Description of Work: We had a tall double tree taken down that was very close to our house. The team was obviously well trained and experienced. They were fast and efficient, but worked safely. They took care to not damage nearby belongings and plants and cleaned up everything except the rounds, which we are giving to our neighbors.

The gentleman came within the agreed time window, was friendly and personable, and provided good information concerning the job. We decided against having the work done so we did not engage them for their services.

 + -1 moreI called Blue Ribbon, and received a call from Andy, the owner. He was very friendly. I explained that the trees had not been pruned in a long while and needed some serious help. He provided a verbal and written estimate (plus a discount for being an Angie's List member! :-)). I accepted his offer (which included repairs to some previous tree trimming which was not done by a certified arborist!). The three trees look great now! It is amazing how much better they look. I am very happy with the results!

 + -1 moreThe job was coordinated by Andy Anderson, who was very punctual and professional. The crew arrived on time on the scheduled day and got to work. The hedge-trimming job was outstanding, and the much larger maple pruning work was very good. One safety related issue (branches too small to support someone from cutting them all back) came up that prevented some of the planned work, so be sure to ask about any such possibilities in advance. I plan to use Blue Ribbon again when similar work comes up.
Description of Work: I hired Blue Ribbon to trim a hedge, trim a cedar tree, and to prune a large overgrown old maple.

The work was done professionally, they also did a great job of not damaging surrounding plants. They cleaned up well afterward. Great job!

 + -1 moreAn arborist came out promptly to look at the trees and give recommendations and an estimate. She was very knowledgeable, and gave us different options. She then submitted a very detailed estimate by email a day or two later. We scheduled the work to be done about 6 weeks later, allowing for the trees to go dormant, pursuant to her advice. When the crew came, they were very professional, and worked quickly and efficiently. The job was done beautifully. Clean up was great too. The trees look much better, and we feel safer having had the fir trimmed a bit so it won't catch the wind so much. We will definitely call them again when we need service.

Responsive via email, confirmed date and time of arrival and showed up at 8:00 am as promised! They had to access my yard through my neighbors driveway and made sure to clean up and put everything back in order. Really friendly, responsible crew and Andy was a joy to work with. I'll definitely work with them again and am very pleased with how great my yard looks!

Description of Work: This company has top level customer service. They have helped me with my trees various times & always are the best. This particular time, we asked if they would give some advice on a curly willow tree that we were concerned with. It did not look good, and as we were having water issues with a water runoff/sewer deal, we were concerned the roots of the tree could be the problem. The tree is also in a cramped spot. They came out and looked over the situation and called me with their observations and suggestions. They told us how we could take care of it ourselves and thus not incur any costs. We were so appreciative of the fact that they were not only willing to come and look, but they would offer suggestions with no charge. This company is honest and reliable. They are not just in it for themselves. They take pride in what they do. That old-fashioned reliability, honesty & assistance that we used to see so much of this company definitely still has it. Thank you to each of you.

 + -1 moreWe were pleased with the way the job was handled and the clean up. We primarily dealt with Andy Anderson, one of the owners, who is a certified arborist. He was personable, professional and came across as very knowledgeable and experienced. He took the time to answer any questions and checked on the job.
Description of Work: Cleaned up a major fallen branch of a large Sycamore and parts of a second large tree, fixed broken off areas of both trees, crown clean out/weight lightened, pruned and shaped a Magnolia and removed an old tree stump. Services included debris clean up and disposal.

 + -1 moreAfter arguing with our neighbor for over a year (who is a total dirtbag) over four trees that were endangering our home (one of them had fallen on our house the year before causing $17,000 worth of damage), the neighbor finally gave us permission to cut the trees down at our expense. Yeah, we weren't too happy about it, but we were tired of living in fear. Blue Ribbon did a great job and a fair price, they showed up when they promised they would and cut down the trees. They left the dead trees in our neighbor's yard because we didn't want to pay the extra money to have them hauled away.
Description of Work: They cut down four gigantic Western Hemlocks from my neighbor's yard that were threatening the well-being of our home.

 + -1 moreVery good. A crew of 4 made quick work of the job. They pruned and installed 3 support cables, which should give us many extra years of life for our tree. The finished in less than 3 hours, and did a thorough cleanup of the area when done. Andy was very responsive, came out to do the estimate, and made sure the crew knew what was to be done.

 + -1 moreAndy came out and walked through my yard with me and told me what he thought I should do - even talked me out of doing some things that I thought needed done (less money for him). Tandy's team performed the work while I was at work and I came home and it was like they were never there. They took down a 75 foot tree and ground the stump down and also stacked all of the wood in a convenient place. Andy is a pleasure to work with - no salesmanship and provided a lot of good education on the trees around my home.
Description of Work: Cut down 1 tree, limbed 5 trees and thinned 7 100 foot trees.

His crew came the next day and did an excellent job. His crew worked hard to trim the trees the right way, so that they would stay healthy and look good. His price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: Trimmed a cherry and two apple trees that had been very neglected. Trimmed a pine that was crowding out the cherry. Trimmed and shaped up two Bloodgood red Japanese maples. Cut down an alder. Hauled all the debris away.

We had to delay about a month, but Shawna didn't forget and followed up with a phone call, even though ours was a small job. The two-man crew came out and did a good job of removing the tree and grinding down the stump quickly and efficiently, without causing any disruption to us or our neighbors.

 + -1 moreAndy came out promptly, gave me a good estimate, pointed out an additional tree that required removal, gave me advice on obtaining a permit and then waited for me to call him back. Once I obtained the permit, we scheduled a time for him and his crew to come out. They did exactly what they said they would do and MORE. They arrived on time. They cut down some dead wood, stacked the wood from the two trees and piled up the saw dust from the wood they did not stack. The stumps look terrific. Their work exceeded our expectations at a very fair price. Finally, they gave us a good referral for landscaping service as that is something they no longer do.
Description of Work: Andy and team removed two trees from my property. He was outstanding and I'll be using him again this winter to unearth and replant three more young trees.

 + -1 moreI think this guy is very professional when he came to give me the bid. He just drew a picture of my property and said, this is what you need to get removed. Everything was excellent, and I would highly recommend him to everyone. He is a certified arborist.
Description of Work: They removed 12 trees all together. Some were holly trees, 3 high maple trees, aspen trees and blue spruce. They did some pruning and removed branches that were rubbing on the roof.
