Bosco Painting

There was a lot of prep work and caulking to be done. There was only one worker on the job, so it took longer than we anticipated, but he was very thorough and did good work. We did have one hitch with application, and Daniel deducted an appropriate amount because of this. Overall we are very satisfied with the job.

Inquired about getting an estimate and waited for more than a week, but they did not even have the courtesy to respond.

Daniel met me on time and provided a very reasonable quote which prompted me to add additional services. He was also able to meet my timeline for a quick turnaround during what I know is a busy time. The work was professional. I was pleased.

Daniel and his team did a great job. Daniel was very thorough during the quoting process and offered many helpful tips and suggestions that ended up making a huge difference. Pricing was fair and reasonable. His team was very detail oriented. Not only did Daniel make sure we were satisfied with the work along the way he took extra time to make sure his team delivered. We are very happy we chose to go with them.

I bought two, but ended up only using one. I got the other one refunded. It was so, so. I paid them more to get the extra days.

We are preparing to sell our house in February and most painters wouldn't even attempt to do exterior painting and staining in the winter however Daniel and his team were willing to help me knowing it would be challenging with the cold and rain. They did everything need to get the job done including tarping, bringing in heaters and working weekends to get the job done. The work was done very well and he made sure to come back to do touch up and clean up. Daniel is also a general contractor so he was able to do some unexpected repairs on the deck and french doors.

We decided to just do the front of the side since it's the most visible and better fit our budget. (We will finish the other three sides and deck in 2016.) It was also near the end of the summer season and harder to schedule with reliable sunny days. Our house was to be his last exterior job of 2015. Daniel was easy to talk to, and we could tell he was as detail oriented as we were. We called his references, and felt good about our decision. We've had experiences before with painters who did virtually zero prep work so we were very pleased to hear Daniel describe the process. We had several paint color combo ideas and took our time (with sample paints) to decide. Daniel told us of an upcoming 35% sale at Sherwin-Williams (his preferred paint supplier) so that's what we used. When we went to our local Redmond S-W shop they wouldn't let us pay for the paint without ordering it. It was the last day of the sale and we were still deciding on colors. I phoned Daniel and he had his S-W rep step in and let us pay for the paint. This allowed us to get the discount, yet give us more time to buy samples and make a decision. The Work. One person came to power wash the entire house. Due to weather the total job took nearly a month to finish but we were okay with that. Painting started with two people carefully caulking all gaps and holes. Daniel then came and started with spraying the base color. Details. We decided on four colors; house base, trim, accent trim, and door + bench. This was a dramatic change from a boring 2-color house and really accented the few architectural details. With new garage doors installed six months prior, the house looks fantastic. We can't wait to finish the job next year. A team of two came back the following week to do touch-ups. They were very accommodating to small changes we wanted, and fixing spots that were missed. The work site was kept clean, and the painters were respectful (no loud music, or litter left on site). Our only minor issue would be occasional long delays in communication. Because we were the last exterior house he took for 2015, his team was very busy with interior jobs. Nearly two weeks went by between initial start of work and final finish. An email or two wasn't answered, but I was able to reach Daniel via phone. We weren't in a rush to finish, but wanted to make sure we were still on his calendar to get it done before the rains really started.

It went well. They re-scheduled the paint date a few times, but the result was very nice for the price. Good communication with the company made it easier. They cleaned up everything when finished, which I appreciated.

I didn't go with it because of amount of extra money he asked on top of the deal I bought

Excellent workmanship! Work was done on time and on budget! Always cleaned up each day and was a very pleasant experience! Highly recommend and will use again for future projects!!!

All went well. They cleaned and sanded the wood where it was needed and repaired some of the wood around the little vent windows. They sealed any cracks and along the seams of the garage door and the wood/glass doors. They got it all down in one day, and it was a long day for them.

Bosco provided excellent service, from initial bid to completion. Daniel, the owner came to do the bid, and then kept tabs on the job while it was being done. The painters were conscientious and did an excellent job. We had a very good experience with this company.

Bosco painting had a coupon on Angie's List for house exterior painting. My house was bigger than the listed square footage so I had them come out and give me an estimate for what it would cost to paint my home. I have a 2000 sq. ft. two story, 3 car garage home that hadn't been painted in 10 years. The quote was for $3500 for labor and materials except for paint which he offered to let us purchase through his contractor account. We ended up needing 25 gallons of paint for a total cost of $1150.00 Sherwin Williams Resilience paint during their July 4th paint sale. We needed shrubs trimmed away from the home exterior and they referred me to the owner's brother, Jon who does landscaping. They trimmed several bushes, removed two evergreen trees, weeded and mulched front yard for $350. Daniel Bosancu (owner) was helpful in choosing colors for the exterior. His crew came several days in advance to power wash the house and do some prep work caulking, scraping etc. They also power washed the driveway and concrete walkways. They were scheduled to arrive on 6/22 and they arrived on schedule as promised. They were at our home everyday until the job was completed. The prep work was done very well and the actual work performed exceeded my expectations in quality as well as professionalism. During the process of painting the house, Daniel came to check on the progress and discovered that the paint store had delivered the wrong paint finish (flat instead of satin). He told me of the error and allowed me to choose to have it repainted or receive a discount. I felt that the weather in Washington needs more than flat exterior paint so I had them repaint the house with the correct finish. What impressed me the most was Daniel's admitting the error to me knowing that he would probably have to fix it. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to make it right, which they did immediately after receiving the correct paint later that day. Our deck was wrapped in plastic as well as any areas that would receive any overspray. After the work was completed by Daniel (job foreman) and Oscar, we performed a walk-around to inspect for quality, we didn't really find any areas of concern and the two items we did notice, they corrected immediately. Daniel and Oscar did an outstanding job and were extremely hard working, I rarely saw them take a break and it was 95 degrees all week. One thing I was impressed by was after I paid the final amount on Friday, Daniel Bosancu,(Owner) came back the following Monday to vacuum up any paint chips that remained on the lawn and exterior surfaces around the house, he even offered to hang a new porch light we had purchased free of charge. I received comments from my neighbors about what a great job the painters were doing and how nice the house looks. I really appreciated the extra care they took ensuring that cars were away from the paint area to protecting areas that could have impacted my neighbors. Daniel Bosancu is a genuinely nice guy, honest in his ethics and professional in his attitude and performance. I would and will absolutely call him again to do future work when needed. Thank you Bosco Painting! It's rare to find a contractor this good!

Bosco Painting did an outstanding job on every detail of the job. From scheduling (& being on time), to performing the work (and keeping us informed on how it was progressing), and final completion of the job and clean up. They are professional, respectful and friendly. We enjoyed having them in our home. We highly recommend them and will certainly use their services in the future.

Bosco Painting was well worth the money. Originally I saw them as an Angie's List coupon but I knew my house would fall into the "small print" area too much so I actually called the owner Daniel to come out and give me a bid. I have a six bedroom tri-level house with two decks and lots of trim work. The thing about my house was that I just bought it in 2013 and the previous owners had "spruced it up" just to get a quick sell. Their spruce up was seriously peeling off all over the outside of the house. They had painted the house a very pale green that quite frankly looked like a olive that had been sitting in a martini too long! It was awful. Large pieces of paint were just falling off the house. They had not only picked the cheapest paint but they had also done no prep work before doing the painting. Daniel and his crew (especially Mark) showed up and did 2.5 days of prep work. They pressure washed the house. They scrapped away what the pressure washer did not get. They sanding the "alligator" areas to try to get it to blend with the rest of the house. They caulked every nail hole and the put sealant on the exposed wood areas. For a complete week they were either spray painting, rolling or hand painting the house. Every area was taped and closed off as needed. It was a very hot week so they were very considerate of not totally sealing the house and cutting off the wind flow for us. They did it in stages. The two decks were nightmares. They have special railing so everything had to be hand painted. My small bedroom deck is a cattery so they were very considerate to get in and get it done so that I could get my cat litter boxes back outside of the house. Not only did I get my beautiful dark green house with high white gloss trim like I have always wanted but I also got a wonderful clean up job. Even down to sweeping up all the areas just to make sure there were no paint chips left. The overall performance of the team was amazing but what really impressed me was the final day (today) when I went to make the last payment to Daniel. Originally the bid to do my house was $3500 and I buy all the paint. Daniel said that he would use any paint that I wanted but he personally recommended that I use Emerald Paint by Sherwin Williams. He even explained the reason which made sense. I bought the paint directly from Sherwin Williams and all paint stayed at my house while they were working. Before the job started Daniel asked me to pay 50% down. That was understandable. It allows him to guarantee his people. When I went to pay Daniel I kept thinking that he had quoted me $3900 for the job. I was ready to write out a check for $1950. Daniel very nicely told me "No". One we had decided not to stain the fence so that part was deducted and that the job was for $3500 not $3900. We did not have a contract and I only had his original receipt for my deposit. He could have easily just taken my check. But instead he was honest and my final check to him was for $1650.00. Eventually I may have remembered the right numbers but instead Daniel was honest and for that he will get alot more work from me.

Our overall project was to have painted our old but still good oak cabinets and trim, in a powder room and a full bath with two cabinets. We had been told by other painters that this would not work. Well, these guys know how to do this, beautifully! The set up a spraying room in our garage with barriers to keep the paint way from other things there. They took off all of the doors/drawers to the cabinets and doors to the baths. Each piece was sanded, primed and sprayed with the new light gray color and then sealed. The insides of the cabinets were sprayed in the rooms after careful plastic barricades were structured for protection of the rest of the house. There is a large linen closet in the larger bathroom that they also painted. Our newly painted bathrooms and cabinets are beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better service! Daniel, the foreman came out and initially assessed the project, answered our questions, gave us great ideas and was very helpful and patient with us as we sorted through all of our options. We appreciated this overview and were able to plan well and know what to expect. Daniel came by each day to check on the project and helped the other two at times. He came at the end of the project, made a few corrections to some drawer interiors and to do a bit of touch up. My husband and I highly recommend this team. We plan to hire them again for other projects we have. Mark was the primary person we worked with and he was here everyday. He was very detailed and methodical, cleaned up well each day and carefully protected our carpet and surfaces that were not part of the project. He worked overtime to help us get finished before our out of town guests arrived. He provided excellent workmanship throughout and was very easy to work with and have in our home. Chris was also here most days. He also taped, painted and and helped with the spraying. Chris had the additional skill of electric work and was able to install our new light fixture, which was a huge help. Very good work. Notes: These guys practically lived with us for 5 days and this could have been difficult?but it was NOT. They were all friendly, considerate, and good people to have around. The approximate cost does not reflect the Angie's List Deal we initially bought for $1449.00 for 40 hours of painting. We kept adding to what we wanted them to do and were happy to pay the additional $ for the extra time and excellent service they provided.

Daniel was great - offered suggestions, stayed true to his estimate and didn't flinch when I changed my mind several times about what my project list would include. I appreciated his flexibility!

Everything went quite well. The owner and one employee worked very hard for a week. The wall repair was excellent and there was a lot of it. No repairs are showing through. The baseboard painting and repair was extensive. The only complaint is that there was resistance to providing extra good covering of the hardwood floors that were refinished. Not sure why, but other painters we've hired have also resisted thorough covering of the floors. However, there was very minor cleanup of spilled paint.

The two-man team showed up on the scheduled day, however they didn't have any ladders. Once the ladders arrived, the crew was underway. The directions were for the crew to start on the highest, hardest areas first however they did the opposite and they didn't get the work done in the allotted time. When the owner came by to check on the work, he took stock and let us know the job wasn't up to his expectations and that he would come back on the weekend to finish the work and make sure it was done correctly. He kept his word and the job looks great! We would hire Bosco for exterior painting again because we understand what it means to hire workers - they may not have the same attention to detail as one would expect. The fact that the job ended up done to our liking and for a price that we felt was fair was all that mattered.

In preparation to sell our house, we contacted Bosco painting to repaint several bedrooms and to do touch up painting. Upon Daniel's arrival, we discovered that his company also did construction, landscape and hardwood floor refinishing. Because of his professionalism and positive reviews, we decided to have him bid on all of our needs, not just the painting. His bid was itemized and his prices were very similar to the other companies we'd contacted. The idea of working with one company rather that three or four for all our needs appealed to us so we hired Daniel and Bosco Painting for all of our needs. Boy were we happy we did. The results were fantastic. Starting with the hardwood floor, they made our scratched up floor look absolutely brand new. They bagged off the rest of the house and were extremely clean. We've heard stories of dust being everywhere with other providers, but not with Bosco. Other than a brand new looking hardwood floor, it was as if they'd never been there. Next was the landscaping and outdoor work. They also did a great job with this. Our new lawn is still growing in, but it looks great and the rest of the yard looks really good too. They were planning to replace some boards on our deck but discovered rotting wood underneath. Daniel let us know, showed us what was wrong and provided us with several options. We decided to have them repair the deck and they did a great job, while keeping the additional costs to a minimum. It ended up costing $300 less than his estimate. When does that ever happen anymore!!!! Finally, they painted inside our house. The work is great, but more importantly, they took the time to do a bunch of extra touch up on several walls and didn't charge us a dime. Today, I walked out and discovered that they had a little extra paint and repainted our door next to a door jamb they'd fixed.....just because they wanted it to look as good as the jamb they'd fixed and painted. Wow. I can't say enough good things about Daniel and Bosco Painting. He was professional, polite, hit every milestone to which we agreed and left no trace that he'd been here, other than his fantastic work. Based on past experience with other landscapers and painters, we didn't have high hopes for our project. As it turned out, we needn't have worried. Bosco Painting exceeded our expectations in every way and did a really, really good job for a fair price.

Bosco was overwhelmed with responses to their Big Deal, I got an email advising it would be months before service could be completed. That was actually fine by me as I knew I needed to paint, but had not bought paint or selected colors. . About 6-8 months later I got an email advising that the promotion was ending and I needed to schedule service. I scheduled service and the painter showed up about 15 minutes early and sat in his car. When the time came, he approached the house and asked when he could do. I advised what I wanted and he said that would be close to 12 hours, so he gave me some options. I did the upstairs hall way and living room and had to skip the entryway. He started off by taping masking and prep, and honestly moved a little slow. I also thought that I could have painted more in 8 hours and I'm far from professional. In the end the work looked okay. I say okay because the tape lines weren't crisp and a lot of paint bleed when you got up close, but for the promotional price, I was satisfied and the painter was nice. I liked this guy so much, I brought him back to do my entry, at least I tried. there were so many no shows and after about 3 no shows, i called the owner and let him know how salty I was. He gave me about 3 reason why mistakes were made and said his whole crew was en-route. I advised my entry is only so big, so rather than send 4-6 guys. Send the original painter and come yourself. He did come and was very apologetic. He agree to 4 hours of work for 3 hours charge. The painter advised with this paint being thicker it would take longer to dry, so two coats would be hard. He said he was paint this thicker than usual and how that it soaks in. Originally it looked good, now it looks spotty and really bad under bright light. They did have theo disclaimer, but I think if if put down a lighter coat, he could have followed that up with a heavier coat before he left. I need to have someone repaint the area. Good honest guys, but they lack orginization, communication or sense of urgency in responding to requests.

He was prompt, quiet, quick, and careful. AND...wouldn't accept a tip. I almost felt like I was taking advantage of this company it was such a good deal. I would definitely call them again.

I called them a couple of times to schedule work, they took a long time to respond. Finally responded, but I had already decided to get a refund.

Went very well. Showed up on time and did a very nice job. Older home that had not been painted for several years. They did a good job of going back over patched areas to make sure that everything looked the same. Would use again.
