Renewal By Andersen of Washington

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor or service oriented business during my life of 50 years. I initiated a contract with them on September 5 and they guaranteed that they would install the door and windows before November. On October 4 they told me they did not order the door and it would not arrive until November 6. I made plans to have a hardwood floor installed beginning October 31, and the door was supposed to be installed prior to the floor installation. I agreed to allow them to install the door after the floors, and they promised to install the windows beginning October 24. I spoke with them several times in email and by phone leading up to October 24. I am renovating the house, and things need to happen in a certain order, such as installing doors and windows and then doing the finish and paint work. I spoke with them on October 23, and they were going to arrive at the house the next morning around 9 AM to install the windows. The morning of October 24, at 7 AM they called to let me know that the windows were going to arrive on October 30, and that they would not be able to install them on October 24. This company is extremely disorganized. Since there are past reviews with good feedback, I assume they are under new management. I would stay far, far away from this company. I am trying to get a refund, but they say they cannot refund the money. I will investigate other options, but I hope that they will refund the money. They have caused an enormous amount of trouble for myself and my family.

Ryan M and Zack M did a wonderful job installing a patio door, 2 dining room windows and 2 bedroom windows. We love our windows and more importantly, have had a great experience with this company from the Sales Rep - David to our installers. This is the third time we have had Renewal by Andersen out for windows (we are on the "installment" plan). I highly recommend this company and the windows. They do not disappoint.

However, the install crew that they sent over when we finally had schedule in place, I have to say were very friendly and courteous. They were polite and kept assuring me that if something is wrong, they will be back so not to worry and they walked me through the door mechanisms. Prior to starting, they explained what they would do, laid down the covers, put up sheeting to prevent the dust from going everywhere and hand wiped and cleaned the floors and surrounding area afterwards. Mike D helped caulk some areas for me so I would not need to when I get around to painting the trim. The crew seemed great in terms of team work: Justin K, Mike D and Ryan P. It sounded like they were training one of the guys in the crew and the more senior one explain the why of how they were doing things and the impact it would have if it wasn't done the right way.

Sales: When arranging an appointment to meet with the RBA sales rep, I was told my spouse had to be there. I didn't like this, it's very inconvenient to arrange with how busy everyone is these days, but we made it work. The sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable, answered questions (and if he didn't know the answer, he admitted it and called his office to clarify any points which I value above trying to brazen it out). There was a bit of that 'but wait, there's MORE discounts if you buy extra windows' feeling going on during the pitch, but that was not unexpected. Overall, nothing against the sales rep, just wished the process had been speedier and a little less infomercial-esque. Windows: We had 4 new windows installed. They're gorgeous. They work. 2 days after installation I have no complaints (and hopefully won't have any 2 or 20 years from now). They repaired the rot surrounding one window. Installation: Here is were RBA really shines! The crew was polite, friendly, punctual, clean (my living room floor was cleaner after they left then it was before they arrived), willing to answer any questions I had and able to do so while continuing to work so progress wasn't even slowed down. Ryan M took the time during the walk through to test all the windows, found the latch on one was a) broken (he rebuilt it with parts from the truck since he didn't have another white one) and then b) the same latch wasn't centered properly, so he took the latch apart again, drilled new holes, and centered the latch properly. The entire crew (Ryan, Brock, Billy and a trainee whose name I did not catch) stayed late to finish the job up in one day rather than two.

The crew was professional and thorough. The replacement went without a hitch.

It was on time, performed on schedule, and the crew was very professional and cleaned up beautifully. We have really enjoyed the windows.

I had a very large kitchen window and a smaller side window replaced by Renewal by Andersen. They are beautiful, energy efficient, and the grids are on the inside of the glass. Install went smoothly. I am very pleased with their appearance and they match up very nicely with the rest of the Andersen windows in my house. The price was fair and the service was very good. Kudos to the installers, Monte K and Bryant, they were very polite and did not leave a mess.

Highly professional people who did the work exactly as promised. They had heir own workshop/truck. Two man team the were skilled and efficient. They had to work around the unlevel nature of the space and gave me good looking operational windows. There were 8 windows replaced. My only complaint, if you could call it that, was limited choices of the hardware available. This was a pricey redo, but worth every cent in light of the quality of the job all around.

This was a huge purchase for us, and it was important it go well. Andersen answered all our questions prior to purchase, and afterwards as well. They came out and measured, ordered the windows, and installed them a few weeks later. The installation went quickly and well. They made any repairs to the exterior, using primed wood. They caulked everything thoroughly. The semi-circular window had an incorrect Grille pattern, but they gladly reordered, then replaced, the window with the correct pattern. The Andersen installation team ran like a well-oiled machine. They were replacing 30 year old aluminum windows, so some changes needed to be addressed. They did a good job on the carpentry modifications that were necessary. They cleaned up any wood shavings and hauled away our old windows. This was in November, mind you, and it all went very smoothly. We are very pleased with our windows.

Our installation crew, David S. and Johnny, did a fantastic job and were very professional and cordial. They arrived promptly every day and kept us informed about schedule, etc. The quality of their work was excellent!

From the first visit with Sarah Galante, to the measuring by Nick, and for the removal of the old doors/window to the final installation of the new by David and Johnny, everyone was very professional, polite, funny and knowledgeable! I was nervous of this big project, but they handled everything from beginning to end with professionalism, and they made me quite comfortable! It was fun to watch David and Johnny work their magic! Great job!

The order for the doors got "lost". So the day before installation was scheduled, the local store calls that they do not have the doors and cannot locate them. They were reordered and delivered/installed a few weeks later. The workmanship was OK but just bit less than what I had expected. After two years I have to re-stain the wooden door post and we cannot get any help to obtain the stain color to match the doors.

Justin K. & Peter did an Excellent Job installing our new Window and Sliding Glass Door. They were very helpful, answered all of our questions and cleaned up after they were done. Very Satisfied with Renewal by Andersen.

The two men who came did an excellent job installing the windows and figure out how to keep the existing wood frames so that there was no need to disturb the look of the windows.

Excellent work; timely, friendly, knowledgeable installers; Love my new large kitchen window. Top quality! Would definitely recommend them to others!

Terrible. They said they work 7 days a week. Twice I had an appointment on Sunday and they cancel it the day of the appointment. So I rescheduled for Monday evening, they told me 1.5 hours with me and husband and 3 hours by myself and had a hard time accepting to meet me alone (I am not smart enough or what!). At least we met for an hour and agreed to meet again the following week at 2pm on a Monday. They called during the weekend to confirm, i was out of town so I returned the call Monday 1 hour before the appointment and they had cancelled it! I am just trying to get a quote, not a Marriage License, so if you can not meet with me alone and just keep canceling my appointments when I make space in the day to meet with you, definitely is not a company that I can work with. Imagine what would have happen once they started the work!!! Definitely bad customer service.

Excellent service and windows are top quality. They technicians were careful with my personal items and perfectionists in installation. They were also courteous and good humored during their work.

Just had all the windows replaced in our house by Renewal by Anderson. The installer crew, Justin K. and Peter, and augmented by Manuel did a excellent job, they represented their company in a professional manner, were on-time daily as promised over the four day project. They took great care to prepare each room and each window to assure our house would remain as clean as possible, and at the end of each day cleaned up inside and outside. It appears we made the right choice with new windows from Renewal by Anderson. The windows look great and we look forward to many years of outstanding performance from them.

Just completed a new sliding door. The installation crew, Colin and Jeff, went above and beyond. They not only did a great job and took care of every detail but also were super nice guys, always on time and with the patience to explain me the process. Both paid attention to the details and had the right approach to the installation.They were very professional knowledgeable and courteous, I am very happy with our new sliding doors.

They called me within 5 minutes of putting in my request, but they proceeded to tell me that they have a TWO WINDOW MINIMUM. Doesn't say that anywhere in their ad or page here. Also makes their "20% off the second window!" type of discount a tad moot and dishonest, does it not? This is what we get when companies sense that there is more money to be made in doing $100k installations for McMansions rather than by helping the little guy. Avoid.

Hi all readers, I just had the team Lincoln, Chris J., and Peter complete a rather difficult installation that required a lot of really detailed work. I could not have been more pleased. They exceeded in what I expected from professionals. They are true professionals and I highly recommend them as the team to call on. Renewal by Anderson promised the best and they delivered. My order was screwed up and so that extended the length of the overall product. I wasn't very impressed with their general manager and there was one installer I thought treated his co-worker very poorly during the first install. The second install went smoothly and Lincoln, Dan, David and Gerardo were all awesome. Excellent carpentry skills and beautiful end product.

Great! The installers Chris V. and Cole H. were punctual and professional. There were some challenges they ran into and they would always discuss with me the possible solutions to the problem and we together would agree on a resolution. They did a great job of protecting the floors and furnishing in the house. When they came they went right to work maintained a steady pace.
