Working with Lake Washington Windows and Doors was excellent! The salespeople (I mostly worked with Jim) were knowledgeable, professional, took the time and exhibited great patience in answering a slew of questions about their products. We worked together to make sure the windows selected met the EnergyStar requirements necessary to get an energy rebate from the city. The installers were incredibly kind, professional, and conscientious, and pretty quick! They did a great job replacing a couple of rotted sills and matching the existing style of the home, and were honest in their assessment of the condition of some questionable weather-worn areas. Everyone on the "office" side was responsive and courteous as well. Like most projects, we hit a couple of snags along the way (one window was sent with the wrong glass, and one we didn't end up installing due to other issues in the wall that I need to address) but everything was resolved smoothly and billing was fairly adjusted. Overall, I feel that I got the best value for the service provided and the product installed. I had talked to 4 companies and while Lake Washington wasn't the cheapest, it also wasn't the most expensive, and I feel very confident in the product we selected, quality of the install, warranty, and general good business practices and professionalism. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again if I have any other window/door needs in the future!

This group is awesome. From sales to delivery to warranty they were responsive, professional, and nice folks to work with. I have 4 more windows to replace and will use LWWD again. They were honest, with no hint of BS, and kept their word at every step of the process.

Lake Washington Windows and Doors were super fantastic from beginning to end. During our search for windows we received bids from 2 different companies that sold the Milgard Aluminum windows we wanted. Jon Woods was super friendly, timely and quick to get us a bid. He went through the house and explained the process and timeline. He made suggestions when asked and gave a clear description of the installation. We ultimately decided to use Lake Washington Windows because they offered a better installation using flashing on the upper portion of the window as well as the lower portion of the windows. The other company said that flashing was only needed on the bottom portion because we had wide overhang of the roof. But I know from previous experience that when the rain and wind comes down at a side angle it could be prone to leaking. We submitted our deposit within a few days and a guy set up an appointment to come out to measure. (I wish i could remember his name because he was professional and friendly) He even made a special trip out to us to pre deliver the wood trim used on the outside so that i could paint them before the installation. Throughout the entire process Tahlia the scheduler was prompt in returning questions, and kept me up to date from the time we paid our deposit until after the windows were installed. They were even installed on schedule. We will definitely use them again when we replace all of the basement windows. Love these people. We have used many different companies in the seattle area from electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers etc while we've remodeled and updated our home and I we have been sorely disappointed. I can honestly say that Lake Washington Windows and Doors are some of the best. SO many companies here in Seattle are thriving because of the housing market and they obviously don't give a **** about the customers because they are already overbooked but LWW&D's do care.

I an excited to say I have found a one-in-a-million company. LWW&D was professional, friendly and efficient from beginning to end, from the salesman to the installers. I have no complaints, only praise. Thank you for the pleasant and fulfilling experience. We LOVE our windows!!!

From the estimate, to the paperwork, to the install, the whole process went very smoothly with no complaints on my end. Every employee I spoke with was very professional, we got a reasonable price for our windows, and they have made a world of a difference in the curb appeal and functionality of our home. The install only took a few hours and they were prompt and courteous. Very happy with this company and have already recommended them to friends.

We ordered. They measured and gave us a date to expect new doors. The delivery was quite late and the double front door didn't fit and had to be taken away. They were able to use one (fairly insignificant) exterior door...and didn't do the weatherstripping. A supervisor had to come out and do that. Very poor work quality.

Very poorly. First of all, our salesman was just that...all about the sales, nothing about the follow up. It was extremely difficult for us to keep updated as he was hard to track down. Then, he didn't really know his product. They had no showroom to speak of. Then, when we waited 3+ months for our front door and a VERY basic secondary exterior door to be delivered...they'd ordered a totally wrong and different front door. We did something we've never done before...we paid for the single, simple door and told them we'd find another company to do our front door. We were extremely disappointed.

The guys came when they said and got the work done in 2 days. I found that they had missed sealing the top of the doors, I call and someone came out and fixed it within 2 days. So overall happy with the job they did.

Setting up the appointment was fine, and the office staff friendly. On the day of the appointment Eric called to let me know that he was in the area sooner than expected, and could meet earlier if I preferred, or that he'd be happy to wait until the scheduled time. I appreciated the thoughtfulness of that and took him up on the offer to come early. Eric was mostly polite and professional, and took care to remove his shoes etc. in my home. There was a bit of sales pitch, but it wasn't obnoxious. The quote was higher than others, but not prohibitively so. At the end of the day I chose another company because Lake Washington Windows was not able to accommodate several narrow window openings, nor provide double sliders.

Went fabulously! They installed within their promised schedule. On the day of installation, they started early so I could attend a late afternoon funeral. Quality of the work is terrific. Wish I had more windows so I could use them again.

I have been recommending these guys based on what I thought was great quality work. I discovered a while back when remodeling a bedroom that one window they had installed had no form of insulation around the window, so the only "insulation" was the clear caulk on the nailing plate. I thought at the time it was just the one window, but as I just discovered, it turns out we found all the windows and doors to be lacking any kind of foam cord or other insulation around the installs (both replacements and new). Very noticeable on a cold day. This means all our highly efficient new windows and doors have only a millimeter or so of plastic acting as the insulator around them. I have had to spend hours reworking all of these to properly insulate (pulling all the interior trim, insulating, and reinstalling trim), which would have been a simple job at installation and only required $20 in materials if they had done it properly. I had contacted the company and they said : "We will not typically add any foam or seal other than caulking with the “block frame installation”. We will sometimes offer this if the interior trim is removed during installation in which case we use a foam backer that we can push in from the interior" Since they provided and installed all the interior trim, and had access to do this, and a number of the windows and doors were new cutouts done by them, I would have expected foam cord somewhere, but there was none...or at least let me know at the time so that I could spend the $20 on top of the 19K to do the job properly. The rest of the work was first rate...shame they skipped this one simple and inexpensive step they have lost their rating with me.

I used their online form to describe how I would like a quote for one window installation. I did not receive a response. After serveral days, I called to request a quote and left a message with a person. The person said a representative would call me back. Several days have passed and I have not received a call back. If the job is too small, at least let the customer know so they don't waste their time.

Very good experience all the way around. Mathew was the salesperson - he was knowledgeable and helpful, but not pushy. Not phony. Gave us a lot of helpful info and tips. The installation crew was very professional. They worked hard, and quickly, but without rushing. It was clear they were quite experienced. I was impressed by how well they shielded the rest of the home from mess. In fact, one young woman seemed to be there entirely to keep the mess under control throughout the job - rather than just clean up at the end. There was one small installation issue (door sill needed a little more firm backing - it was a bit spongy - but they came back promptly to correct it. No problem at all - one friendly call made and they took care of it. , The windows themselves are great. The house is much less drafty, the windows look great, and one thing I didn't expect but am so happy about is how much quieter the house is. It's a huge difference. Salesperson Mathew even stopped by after the installation to take a look and make sure we were happy. That is not typical, at least in my experience with contractors. And my job wasn't even all that big. This upgrade was more beneficial than I had thought. I likely will use them again to do the rest of the windows in the house in the future.

Excellent project from beginning to end. We have done many home remodeling projects over the last 10 years and this has been the best experience we've had with a company. I am detailed and organized and this company met my expectations and is exactly what you would hope for when you hire a company and invest a lot of money in a project. Eric Snider provided the quote and came out to my house many, many times because I changed the scope of the project after our initial meeting and it required him to make several trips. He also went above and beyond to make sure the project was going smoothly after work began. He was on top of it every time I contacted him, professional and never gave me grief about the many, many changes, questions and concerns. EXCELLENT customer service! Once the project started Mike Deschane was the project manager and was also so invested in every detail and making sure that the project went well. He tweaked our door several times to make sure it open and closed to our satisfaction and even swept the front driveway and porch at the end of the project to make sure our property was left clean. The crew that did the work was also excellent. They were easy to work with and again worked to make sure we were happy with the way the siding and window trim was installed and extremely patient when there were "bumps" during the project. Extremely satisfied customers and would hire them again without question!

The project went very well and we are extremely pleased with the work. Josh was the project manager and spent significant time with us during our decision making stage. We never felt rushed or pushed and he did his best in accommodating our schedule with meeting us in the show room early on weekend mornings and coming to our home on several evenings. Mike the production manager was very pleasant and knowledgable, as were all his installers. One window came from the factory too short, which only delayed the project a bit and some of the screens needed replacement. These were only minor inconveniences that were handled appropriately and in a timely manner by the team and are to be expected with a project of this size. We love the thicker and wider trim work installed around the windows and really appreciate the craftsmanship. The windows themselves have also made a significant improvement in the aesthetics of our home and we immediately noticed how much quieter our house had become.

Everyone involved was highly professional. Installers arrived as scheduled and completed the demolition and installation with minimal disruption. Finished in several hours and cleaned the area nicely.

The patio doors only come in one size and our patio door opening was too large. They made a solid wood frame that was installed inside the opening that the new doors fit into. The opening was trimmed out inside and out.. The outside trim painted to match the rest of the trim of the house. They were well organized, the job was done quickly, and our new deck well protected. They worked well in tandem and it was obvious they have done this a long time.

Start to finish this was a great experience. Josh was the salesperson and was very helpful in helping me understand my options. Out of three bids, theirs was right in the middle, however the other two bids I received were for the StyleLine rather than the slightly better Tuscany line. They replaced all of the old cedar exterior trim with Hardie. The crew was fantastic--very courteous and knowledgable. They worked super hard every day they were here. A new french door was supposed to come from the manufacturer with a retractable screen--however it was missing at the time of install. Lake WA Windows & Doors really went above and beyond in making sure I was happy. They worked with a screen installer to get a higher quality retractable screen installed as a replacement. I am very pleased with the service I received and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Everyone at Lake Washington Windows and Doors provided exceptional customer service, accuracy of measurements for the new install windows and sliding glass door, on time, on budget and outstanding communication and follow up. Rebates were offered to assist in maximizing the best savings for the time period and all documents were given to submit for those rebates at time of job completion. Two final walk-throughs were given, one by the Lead Installer/Supervisor who was exceptional in Milgard product knowledge and the other by the Sales Rep who was initially instrumental in doing an exceptional job with product and company presentation. The installers were equally exceptional in their meticulous workmanship, courtesy, punctuality, and final clean up.
