rest of the installation went smoothly. He also recommended an expansion tank, which he had already brought with him. The price ended up being a bit more than was quoted, because of the shut-off valve work and the expansion tank, but it was still very reasonable. We were very impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. The price was right, and the new water heater is working perfectly. And we feel much better knowing that our home isn't going to be flooded if an earthquake hits. When this water heater bites the dust, I'll definitely be calling Washington Water Heaters again!

My hot water tank developed a leak and had a contractor from another company (the one who did the install) come out to do an estimate. I was unsatisfied with his assessment of the work to be done so I called WWH. The difference between those other guys and Washington Water Heaters is like night and day. WWH folks were professional, punctual, and honest in their assessment and estimate of the work to be done. The first thing that Len from WWH noticed was that the exhaust piping was not to safety code. The exhaust piping should be to water tank's manufacturer's specifications, in this case either metal or solid core PVC. The type of piping used in the build of the home was foam core PVC, even though the tank manufacturer specifically said that that piping was not to be used. Len then showed me obvious deformation and degradation of the pipe, likely due to moisture being collected in the pipe, causing a Venturi effect which would deform it further. The entire exhaust piping had to be replaced. WWH even showed me where in the uniform plumbing codes and in the installation manual in the hot water tank where the violation occurred. Since I live in a townhome community, it is likely that many more units are not to code, but that's another story. They also provided an estimate that was pretty much on the money. After a few days of research, they found a good hot water heater that is very highly efficient (97%) and can be used for my heating system too as I have a hydronic baseboard system. Within a week the hot water tank was ready, and it took about the whole day for them to replace the exhaust system, replumb the boiler room, and ensure everything was installed correctly. After a day we noticed a leak in the new installation and Len came out next day and fixed it for us free of charge. After a few days I noticed that running in "normal mode" the flue temperature sensors on the unit trip out and shut down the unit for 15 minutes. In "eco-mode" it works fine. Len confirmed with the manufacturer that the programming is set for a water temperature less than what I use. They reprogrammed another unit and will have it installed soon, again free of charge. The price was steep but the other guys gave a quote that "had the ability only to go up." I went with the more experienced and honest WWH. Thank you!

Our old water heater was not working well and needed to be replaced. We called Washington Water Heaters for quotation and was impressed by Jacky who answered the call. She was nice and easy to work with so we decided to ask them to replace our old water heater. Steve came to our house in a timely manner and replaced our old water heater in our garage. He was courteous and answer my questions. The process was stressless and job was done as expected. After the job was completed, Washington Water Heaters was supposed to apply the permit so I can call the city for inspection to sign off the work. I had waited for almost three weeks with a few calls to follow up. It turned out the permit was issued on Aug 1 which was a few days after the installation on July 26 but somehow it had been misplaced. At the end, Jacky was able to find the permit for me and apologized about the delay. Even this is a small error on their part, I am still satisfied on the the job in general. Thank You.

Tom and Len of Washington Water Heaters are great! They installed my tankless back in 2006 and worked flawless since. Recently the Rinnai stared to shut down giving a error code 14. Given the fact I cant do without hot water, why not call the folks that installed the system. The folks showed up the next day and got my unit fixed. Turns out it needed some overdue maintenance. My stress level went down, glad I didn't have to replace the unit. Overall, I cant tell you how much I appreciate these folk.
