The reason for using Sound Garage door was the excellent service they provided 3 years ago with a $99 special garage door tune-up special - all new high quality rollers and comprehensive adjustment/service - one of the best bargains. The service was with a smile, courtesy and full explanation on how to perform a yearly maintenance including leaving me with some lubricant. I am a very hands-on person but also know how dangerous the springs are on a garage door so when mine broke I did not hesitate to call Sound Garage Door Service. James promptly arrived at the arranged time and did a detailed evaluation of the current door condition explaining what he was seeing and what service he recommended for a very heavy, 20 year old garage door. I never blindly believe a service person (too many push services/parts that are not needed) but was perfectly satisfied with the explanations he provided. James was very ethical and professional explaining the full replacement process, weighing the door to properly size the replacement springs (one spring breaks - replace both since they work in tandem) and advising me that some additional bearings might be needed based on the age of the door. He gave me a fair estimate and because these are custom springs it would be a week to get the parts and scheduled the appointment. Again, James was very prompt, starting work immediately and explaining to me the disassembly process explaining to me what and why he was performing certain tasks, showing me the parts he previously suspected would also need attention/replacement. He had everything reassembled in an hour and proceeded to inspect/retightened every component of the garage door, explain to me the construction of the door itself and made the statement it was one of the best constructed garage doors that should last me a long time. The 5 year warranty on parts and labor made me very happy that it was covered for that time period. Great service with a smile, ethical and very competitively priced with no surprise charges and not pushing for additional services - it does not get better then this and will use them if any issues arise on my other garage doors.

Service tech mentioned that when the rollers were changed out to nylon 6 months ago, the tracks joint were not tightened securely and the springs were adjusted to tight to lessen the weight at the bottom. He corrected the issue and advised us that if the door were made to light at the bottom the tension on the spring would have increased to the point where it could jump the track on let down. After readjustment he also explained that the springs usually have a 12,000 cycle life span and to wait until the spring breaks as they have a same day repair service.

very good they handle the doors which are unusual as they are solid mahogany doors.

They did an excellent job. The guy was really fast and really good at what he was doing. It's great. It makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the garage.

The service call was scheduled for today between 10 and Noon. I received a call from the service guy about 9 am asking if he could come at 9:30. Sure! He was there at 9:30, and I showed him what the problem was. He immediately understood the issue, quoted me a $99 cost, and after I signed off on it he went to work. After about 45 minutes he knocked on the door and went over what he had done, which was a re-alignment of the tracks, improving the connection to the garage framing in multiple spots, and he lubricated all hinges and pins. It closes beautifully now with no vibration and little noise. I'm sorry I didn't catch the service guy's name because he was great - very professional and informative. And he gave me the Angies List discount (10%). I will use Sound Door again for future service.

The service was excellent! Even just making the appointment was great. i felt like the owner went out of his way to accommodate my work schedule. I believe the technician's name was Chris. He was so thorough, explained what he was doing, and took care with my property. He dropped a screw and took time to locate it so I would not get a flat tire! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who wants a great product and great service.

I called John this morning and he was great, trying to get me in on a Saturday. He estimated to be at my house by 12:30 but was actually here at 11:30. Not only did our opener stop working, the garage light bulbs had recently burned out so we were in the dark. John was so great! He worked around 2 flash lights, found the root cause and fixed it within the hour. I would definitely recommend John for your garage door needs.

Garage door was not working properly. He fixed everything and it is now operating perfectly.

These guys did a GREAT job! Like so many here, I'm the new owner of a quite old house with a quite old garage door. Sound's representative could have tried to upsell me to a new door or system, but instead he let me know honestly that the door and system were very solid and in great shape, gave it a bit of a tune-up, replaced the very worn and ornery keypad, and taught me how to manually use the door and maintain it. Really outstanding service! When we ARE ready to upgrade to a more beautiful door (it is truly ugly as heck), we'll call these guys up and give them our business, simply for being awesome and not trying to needlessly upsell.

The service was excellent. Jon was one hour early, which was great. He was able to diagnosis the problem with my garage door, which would open, but not close using the remote. He fixed that quickly and I decided it was time to replace my old doors which had been broken and patched together when I bought the house a couple of years ago. He scheduled an appointment for the next Monday to have them installed. The price was very reasonable and they are insulated, so it should help with the energy bill. Looking forward to my new doors.

We hired Jon to replace our existing garage door openers, as they were so loud that they vibrated our house. We were uncertain whether the noise was caused solely by the openers or whether there were issues with the doors and/or rollers. Jon was very patient to talk through all potential issues with us and came prepared to handle any needed repairs. He scheduled us quickly, called prior to showing up (and at the time promised), and completed the work quickly. He made sure not to sell us anything we really didn't need, even though we had asked him to bring extra parts along. Prior to leaving, he told us about rebate offers through LiftMaster and went the extra step of programming the new opener into the homelink system of my car. Bonus! Jon is an honest guy who truly cares about his customers. We highly recommend his services!

Chris from Sound Door was prompt, and showed up actually a bit early. Pricing, expertise, and professionalism was excellent - with Chris explaining the load and expected new spring life. Would use again - good value.

sound door services was great. They originally came out to do a garage door opener repair but when we realized the (very) old opener was beyond repair we opted to have them install a new one. The maintenance fee was applied towards the new opener and we were able to get installation done fairly quickly. They were very professional and did a great job communicating what they had done. My only (minor) complaint was that we were asked to reschedule both our maintenance and installation appt. both times they called to ask if we could reschedule at least a day prior which is better than the day of but still a little annoying.

Went perfectly. The technician went through both doors, wheels, mechanisms and motor. Serviced all items and walked me through each part he did. Went as you'd expected.

The door works like new again. Great service and he called and said he could be there sooner then expected which worked out perfect foe me.

Called Tuesday with the coupon deal to get a door fixed. They were able to come out on Friday. On Friday, tech showed up and quickly resolved the issue, as well as made adjustments/lubrication to prevent future issues. Great!

Great service and amazing product! Most quiet opener I have ever seen and freed up the space above the car.
