The repair man was quite nice and professional. He quickly repaired the first leak in one of the showers. When he got to the second leak, he realized he needed a part that he didn't have and said he would come back the next day without again charging the initial fee of $90 for the first quarter hour. He then worked on the link in the bathroom sink and again realized he needed a part. So he came back the next day with the parts and completed the work. I was surprised at the bill for nearly $400 since my perception was that the repairman could have easily completed all the work in an hour had he had the parts--and he told me that he would not bill extra for returning the next day because of his company's policy of "continuation." However, he charged me for an hour and a half labor. I got the impression he somehow wanted to recapture some of the travel time required for coming back a second day. He also charged me quit a lot for several parts, including $20 for "O Rings." These are available at home-improvement stores for $3 or $4. He also purchased and installed a second faucet stem in the faucet in the sink that was still working fine, explaining that it was company policy to update both faucets since the one that was working might soon break down as the first faucet had. I didn't mind the thinking and would have followed his advice to purchase and install the second faucet stem if I'd been asked, but I wasn't asked. So it was a surprise to see a charge for $20 for that part. At any rate, I contacted the owner of The Plumbing Joint, Randy Palmer, and told him I thought I'd been overcharged for both labor and parts. He was nice about my concern and decreased my bill to $320. It still seems like a lot to me, but I know plumbers are expensive.

We noticed the leak coming throught he downstairs ceiling and The Plumbing Joint sent Mike out the same day. He found out it was the Grohe shower valve in the upstairs bathroom and the parts had been discontinued. However, he was able to locate the parts and special order them. He repaierd the shower valve and made some other minor repairs to the other tub/shower and bathroom. Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly and efficient! We have used The Plumbing Joint on other occassions and have always been very satisfied.

Though I found Carol to be professional, I was extremely disappointed that I was told there would be a $90.00 charge to come out for an estimate. When I returned home to check this contractors inofrmation on Angie's List, it stated YES under the title of free estimates. I called Carol back about this, she stated that free estimates are only given on major jobs. I feel that this should have been stated on the information page. And I further feel that I completely wasted my time reviewing their testimonies, and considering them to do work for me.

Called the plumber and he came first thing the next morning. Supply line to tank was leaking. Replaced both supply line and installed new ballcock. Everything went smoothly and as planned. Am happy with the service.

We got a lot of bids for this big job and we're so happy we went with The Plumbing Joint. We'd been suffering from low water pressure, rust coming out of our pipes, and a long wait for hot water to our faucets - getting increasingly worse as the years went by. Finally a leak in our upstairs bath drain caused us to open up the walls and decide to take the plunge and make a huge investment in new plumbing. The Plumbing Joint won our confidence at their bid. Everyone from the company was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. They made a plan to do as little damage as possible to the drywall getting at our pipes in order to save us money in drywall repairs afterwards. The entire job took about 3 days. They showed up on time, cleaned up every night before they left and always made sure we had a shower and faucet before they left for the day. The Plumbing Joint is a quality company and they do great work at a fair price. We will definitely use them again and would recommend them to any one.

New washer and dryer delivered. Delivery man would not install washer because of drain issues. Called The Plumbing Joint about 1:pm and scheduled a visit for later the same day. Mike was right on time, quickly assessed the situation and fixed the problem. He was pleasant, polite, and helpful.

He was punctual, professional, careful in his work in terms of cleaning up after wards and generally a first rate plumber. I will definitely call this company again if and when I need assistance.

Plumber Buddy Miller plowed right in and didn't waste a minute from one task to the next, and nothing took too long. I was surprised at how quickly things got done in 2-1/2 hours. He was very professional and explained the problems and what he was going to do to fix them. He was upfront, clear and concise. There have been no problems with any of the repairs. He explained how the new outside faucet would work to prevent freezing. The only issue I can mention is that he took the old faucets without asking and also the box and information that the new faucets came in. The cost was well worth it, especially when the work is done professionally, quickly and without problems.

Lewis was great at explaining the cause of the leak - a nail was driven through it the builder, the potential solutions, and the time/cost involved to repair. He showed up within an hour of the call, was respectful, professional and considerate. I rated everything an A, except price. I didn't have time to do a price comparison so I wouldn't know if I got a good deal.

See above- city told us a few months ago that we had an underground leak. The, with cold weather in December-had a pipe burst in the basement. Call the Plumbing joint-they came pronto and fixed the burst. Was so impressed that told them about underground leak. As above leak found. We called them and they came the next day-took two days to finish. Did and increadible job. Didn't even ask for a quote as job needed to be done. Received the bill today -no nonsense. Fair price which I will happily pay. Next plumbing issue you have-don't freak-call the Plumbing Joint-you won't be sorry

In contrast to three prior plumbing nightmares with other plumbing companies, Mike was able to pinpoint the reason for the low water pressure - within ten minutes of arrival at my home. The burst pipe which I thought was burst in 3 places turned out to be burst in 11 places. About ten days later a 12th burst location appeared. The gas-line hookup was done without a hitch. Overall Mike and the gas-line estimator Wayne, were totally professional, knowledgeable, and didn't beat around the bush. They came to the house promptly as scheduled, worked quickly and competently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plumbing Joint, or to use PJ again.

I called first thing in the morning about fixing two leaky toilets. Two guys showed up exactly when they said they would (about 1.5 hours after I called, even though there was no rush). They promptly and efficiently went about fixing the problems, telling me exactly what they were doing and why. I'd already tried and failed to fix the problems, and they were really helpful in telling me where I'd gone wrong so I could do it myself without calling them next time. They suspected from the issues I was having that the water pressure was too high. They measured it and found that it was, and discussed options for lowering it and why that would be a good idea. I also asked them about replacing the kitchen sink. They gave me an estimate, along with a description of their pricing structure, and told me in detail how to take the old one out myself so they could charge me less. They were professional, helpful and efficient. I'll certainly be calling them next time I need a plumber.

Overall - excellent experience. Timely, efficient, personable, highly professional, smart, unobtrusive. neatly dressed, well groomed, Articulate. Great guy and great worker. When you call, ask for Lewis. Best plumber I ever worked with.

Great customer service when first called. Prompt response and immediate availability of plumber. The plumber that performed the service was polite, professional and went about his business to fix the leaks. He communicated what needed to be done, did it, and showed me the results. The only negative (a minor one in the larger scheme of things) were the solder drippings left on the driveway. Other than that, a positive service experience.

What can I say? He was on time and efficiently worked on all of our projects. Will definitely hire him again and have already recommended him to others. I think my husband said he gave us a senior citizen discount. Our main issue was the leaking shut off valve but figured that since we had someone out on site, we would have him do a few other things. Friendly but not overly chatty - I like that. Very pleasant, professional.

We had a MAJOR water pressure issue in the house. Jim quickly pinpointed and fixed the problem. He went on to fix several leaky fixtures including a shower mixer that I thought I'd have to have replaced (he told me replacing it would mean tearing a hole in the wall etc but that he could easily fix the existing one). He got all this done in an hour! Jim was experienced, honest and hardworking. What more could you ask for in a plumber?!? Next time I need a plumber I'll call the Plumbing Joint.

Tom did a great job and had our water back on about 30 minutes after he arrived at our house.

They came out that morning and got things taken care of. The work went well and they were quick to get on the problem and get it fixed. We are happy with the quality of their work and will use them in the future if needed.

Went very well. I feel I got a very good value for my money. These guys will be my plumbing service going forward.

Tony and Wayne were great to work with and they did a great job on short notice.

I had a great experience. Tom is the first repair person I have had in my home that I did not know before hand. I was very happy when he arrived on time and looked like someone I wanted to invite in. He was personable and his confidence in what he was doing was obvious. From the strat to the finish Tom worked quickly, was pleaseant and put me at ease. I will ask for him personally if I need to call the Plumbing Joint again. Over all I would give my whole experience an A, and I'm not an easy grader!!

My toilet had been running for weeks, and I had been putting off doing anything about getting it fixed. My brother and I had tried to fix it and could tell that some of the parts were corroded, so I finally decided I needed to get some help. I decided to work from home on a Friday so I could get this done and I was nervous I wouldn't be able to get someone to come in at late notice. I was surprised when I called that they were able to get someone out right away, as soon as another nearby job was finished. He was prompt and professional, got here easily (no trouble finding the place), and worked quickly and efficiently. Everything that I needed fixed was taken care of (toilet, garbage disposal) and he managed to fit in a few other things in an efficient way (unclogged bathtub drain while the toilet was filling up) so I didn't incur any extra costs from it. They also have a nice feature where if I think of something else I need done in 30 days, they will waive the upfront labor fee. I would definitely use this service again.

My call went out to them at almost midnight, so I was excited when it was picked up right away. There was some uncertainty right away about how long it would take for someone to come, but I got a call back within a few minutes and a promised arrival time of about 1 hour. I was told that I would have to pay the emergency, off hours rates, which I expected. When the plumber arrived, he got straight to work and snaked the line. It was all cleared up in about 30 minutes or so after arrival. I was a little bit surprised at the final bill - they add travel time PLUS onsite time PLUS a minimum dollar amount just for coming. Plus, the original person I spoke with on the phone quoted a lower hourly rate and minimums. I had mentally guessed the bill would be about half what it ultimately came to. Oh well, it was worth getting the problem resolved so quickly. But if it ever happens again, I'll seriously consider waiting until morning.

David was excellent. Great attitude, customer focused. He was knowledgeable of his trade and quick. They were very responsive and had the repair completed within 4 hours of my call.
