Description of Work: We got an Angie's List deal for this company to come out to do minor maintenance on our garage door. They showed up on time, were friendly, but professional. Didn't take them long. Would absolutely use them again.

Description of Work: Garage door opener failed. I had used Sound Door for the Angie's List reconditioning special last year and they were great. So I called them on April 4 and they came that day. They were quick, professional, personable. The new opener is much nicer than my old one, of course. Then the next day, I had a problem which turned out to be the new optical sensor. I hadn't realized how sensitive it was. I emailed Jon and he responded the same day, offering to come out. But by then I'd figured the sensor out myself. I was impressed by them and would recommend them.

Description of Work: Good professional and prompt service. Broken Spring was replaced and other garage door components were checked. I will call them again if other repairs are needed.

Description of Work: After I'd signed up for our Angie's List garage door service (and before they came out), the door's springs broke, so we needed more help than we though we'd need. The work was done well and at a fair price. In addition, after they were done, we had some trouble with the overhead light that's part of the opener and they came out and fixed it (no charge). Nice guys, good service. What's not to like?

Description of Work: Garage door - hired to check door and replace rollers. Also discovered that door hinges were loose and replaced those. Was very helpful about several maintenance items. Arrived on time after calling ahead. Will definitely contact in the future if garage door needs arise.

Description of Work: The company was great in scheduling an appointment and punctual on the day of service. The "deal" included assessment of our 20+ year old garage door system and replacement of some of the rollers. A review of the system dictated some cable and additional roller replacement. We felt all recommendations were appropriate and proceeded with extra work. Once the service was completed we went from a loud, jolting automatic garage door opening system to a smooth, quiet one that hopefully will last many more years. We recommend Sound Door Services to those needing automatic garage door services.

Description of Work: He was unable to perform the service as the company that made my garage doors went bankrupt and parts are not available. He agreed I should be 100% refunded.

Description of Work: I bought Sound Door Services "Special" on 1/28/2013. $99.99 covered garage door reconditioning and roller replacement. Jon Jacobs arrived on the agreed date and at the specified time. He was very courteous and very "up front" about the condition of my single-car garage door (old but, all in all, in good condition!) . Jon tested all aspects of the door's mechanism, tightened the chain, replaced the old metal rollers with teflon rollers, and lubricated all the appropriate areas, showing me which ones to lubricate in the future. He also examined the garage door opener motor and told me i has some metal flaking, is showing its age, but may well last another 2-3 years. The difference in the performance (smooth) and noise (quiet!) when we raise and lower the garage door is wonderful! I knew we could count on Sound Door, because they have replaced a number of garage doors in our condo complex and all of the owners are very pleased. So are we!

Description of Work: Replaced rollers, adjusted door to close properly, tightened all fittings. Great job. I am having them come back to add a strut needed to stop the door from a bowing slightly. They are not charging me for the service call only the part and installation. Great job... Thank you. They came back on the 26th and added a strut to my door to keep it from bending and charged me less than they quoted. They are very professional and do a great job at a good price. They were on time and very couteous. I would recommend tham and use them again.

Description of Work: Put new wheels ( as per the purchased package) but charge me addtional cost to add a silicone strip at the bottom of the garage door.

Very responsible, made some great suggestions on installing a wall mounted garage door opener--we use it mostly for storage--instead of just car ones we are always losing. Garage door missing some parts--fixed it. Very professional. Would definitely use again. I don't remember the price it was so long ago--so that is a guess. :)

Description of Work: Service person was professional and courteous. Arrived according to schedule and performed the service quickly. Garage door now open and close smoothly and quietly, so am very satisfied with the service provided.

Description of Work: The service I was to receive was the repair/reworking/tightening of hardware and replacement of the runners in my garage door. When the technician was on site he noiced that our garage door had been made by a company that was no longer in business - the runners were proprietary and they were no longer available. To compensate for this he replaced other hardware completed all the other tasks and was gone in an hour. I was very pleased with the service and the door operates soooo much more quieter and efficiently. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for garage door repair.

Description of Work: I had a deal for a couple of hrs of service or something like that( I can't remember exactly). They came on schedule and fixed the problem quickly. They found where the axle of one of the rollers was rubbing on the metal track causing an ungodly screech.

Description of Work: The technician came out, inspected my door and its parts and told me I did not need the service. The owner of the company called me and said he'd be fine with me asking for a refund or keeping credit on file for my future use. I told him I would ask for a refund.

Description of Work: We purchased a $99 garage door tune up on Angie's List and scheduled the service for a couple of weeks out. Scheduling was very simple - although we were not in a hurry since it was simply to replace one of the small wheels on the track and perform general maintenance. The service call was set for between the hours of 1 and 3 pm - and I'm happy to say that Dave, the technician was right on time. As it turns out, the Angie's List offer was not for the type of door pins we have on our garage. However, Dave still offered the discount and charged me a bit extra for the pins. I initially thought my cost would be $99 but we added $60 t the cost. It was still well below a regular "house call". Dave was a really nice guy and had the overhaul ready in less than 45 minutes. I was impressed by the technology he used (an iPad) for my check out and that he took the time to explain the mechanics of my door. Overall, I would highly recommend Sound Door Services. It was clear that they wanted to provide a high quality customer experience.
