We had Mike Morris (plumber) and Brandon Arellano (apprentice) out to replace our tankless water heater and fix our condensation tubes and connect them to the exterior. They did a tremendous job of explaining the work, keeping the work place tidy, and completing the job on time. I am so grateful for a job well done and will definitely call South West again for our future needs

Broker wanted me to get inspection. Was not able to contact the original installer, so my broker recommended Southwest Plumbing. First appointment no show service man got into a job that occupied his whole day. Second appointment missed because service man sick. Finally showed up for third appointment. Congenial and wore mask when he arrived. Said it would be $550 for the inspection. It took fifteen minutes. No parts or anything. Just labor. Easy access. The service person came back upstairs wearing the mask to only cover his mouth, not his nose.

Terrible service. Southwest Plumbing charged 1,178$ to reuse an old drain, and glue several pipes together. The drywall was already open and the job ready for them to complete. In the process they damaged the bathtub with several chips. Avoid this ridiculously overpriced company that can't even be bothered to lay down drop cloths during work. The job took about one hour, the supervisor wanted me to prove that his plumber made the damage in my tub, and asked several other ridiculous questions. If I could rate lower than one start I would have.

I am livid and will never use Southwest again. I received a notice from the city telling me my meter was running and I likely had a leak. I called two other plumbing companies before this one, but southwest could come out. They came out and first told me I must have a leak in my main line and I would have to pay them $1,000 to find it. I gave them a check. The next day, a leak detection specialist came out and very quickly realized (without even taking any equipment out), there was no leak in the main line. He left, and I was handed my check back. Then the Southwest plumbers looked around again and told me a part on my water heater must be causing backflow - causing the meter to run back and forth. They told me it would be $700 to remove the offensive piece. I said ok, and the plumber handed me an electronic signature page. THERE WAS NO CONTRACT ON THIS PAGE - only a place for my signature. He verbally told me I was signing to have the part removed. I signed. He removed the part and left. He was at my house less than a total of two hours over both days. A few days later, the city called me and told me they would be reimbursing me $200 for water bills because THEY in fact had located the leak - it was due to a broken gasket that the city owned and was responsible for. I am mad at both the city and at southwest that I apparently paid $700 for nothing. I called southwest to see if anything could be done. A manager, Ryan, called me back and was immediately angry and defensive. He told me I signed the contract, that the leak DETECTION cost $700 and they removed the part from my water heater "for free." He told me I never should have signed the contract if I didn't agree with it (I was never given a contract! All I was handed was an electronic signature page and was told I was authorizing the work to be done). He told me if I disputed the charges he would put a lien on my house and I would be responsible for attorneys fees, etc etc. So basically these guys will lie to take your money and then defend defend defend and threaten threaten threaten. I can't believe there was no part of that process that Ryan had any issue with, until I BEGGED him to at least talk to his plumbers about how they should present a contract and he agreed to do that. I am left feeling like I was taken for a ride. I will absolutely never hire this company again for anything, and I suggest you steer clear as well.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I was overcharge for the services. They didn't provide the information I specifically requested several times. They broke my toilet and left the open hole in the floor, telling me that i would have to get a new one. They told me that they would be back Monday at 9:00am to get a permit from the city of Federal Way. He never showed up, and when I went to look at where they were in the project, and found that they have covered it all back up with the soil, leaving me to deal with the city, and possibly have to dig it all back up if the city needed to inspect it. They used a camera that cost hundreds of dollars (bill was not itemized) and said that they would be able to provide me with photo and a video from it. They never did. I made several calls to the company but never heard back from anyone. It was like a bait and switch deal. They said one thing and did something entirely different. I am now stuck with going out and buying a toilet and paying someone to install it. Plus, after all that, the downstairs bathtub flooded again, which was why I hired them. I still do not know what they ended up doing, except that I know have a big green disc in my side yard that makes it look like i have a septic tank. Two years prior to this, RotoRouter did the job in 2 hours for $500. SouthWest took over 8 hours and charged over $2000. The RotoRouter guy showed me the film and told me which tree it was by the bits of wood on his driller. Southwest said nothing and explained nothing.

I called at 11 am - and requested an afternoon appointment (after 2 pm). They said they would arrange a plumber to come out in the afternoon on Saturday. I had to call them 3 times over the next 6 hours, and they never got a plumber to come out. They didn't bother to call me (I had to call them) to ask if someone would be coming to fix my kitchen sink, and they said no one would be coming out today - at 6:20 pm. I wasted my whole afternoon waiting for them to come out. I still have a broken kitchen sink with no water. I will never use them again.

Southwest Plumbing had done work earlier on our house to deal with a dishwasher draining problem and to regulate water pressure. However, the fixes were not sufficient. We contacted SW Plumbing to correct these issues since they were both under warranty. They were highly responsive and sent a plumber, Leo, right away. Leo worked nearly the entire day until the problems were resolved. He was highly professional and pleasant and, most important, competent. Everything is fine now and there was no charge. We are very pleased and would certainly use SW Plumbing and Leo again.

Two of the leaks were repaired within 2 hours. I was charged $820 for what I can amount to $20 in parts and $400/hr labor. Not to mention a $248 crawl space fee. I can't understand how this company can justify charging a crawl space fee when it should be easier since the pipes are exposed. My main complaint, however, is that the plumber and his apprentice left without finishing the job. They fixed two leaks, and turned the water back. The plumber (who was in the house right in front of me) called his apprentice (who was in the crawl space) to verify that the pipes weren't leaking. The apprentice said they were not leaking and they finished up and billed me. The plumber didn't even lay eyes on the pipes after he turned the water back on! I went down right after to double check the pipes, only to find one was still dripping. I called up customer service who got the plumber in touch with me. He told me he'd have to charge an additional $500 to come back and fix it and advised me to fix it myself.

Recently my older home experienced serious plumbing issues as tree roots had clogged and broken the clay pipes. South West Plumbing was recommended as they have a variety of equipment to address any job, plus their plumbers are top-notch. Dave & Thorne arrived right on time and took care to protect my floors before getting to work. After assessing the situation Dave explained my options thoroughly and stepped me through what he was going to do. The magnitude of the job was huge, as it required replacing the old broken clay pipes and installing a clean-out as my home did not have one. To reach the damaged pipes they had to remove most of the pavers on my front porch and then dig a 6’ hole. Once the new pipe was installed, Rick from South West Plumbing came to inspect the work and he also ran a camera down the line to insure it was done right. They had Junior from South West Plumbing come to run a Hydro Jet through the pipes, which flushed out any remaining roots and washed everything. After the work was inspected and approved by the City of Kirkland, Dave filled in the hole and carefully put my front porch back together, including expertly relaying all the pavers so the porch looks as good as it did before. This job entailed working outside in cold wet Seattle weather for 3 days. (The first day they worked from 9am until 9pm to insure I had running water again before they left.) I was impressed by their professionalism and expertise plus they provide a life-time guarantee for their work. But I also want to thank them for their kindness, as they understood how upsetting the situation was for me and took care to provide reassurance that the issue would be fixed without any additional damage to my home during the process. One other thing that really impressed me was how proud they are to represent South West Plumbing and how they feel it is a great company to work for. Most everyone will recognize their jingle- South West Plumbing- The 1 To Call! - but it’s true, they are the one to call. ~Debbie

They unclogged the drain. I guess it is usual to pay for two techs when one is all that is needed. I think this is standard since most of the worker bees are not journeymen yet. One stands around a talks while the other works, pay for both. oh well, the drain is unclogged.

I had some o-rings that went out on a couple of toilets. I called them and they gave me a price of $260. My son came home and repaired them for a $7 part. In fact, he showed me how to do it. They charged me $100 to come out and look at them. I'm sure they are very experienced. The man had been here for something in the past. Then they ended up giving me money back, but I would not use them again. They are expensive and it's just ridiculous. Their responsiveness was good.
