Description of Work: The tech did a complete inspection, adjustment and lubrication on two double car garage doors. The appointment time was met and he did a professional job. Would recommend and use again.

Description of Work: On time and very professional to service my creaking garage door. Individual had been doing this for 10 years and was very knowledgeable. Performed all the needed safety checks and checked the overall condition of this 15 year old double garage door. Proceeded to replace all the rollers with nylon rollers which makes the door much quieter then the original metal rollers. Made all the needed adjustments to rebalanced the door and springs, lubed the garage door opener and roller tracks. Talk to me extensively on how to maintain the garage door and pitfalls to avoid in order to get as much service out of the garage door. Even left me with some lubrication for the roller tracks and chain. I am impressed and would not hesitate to call them if I needed any garage door related service.

Sound Door Services came out and had the parts in their truck and was able to fix it immediately. We have used Sound Door in the past and have been very, very impressed with their price,professionalism and quality. They are an honest small company that cares about their reputation and service. I only wish all repair companies could be as great as Sound Door is to customers!I would highly recommend to everyone (and have).

Description of Work: Bought an Angie's Big Deal package for garage door reconditioning and was very pleased with the responsiveness of the company and the quality of the work.

Description of Work: The service man came and inspected my door. He advised that I did not need to replace anthing at theis time. No service was performed and they refunded my coupon price without me even asking. I am very impressed with their honesty, integrity and professionalism.

Description of Work: The repairman was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He did a great job and will consider them again. My only complaint was the interaction in trying to set up the appointment. On first call, I was asked if he could call me back. No call back. My second call, he once again asked to call me back and I said 'no.' He then scheduled the appointment. I was concerned re the pending service appointment, but was very pleased with the man who actually did the repair.

I happened to damage the door in about 2 months and Jon replaced the damaged section without charging us for labor\service. Excellent and Very professional. I would recommend them to my friends.

Description of Work: I can't completely comment on Sound Door Service because they don't service the Gig Harbor area and have an office in Tacoma. The gentlemen who did answer the phone was borderline rude, as if I caught him in the middle of a job. I wanted to use this service because of the great deal listed on Angie's List for the week but will have to find another company to fix my door. I can't rate the quality nor the punctuality because the service wasn't provided but the app won't allow me to not rate an area.

Description of Work: Sound Door Services inspected the garage door problem -- the coils are old and they are not worth replacing (will spend almost the cost of a new garage door). I ordered a new door which they installed.

Description of Work: John arrived ahead of time. He assessed my noisy garage door, raising and lowering it several times. He said,"your door has upper and lower roller brackets that are no longer made. I can't replace them and I do not recommend replacing just six of your ten rollers.He then asked me when I'd last lubricated these rollers, or the springs and the bearings at the ends of the spring shafts. I told him, "Never, as I thought these were all sealed." He said, politely, "We recommend you lubricate a garage door's fittings every six months." He then took a can of spray lubricant, applying it to all the fittings. He raised and lowered it several more times. The door was nearly silent compared to before. He commented to the effect, "It isn't broken, so there's no point in fixing it." He charged me nothing for the call, and said I would receive a refund of my payment.

Description of Work: One of our garage doors stopped working and after checking all of the possible causes, we contacted Sound Door Services. This company arranged a meeting time and called the following day to confirm the appointment. The technicians (Joel and Dave) arrived promptly, assessed the problem, tried various remedies and eventually fixed the circuit board which had malfunctioned. I was impressed with the professionalism and thoughtfulness of the two employees and the service guarantees offered by the company. The following day I received a call from the owner, John, who checked to make sure I was happy with the service provided. I would not hesitate to contact this company in the future.
