Dam Handy Handyman Services

I am updating this info as of 10/13: after this review, the Dam Handyman rep called me after seeing this review. He explained that there were issues with WES out of his control. He offered to provide the info he researched to my new contractor. I wanted update this noting the actions he took. I do understand his position since he was not the primary on this job so i have also changed my score. However, In my opinion he should have at minimum returned my messages just letting me know it was out of his control. I do appreciate him explaining and following up now. Orig: This is a dual review for Dam Handy Handyman and Plumbworks by Washington Energy Services (will be posting on WES also). WES let me know they did plumbing and since I have an issue with one of my showers (leaking enclosure), they came out to my home - took measurements, let me know they could bid me a reinstall of an enclosure or using all tile/or partional tile and enclosure. The rep let me know they had a tile person they would send to my home. (Dam Handy Handyman) arrived a few days later and was extremely nice, professional (I thought at the time) and took measurements, let me know I would be receiving a bid on the tile as the plumbing pieces were worked by WES. IN any event, I did not get a bid until I started calling each of these reps weeks later - and once being told I would get my bid "on Friday" and Dam Handy never returning my call. I finally tracked down someone at WES who let me know they would figure this out (now a month later) and I was then sent a bid for a bathtub enclosure (I only have a shower) with no fix to any walls or tile - yet, they put an option in for me to buy a new toilet from them. I asked them why I do not have a tile estimate (but a toilet I never asked for) - they never replied. Very disappointing - looks like I got someone else's bid and they never did mine. I used WES for installation of all of my windows in my home so I was completely surprised by this lack of service or follow-up. Dam Handy rep appeared to be a nice guy but never returned my message or a bid. I feel this was all a waste of my time during the 2 days they visited and I need to get this leak fixed now almost 2 months later. I do have the names and email to support.

The work was done on time and on budget. Everything was handled professionally. The fence is beautiful; so much nicer and sturdier than neighbors' fences who used other contractors.
