Description of Work: Our frost-free refrigerator was frosting up. Turns out the little door in the icemaker wasn't closing completely. Repairman found out what the problem was and fixed the door so it closed. No problem since.

Description of Work: Robs Repair charges a service fee to come to your house. They will apply the fee to your bill if you have the repair done. I needed the repair done, but they were not capable of doing the repair. Instead, they had to refer me to another company, yet they still charged for the service call.

Description of Work: I called Rob's because my dishwasher failed. The problem was identified quickly but the tech did not have the part that was needed so had to order it and return a second time. The dishwasher has worked perfectly since then, and that was nearly a year and half ago.

 + -1 moreI was able to make an appointment for the following day for a two hour time slot (better then the four hours most others were giving me). The repairman arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair. In and out in less then 30 minutes. Overall great experience.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher was not draining. The service individual diagnosed the problem and completed the repair.

Description of Work: First Rob showed up on time. He was able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly with his knowledge of the relatively new refrigerator. Due to the malfunctioning refrigerator computer he was not prepared with a new part but showed up promptly the next day, again on time, replacing the part quickly.

 + -1 moreThey worked me into their schedule within a day. Incredibly efficient guy arrived on time, was careful about containing mess, and fixed the drive coupling within 15 minutes. Made a few helpful suggestions and answered some random questions about best options for appliance replacements we are considering around the house. Offered to make recommendations at a later date by phone. Would DEFINITELY use them again.
Description of Work: Washer repair on 9 yr old Whirlpool. Suddenly stopped spinning/agitating after years of flawless service. Laundry mountain loomed, called 3 places and everyone had at least a week out on appointments. I was able to provide model and serial number and basic outline of the problem.

 + -1 moreRob's appliance was able to schedule me for the week after I called and Craig showed up at prearranged time ready to work. It all went very smoothly. I received better service then I had expected at a reasonable rate.
Description of Work: Craig repaired my trash compactor and clothes dryer. In addition to the repairs I needed, he was able to adjust wheels, so I had a smoother running track on my compactor and he replaced drum wheels on my dryer so that it ran more quietly. He was friendly, efficient and quick. Craig has been doing this for over 20 years and provided me with an education on each of the appliances as he repaired them.

 + -1 moreTHE REPAIRMAN WAS PROMPT AND EFFICIENT. HOWEVER, I HAD TRIED TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM ON MY OWN BY STARTING TO DISMANTLE THE DRYER. HE WAS LESS THAN IMPRESSED WITH THE PARTS I HAD DISCONNECTED, SAYING I HAD ENDANGERED MY FAMILY. HE WAS APOLOGETIC THAT HE HAD UPSET ME AND WAS GENEROUS WITH A DISCOUNT.
Description of Work: MY DRYER WAS NOT DRYING BUT THE DRUM WAS ROTATING. THE REPAIRMAN REPLACED THE HEATER IN THE DRYER ELEMENT.

HE WOULDN'T LOOK AT OUR OVEN (THAT WAS ALSO DAMAGED) AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE BECAUSE I HADN'T REQUESTED THAT SERVICE PRIOR TO HIS ARRIVAL. IT WOULD HAVE TO BE A COMPLETELY SEPARATE SERVICE CALL AND VISIT. ALSO, I WAS GIVEN A FOUR HOUR BLOCK OF TIME THAT HE WOULD ARRIVE AT THE HOUSE. I WAITED THE ENTIRE DAY, AND WHEN HE DIDN'T SHOW UP, I CALLED THE OFFICE. THE OFFICE HAD GIVEN US MISINFORMATION ON THE DATE HE WAS COMING, AND HE ACTUALLY DIDN'T COME UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY (AND I HAD TO BE HOME AND AVAILABLE AGAIN FOR ANOTHER FOUR HOUR BLOCK OF TIME). I WAS ALSO CHARGED A FLAT RATE OF $180 PLUS TAX FOR A JOB HE COMPLETED IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES, NO SEPARATE CHARGE FOR PARTS OR LABOR. IF NO WORK WAS DONE, A SERVICE CALL WAS $40. SO I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT PRICE WAS DETERMINED.
Description of Work: THE REFRIGERATOR STOPPED WORKING AFTER A POWER SURGE AND WAS NO LONGER STAYING COLD. THE FAN MOTOR WAS REPLACED. TEST RUN AFTERWARDS SHOWED EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FINE.
