D & L Gutters

Highly recommend for those with time constraints.

Very well! Installer did a great job (they work fine and the mitred corners are visually great). Installer even took the extra thought to use the new downspout material in place of some older stuff right next to the entry so the overall look of "new" wasn't spoiled by the old downspout. He reused the old one on the side of the house. All-in-all, I'm very pleased. D&L wasn't the cheapest, but for something that'll be on the house for 30 or 40 years a few hundred extra should be a reasonable investment for good work.

They were excellent. When I called they answered and came out within two days for the estimate and then returned in one week to do the job. From start to finish it took about 4-5 hours. They removed our old gutters (which practically fell off, they needed replacing so badly!) and replaced them with new aluminum gutters and larger downspouts to prevent clogs. The installation person was friendly and pointed out a few helpful things for me to be aware of and then got right down to business. He cleaned up well when finished and it all looks great. Couldn't be happier!

Estimate was 3 times as much as another two other bids for a simple gutter replacement.

David showed up on time to do estimate and had good insight and knowledge of gutters. I was originally look for some form of leaf filter, (Actually fir needles!) He made a suggestion of an alternative approach that I am convinced will work better and resulted in a lower cost for the project. I obtained 5 bids, with D&L being the second lowest. Deciding factor was that we had a common friend. I wanted to do work on the fascia boards, after the gutters had been pulled down and D&L worked with me, pulling the gutters down and then coming back after I had completed my painting etc. Jeff was the installer and I would recommend highly that you make sure he is yours! Pleasant guy, treats your property with respect and is really good a what he does. Fit on the gutters and downspouts was excellent. I asked for some special routing on some downspouts - no problem. I didn't want to replace my gutters, but once I got by that, I was completely satisfied with the finished product and the process of getting it done. Gutters are all made from from the same material, using the same process. The difference in companies is the skill and service. These guys have both of them nailed.

The owner of the company visited my property, made a rough inspection, helped me select a color for one section that would be replaced, and provided an estimate. We agreed to go forward with the work and approximately a week later the technician came to my property and performed the work. The final bill came in slightly lower than the estimate. There was a minor problem with a roof tile that had come lose, that I noticed after the work was completed and the technician had left. I called D & L Gutters and they quickly came back to my property and repaired the roof tile without an additional charge. Very good work. Completely professional. I won't hesitate to use them again.

Good. Arrived on time. Completed the job in the time estimated. Price was as estimated. Gutters are working great.

Called Dave, on Mon. he gave me a proposal on Wed and he installed on Friday. Very easy to organize this. He called me when the work was done. He is very easy to work with. Great looking and functioning installation.

I called and explained the problem. They gave me a ball park figure on the cost over the phone. They came out, fixed the problem and charged me the price they had quoted over the phone. They didn't try to hard sell any product on me. Told me my gutters were in good shape, even tho they were years old. I really appreciate a "no sales pitch". They said if I ever decided to install new gutters & downspouts, give them a call and they would give me a bid.

They had an excellent professional response to our request for bid. Their bid was 85 % more than a competitors bid who had the same excellent rating on Angie's List. We chose the competitor. We would contact them again in the future for bids and consider using them.

From speaking with Dave Whitney to working with the installer Jeff, we had a superb experience and highly recommend this company to any one needing gutters. They were polite, prompt and extremely professional. They also had the best price.

They inspected the gutters and said they needed to be replaced. Then they replaced them.

On the weekend I discovered that one of the gutters on the side of my house had come unatttached and was on the ground. Monday morning I came to Angie's List seeking repair of the gutter. I selected D & L Gutters and contacted them. Monday afternoon they looked at the job and provided me with a quote which included the gutter repair and cleaning the gutters. By four thirty on Tuesday the job was completed. I strongly recomend D & L Gutters, they were great!

Excellent communication, very courteous and responsive. Dave quoted us initially on a less expensive 5-in wide gutter. Given the problems we have with nearby trees in the fall, we elected to pay another $300 for 6-in gutters that will be easier to maintain. The gutters look great and were installed with hidden hangers. Top-notch job, quick response on the estimate and on scheduling the work. I'd have D&L back again and recommend highly.

The company responded immediately with an appointment for an estimate. They arrived promptly on the day of service and worked efficiently. Everything seems to be fine--no leaks.

Called gave quote over the phone with our measurements. Came out the next day and installed. Super fast and they look great. Totally fair price.

WELL. I'M QUITE SATISFIED WITH THE WORK.

I called D&L to check out an overflowing gutter. They were prompt in coming out and evaluating the problem. Provided two ways of fixing the issue, but said that the best way would be known only once the repair person looked for himself/herself. They ended up installing a new drain pipe, which was the more expensive option. I am happy with the outcome, but need time over the next few months to evaluate how this works long term. For now, the fix is good.

I called Dave the day before to request an estimate and he arrived within an hour of my phone call. Job was completed the following day in a neat and professional manner.

Our house had a few gutters which were pulling away from the house and sagging at these areas, causing water to build up and cascade over the edge of the gutter towards the foundation of the house. We had renailed the gutters several times, however, the problem kept recurring. We called D&L gutters to give us an estimate to remedy this problem. D&L gutters came out within a day or two to give us an estimate. Dave walked around the house and quickly targeted the problem. He recommended renailing the gutters to every board. He said our gutters were in good condition and they just needed to be renailed (some) and nailed to every board (rafter). D&L gutters came out (one man) with in a couple of days and completed the work in half of a day, or less. He renailed all of our gutters to every board and cleaned the gutters (we have a lot of trees surrounding our house). The gutters are working very well now. They are securely on the house and functioning well at keeping all of this rain away from our foundation. They were very professional and courteous. They completed the work in a timely manner (1/2 day) and left the house surrounds in the same condition (eg did not dirty the decks with all the pine needles from the gutters). I would absolutely use D&L gutters again.

They came right out to give me an estimate. The guy came on time to do the work. I was happy with them.

Our overall experience was pleasant and very satisfactory. We are pleased with the gutter covers as they keep out the leaves and pine needles and allow our gutters to flow properly. Dave gave the 5 % discount and also took our payment by credit card as advertised on their advertisement. The cost was very reasonable. We will definitely use D & L Gutters again.

It was a great, non-eventful experience. We didn't need to be home and there wasn't a "rush" to get the check to him. He was very flexible about payment - they would stop by and if we were home, fine, if not, we could mail it in. After the work was done and invoice was left and we were told Dave would be by on Friday to pick up the check. Unfortunately, I forgot to leave the checkbook with my husband and we were told just to drop the check in the mail. The downspouts were put up very quickly, we were told that one of them was clogged at the foundation level, not the acutal downspout per se. We didn't know that and appreciate being told so we don't incur foundation damage. There was no mess at all and they look great.
