Great job, professional, on time, fixed the problem

We called several plumbers who quoted 3-5 days before they could unstop our drain, which was not acceptable. The Plumbing Joint was able to be there the day we called, and they arrived on time and took care of the problem. They explained why we were likely having ongoing problems and offered some options for more permanent solutions in the future. They cleaned up after themselves and were professional at all times.

This whole thing started when we had a gentleman take a look at a large shower enclosure to see if he could recondition the tiles. We didn't want to have to re-tile unless absolutely necessary and were relying on his expertise to guide us. In the ensuing conversation, it was mentioned that the shower control was sticking and we wondered if he also did that type of thing (he didn't). So he gave us an estimate for his part of the work, but said that he wouldn't want to do anything until we talked to a plumber. There was a possibility any plumbing work might result in removal of tiles and we needed to know that before we proceeded. After researching, we selected three plumbers from Angie's list. I called our first choice this morning and had a hard time explaining what it was we needed. I thought we needed a new fixture installed, and the man I was talking to tried to help me decide if we wanted to purchase ourselves (thereby saving time and money), or if we wanted to purchase with the assistance of their personnel. He said they might need to access the plumbing by either removing tiles or thru sheetrock if there was another access point. I got nervous at that thought and said my husband--who originally built the shower--would call him back. After a brief conversation wth my husband, he said it sounded like it was just a repair to the existing fixture. He said they could come by this afternoon between noon and 3 PM. Lo and behold, Tony arrived at 2 PM, briefly assessed the situation, then replaced a part in the existing fixture. He was out of here in just a few minutes. In fact, I think the paperwork took him longer than the job. We were overjoyed at getting this taken care of so quickly and efficiently. The people we dealt with were wonderful!

I give the Plumbing Joint a "B" in price only because plumbers are just expensive, period, no matter who you hire. Perhaps I am a voice crying in the wilderness trying to make a dent in plumbing prices. More to the point: The guys who came out for the service call were kind, courteous, clean, and knowledgeable. The plumber was able to recreate the dripping sound, which he diagnosed as pipe hammering that occurs when the hot water is on. He listened for a while and went to different rooms. He then provided a contact of a company they work with that will conduct a FREE moisture analysis in case I was still worried about the sound. I appreciate that he didn't immediately want to knock down walls. The moisture analysis will allow me to make a decision on that before demo-ing anything to look further. Also, I provided two toilets that I wanted them to install (the house is a recent purchase, and I wanted plumbers to install the toilets in case there was rot or other issues with the toilet plumbing that were beyond my ability to address). While installing the first toilet, he noticed a hairline crack in the tank and said he didn't think it should be installed because it would leak. He then moved to the second toilet and inspected that tank, which also had a small hairline crack. I would not have noticed these cracks and I appreciate their attention to detail. I will definitely use these guys again. Even though plumbing is $$$!

Mike and Ryan were punctual, professional, and courteous. They responded to my disposal backing up (brown silt was bubbling up from the drain). Turns out the baffle tee was full of junk; they cleaned this out and we discussed why it happened and some things I could do in the future to keep it from happening again. Felt they were very fair with their pricing. They will be my "go to" plumbers for any future plumbing needs.

Given that it was a holiday weekend, I expected to either not be able to get it done or pay a fortune. Drew from The Plumbing Joint was able to do what we needed and was both fast and clever in his approach. He could have easily convinced me to do it the hard way and billed more time, but he came up with a practical and effective solution that saved time and money.

Buddy was AMAZING. We were very confident in his knowledge. Also, very pleased with his patience - he answered a lot of questions for us. The estimate we received was very competitive, and we received it quickly. Hard to say "no", but we decided on another company instead. Would definitely recommend them as a resource.

I called them on a Sunday when I found standing water in my downstairs bathroom, it took a while for them to arrive but when they came they were quick in to unclog my drains. The price was steep but the service was good.

The bidding process went very well, with a journeyman plumber-turned estimator visiting our house. Once we accepted the bid, they coordinated the tiling work with another company (which was awesome) and held to their original schedule and price. The demolition process uncovered a few issues (e.g. a few ants) which was unnerving, but the plumbing work was great. The plumber and tile guys worked like tag-team wrestlers and the process moved quickly. We liked the work so much we asked The Plumbing Joint to also do some repairs in our kitchen. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Excellent service! Making the appointments were quick and easy, the company reps were friendly and helpful. Service was impressive - appointments were made within 24 hours of calling. The technician arrived on time and donned cloth booties prior to entering the house - a great habit. Services on both occasions were accomplished quickly since they required minor work. The techs were great to work with and gave us additional maintenance advice. Highly recommend this company.

Plumber arrived to repair a leaking valve into my hot water heater. He replaced the valve within 45 minutes and left a clean workplace.

They were very good. They worked really fast. Once we called they were out right away. They had it fixed in about a half hour to an hour. They had very good service.

Mike was fantastic. I don't know much about plumbing so he put up with me watching his work and all of my questions so I could understand what he was doing. This was on top of an already difficult task as just to start the job he had to cut into the floor boards underneath my tub in order to fit his wrench up there so he could even start to pull out the old plumbing. With the age of my tub, he had to really work at getting the right fit, and in the end did not feel comfortable putting the work under any kind of warranty. However, it's been almost a month and there have been no drain issues, no leaking, and the tub stop works just great. He did a fantastic job and I'm not in the least worried that he couldn't warranty the work. I totally understand why he couldn't do so. I would use Mike and The Plumbing Joint again in a heartbeat (although I'm hoping I don't have to!). I would like to point out that as this was related to the purchase of my house, the seller is the one who paid for it. While Mike showed me the invoice and I know it was $650, I cannot speak to the competitive nature of that price as I didn't have to pay it. However, I really like having a working tub drain so I'm pretty darn happy with the value.

My call was answered by a friendly woman who answered my several questions and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Mike called to give me about 30 minutes notice and was very punctual. He did the work and then patiently and professionally answered additional questions I had about the water heater and fireplace pilot. I was very pleased with Mike's work and will call him back for the work on the water heater.

I did not use this contractor as his bid for the work came in just over $1400.00 for the installation, and test report needed for the water district. I thought this was pretty high, so after having a talk with my father, he suggested I get some bids from Sprinkler and Irrigation contractors verses plumbers. I am sure glad I did as I just had the work completed by and Irrigation company for just over $320.00 including the test report. I guess I would recommend that you really try to find the right type of contractor for the job. I know plumbers are expensive, but this seemed excessive.

I discovered a leak first thing in the morning coming from where the main water supply enters through the foundation of our daylight basement. Finding The Plumbing Joint on Angie's List, I called at 8 AM and a plumber was here at 8:35. Mike worked for nearly 3 hours removing drywall and digging up the pipe on the outside of the house and repairing it by cutting away the old and fabricating the new. The pipingwas all copper and accounted for 1/3 of the cost even though it was just over one foot long. The installation was excellent. Aside from the price which wasn't cheap (I do not know how it compares with other plumbers -- it's always a sticker shock), I am 110% satisfied with the work. Mike was professional and explained everything as he went, including the poor initial workmanship that was clearly the cause. He didn't estimate the job since it was a bit of a discovery process, which made sense. I have another plumbing job which isn't urgent and I plan to use Mike from The Plumbing Joint for that job, too.

Mike called prior to his arrival. He was even 5 minutes early. He cleaned out the drain pipe and ran a snake under the garage floor to the driveway (a good 25 feet) to ensure everything was cleaned out. Mike resolved my major plumbing problem in one hour. I could not be more pleased with Mike's professionalism and knowledge. Second to getting my on-going plumbing problem resolved was the price. It was at least 50 to 75% lower than another estimate.

They responded quickly to my initial call, were right on time and quickly took care of the problems.

We had a bath tub overflow drain that failed and was showering the kitchen below. I called the Plumbing Joint to have have someone come out. Tony, the actual plumber, called back to let us know that he was heading over and would be her within a hour ( it was rush hour). Tony was very professional and was able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly considering how strange the leak actually was.Half of the time that Tony spent at my house was afterhours and should have been billed at the afterhours rate, but Tony billed his entire time at the normal rate.I was very impressed with THE PLUMBING JOINT and woudl deffinatly use them again.

Great experience. I called The Plumbing Joint based on their Angie's list reviews this morning. They estimated over the phone that the job would take 1-1.5 hours and gave me the exact charge per 15 minutes. They were able to send someone right over. Buddy and his apprentice arrived in less than an hour after calling me to confirm. They got the whole job done in about an hour, then cleaned up everything and removed all the old parts and the boxes the new parts had been in. They were very friendly, professional and did a great job. Another plumber with high marks on Angie's list had given me a job price by phone of $360 (by the job, not the hour), so The Plumbing Joint was a bargain as well. The cost above included the 10% discount coupon and taxes. I highly recommend this company.

He came out the same day I called and stayed until the job was done (after 7) without charging me for nonstandard hours. Next time, I'll call sooner if something happens on a weekend because they don't charge overtime for Saturday calls. No need to wait for Monday!

The Plumbing Joint was very good to work with. The plumber was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He worked clean and quick and I have had no issues since. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

They came out promptly, as scheduled. The plumber examined the problem, gave us several options, and recommended a sump pump installation, because the lightweight corrugated drain tile could not be cleaned out. He committed to send us a firm estimate for the sump installation by electronic mail, which arrived later that day. We paid for the service call to diagnose the problem.

Excellent performance from Tony at The Plumbing Joint. Due to corrosion our kitchen sink and disposal drains and traps failed during installation of a new dishwasher. We called The Plumbing Joint the next morning and were given a competitive quote, plus the ability to be on site the same day. We selected them and were given a window of 3-6pm. Tony called exactly at 3pm and said he would be at the house in 45 minutes. He arrived at exactly 3:45. Tony listened to my description, did his own assessment, told me his plan and got to work. An hour later we had a functional, proper drain. He removed not only the failed sections of drain but also took out additional not-to-code portions. His work not only drains better, but we also have more room under our sink. We are very satisfied and will definitely use The Plumbing Joint again if the need arises.

The work was professionally done and went well.
