Description of Work: Don't hold him to that price. It was a long time ago and we had a lot of expenses during a remodel. They removed a GIANT maple tree and ground the stump. (So large, its limbs spread out like an umbrella over the garage and part of the house, some intertwined power lines.) We had used Bushman in the past and made arrangements by phone this time as we were out of town and the tree had to come down. Upon returning, a huge pile of sawdust sat where the tree had been. Unfortunately, the side of our newly painted garage with cedar shingles had been scraped as branches were moved out of the yard and a small Italian prune tree (gift from my deceased father-in-law) was missing. When brought to his attention, Mark explained what happened. (A branch fell on it and it broke.) He immediately offered to replace it with a new Italian prune and to come try and fix the scratches on the garage. I would have rated an A for professionalism if he'd called to let us know the Italian prune was collateral damage and offered to touch up the side of the garage. There was remarkably little damage given the close quarters in which they had to remove a giant tree. I would absolutely call on their services again.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Bushman Tree Service. Mark came out for a bid 2 days after I contacted him and gave me an excellent price to cut down a huge Alder tree in my front yard. His crew is very friendly and do a great job cleaning up. Mark gave me a great idea to put a tree in a whisky barrel on the huge stump to make it look pretty in the spring.

 + -1 moreThis was a big job. It took a few men most of the day to do. The whole area was raked, old limbs we had cut had been taken care of, and to top it off, apparently the workers found a bees nest and all got stung. I felt really bad, but was assured it happens, and they were more concerned we didn't get stung. They arrived on time, and did what we agreed to and then some.
Description of Work: The job was to cut ancient laurels to the ground and to limb up a huge maple. All the wood was to be cut to size and the rest was chipped and taken away.

 + -1 moreI sent an email requesting an estimate on the weekend and received a prompt response the following Monday morning. After connecting via phone the estimate was performed two days later. We arranged a mutually convenient day for the actual work and all was completed within a week. The workers arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. They left the site neat and tidy.
Description of Work: BushmanTree Service removed a tree stump and two juniper bushes. They hauled away the bigger pieces of wood and the juniper branches.

 + -1 moreHe was prompt in answering my e-mail, he arrived on time both for the estimate and for the job itself. He arrived at 7:30 AM with a crew of three and some impressive machines and by 10:45 he was done. He did an outstanding job of what he had contracted to do PLUS he ground up a lot of extra branches and wood that I had from winter storms, etc. He did all of this with a smile and no extra charge. I would recommend him with no reservations.
Description of Work: Mike took out three trees: one tall pine, one stick with leaves and one bushy apple tree. He also ground 5 stumps.

They arrived right on time at 7:30 a.m. and left at 9:10 a.m. They were very careful about the existing plants, roof, neighbor's car, etc. They stacked the rounds for us (which I did not expect), and ground out part of a large root as well. Did a great job raking and cleaning up the site.
Description of Work: We had a mature but dying fruiting cherry tree removed. Tree was near power lines and shading roof. Trunk and large branches cut into rounds, small branches chipped down and hauled away, trunk ground down below grade.

 + -1 moreAfter getting three other bids we decided to go with Bushman as they were the most reasonable cost wise but also because Mark, the owner was so knowledgeable and thorough in how the work would be done. Very honest regarding what he would and wouldn't do (ie, he advised one of the stumps could only be 90% removed as it might damage a nearby dogwood). He and his crew of five arrived on time and spent the next six hours completing the work. They worked efficiently and neatly, cleaning up as they went along. When I asked them to add on taking down three tall but slender trees that were uprooted and hanging over our fence they did so without charge. They used a leaf blower to clean debris off the patio, walk way etc and even cleaned the deck of flower debris that had nothing to do with their work. They were exceptionally pleasant, very friendly to our big dog and did a wonderful job. At the end Mark asked if I was "happy" with the results and I was and am. I would recommend them in a minute

 + -1 moreI sent Bushman's an e-mail from Angie's list on the weekend. They replied right away and came out to the house the following Wednesday and bid the work in 5 minutes. Then the person came the next day to do the work. He had to get the machine up a 6 foot embankment of old concrete which was not an easy task. He made sure that nothing got ruined, putting down plywood on my concrete when he had to drive the machine over it and putting plywood between a stump and the house to make sure nothing ruined the house. Very professional and fast. I don't know if 300 is a good price or not, but by the time I rented a stump grinder machine ($175/day) and did the work myself, I felt it was well worth it.
Description of Work: The work entailed grinding 3 tree stumps, one larger and two smaller.

They have an excellent array of equipment to remove the vegetation, grind the stumps and clean up the site. The owner was on the job and worked with the crew throughout the work. They are not the cheapest contractor, but they do a great job and we are happy with this and other work [removal of 4 birch an 1 pine tree in 2005].
Description of Work: Removed old Photinai hedge of about 106 feet, plus junipers. Added and applied about 12 yards of top soil and trimmed some Roddies in the yard.

THEY USED A BOOM TRUCK TO MAKE THE BIRCH REMOVAL QUICK, EFFICIENT AND SAFE. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO OUR YARD. THE CREW WAS RESPONSIVE TO OUR REQUESTS FOR SMALL MODIFICATIONS TO THE TASK.
