Description of Work: Our toilets were not flushing and the water was backing up into the bathtubs. Mainline was clogged. Our clean out is in the crawlspace, so the snake machine could not get in there, but Mike installed a pipe from the outside to the cleanout so the snake could run through it. Good idea. He left that set up in there in case we need to do this again in the future.

Description of Work: My experience with them was very good. They did a good job and the price was reasonable.

Description of Work: We had a washer/dryer unit delivered by Home Depot and as they were installing the unit they broke our hot water pipe. We had to shut off the water to the house. They said they would get a plumber out that day to fix it and of-course they did not. They then denied they broke the pipe. So, after waiting all day, I called The Plumbing Joint around 4:30 or so. They came out within the hour, fixed the pipe and finished the install of the washer/dryer unit. They were professional, courteous, on-time and reasonably priced. I would use them again without question.

Description of Work: My toilet was leaking down into my kitchen this weekend, and I had all kinds of horrifying visions of what could happen. Mike and his partner came in and listened to what I said about the problem (not all repairmen trust what a woman says) and they replaced the wax seals and were off in 45 minutes time! Very respectful, friendly and thorough. I will definitely call them again! (Make sure you remember to say that you found them on Angie's List for the printed discount coupon. I forgot to, and they were still worth every penny!)

Description of Work: He came out, assessed the broken pipe for about 15 minutes. Did not take off his shoes or wear booties to protect my carpet. He wanted to open a 19 inch whole from my floor and the ceiling from my downstairs neighbor. He estimated a cost of 600 to 700$. I found this outrages! The second plumber I called did not propose to open my neigbhors ceiling and quoted me 250$. I think the plumber joint is crazy for trying to charge so much and making so much fuzz about the work. He also did not even consider any other ideas. And they charged me for coming out and for 15 minutes $135.00!!!!!I think they saw a single woman and figured they can just try to tell her whatever.

Description of Work: Toilet ring replacement, however, the technician didn't seal the wax ring well and it led to leaking problems in the next 6months. Called and never got a return call. Went with a different plumber.

Description of Work: They gave me an estimate for installing a pedestal sink, and their estimate was about 3 times what I actually paid with another company I used for that project.

Description of Work: Emergency leak from old synthetic material pipe coming from water main within unfinished basement and also connected to ancient galvaniized pipe, replaced with copper pipe. Also, replaced leaking joints in first floor BR sink plumbing. David Perez was pleasant professional and he had a respectful attitude toward myself as a 58 yr old female, of whom he did not know has an advanced degree in architectural design.

Description of Work: Mike fixed our water heater about 3-4 weeks ago. We had not had consistent hot water for about a year because of a faulty water heater. Mike alleviated the problem and fixed in within an hour. We also had two toilets that were leaking that needed parts. Mike kept in touch with us while waiting for the parts to come in. He then came over and fixed them speedily. He tried to keep costs at a minimum and had a great attitude about everything. Thanks again Mike. We will definitely use you again in the future if we have any plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Drain was stuck and no matter what I used or did, nothing worked. I phoned the Plumbing Joint and a plumber was dispatched that very afternoon. After removing all the standing water out of both sides of the sink, he opened a pipe under the sink and there was the blocking culprit. After a quick removal, things were put back together again and everything ran fine. I was thankful for the quick response and knowledge of the plumber and learned where to look myself they next time I do something dumb, like putting corned beef down the food grinder. It didn't grind, it traveled in one nice, long piece and got stuck in a U shaped pipe. Duh!
