Repair and refinish work were done professionally. Had small problems with them not being aware that they needed to finish work before 5:00 pm because of homeowners association rules - probably was my fault for not confirming they were aware. Also, the natural gas somehow got turned off while they were working. As a result, when we returned after being away for 3 days while they refinished the floor, the house was cold and water heater didn't work. We only discovered the problem after a furnace repairman discovered the problem.

It was fine. I took them because they were the best price I had at the time.

Hardwood flooring product quality was good and matched the rest of the house. Initial purchasing and payment at their showroom was easy and professional. The work crew showed up on time, performed the work quicker than expected. The work was done right the first time without any hitches. Very professional, clean and good quality work. They did an outstanding job - especially in comparison to other contractors that performed work on other tasks at the house at the same time. Pro Flooring was the preferred contractor we dealt with and we will use them again.

We hired Pro Flooring in September 2009 to install new, pre-finished solid wood floors in our entire house for $16,000 including materials. We interviewed at least seven contractors before choosing them. They were referred to us by a flooring store and we read several good reviews online. The price was competitive and the owner, Bogdan Goia, spoke convincingly about their level of craftsmanship. Their website, which turns out to be a generic, fill-in-your-company-name-here type, also talks about their quality and attention to detail. Bottom line, the job was horrible. We filed a lawsuit in late 2009 after having four other flooring contractors look at the finished installation. They all said the floors would have to be ripped up and replaced. We hired a National Wood Flooring Association-certified hardwood flooring expert to examine the installation who took over 100 photos, and wrote a detailed report saying the floor needed to be replaced entirely to fix the problems. The problems included the floor boards being laid in a curve from one end of the house to the other (60 feet long) on both levels of the house, gaps between multiple boards, heat vents not installed flush with the floor and varnished in place so the grills wouldn't open, cardboard was used to shim a stair tread to make it look level (it bounced when you stepped on it), the board ends stair-stepped too close together (which nullified the manufacturer?s warranty because it did not meet their installation standards). They tried to hide gaps in the flooring by smearing caulk in the spaces. They installed a custom stair without using a single piece of wood for the tread and risers. They filled the gap between the boards with caulk. They smeared varnish on some of the pre-finished boards. This describes only about half of the problems the flooring inspector listed. When we pointed out issues during the project, Mr. Goia said they would be fixed but they either ?fixed? them poorly or not at all. From the first day they arrived to do the job it was clear they were in a rush to get out. Their focus was to get on to the next job as soon as possible regardless of the impact on the ?quality? of their work. We settled the dispute out of court about a year after the original installation. The settlement funds did not cover the cost to replace the floors or our attorney fees and court costs but at least we got something. We hired a new flooring contractor through the Home Owners Club who replaced the floors and did an incredible job. (The Home Owners Club guarantees the work of all of the contractors who work through them.) Our new floors are beautiful and we finally have our house back. A word to the wise: do not hire Pro Flooring for a job of any size. We wouldn?t wish our experience on anyone.

They didn't do a good job at all and I will have to hire and do it all again. It was a fairly small job. The price was fairly low but the quality of the job was worse than the price.
