He has done our property at least three times in the last ten years. He is extremely professional. He is in Renton, but covers at least a hundred mile area. He cleans up his mess and is very safe. What he does is he takes out some very dangerous trees. He does this even in tight spots near buildings.

They were the only tree service I called that would set a specific time to come by for an estimate. The others said we will do a drive by. The estimator didn't seem experienced making estimates and called the tree cutter (her husband) to verify prices etc.. They did not know whether we needed a permit to cut the tree down. After calling our city and getting the runaround we did not need a permit. Now we had to change the schedule. The did not return calls promptly and were left hanging in the air as to whether they were going to show up or not. They took 48 hours + to return calls. I think 24 hour is more appropriate. The tree cutters arrived on time and were professional even moved patio furniture. The tree cutting crew decided that the fence didn't need to be removed. There was also a miscommunication about the wood chips. They did not dump all the chips out from 2 previous jobs, so if we wanted to keep the chips, we would get those too. We originally were going to dump them into a greenbelt but decided against it. Apparently they were thinking they could dump their wood chips for free. The contract said to cut the logs into 16" pieced, they were more like 20", which is against city code. They did not reduce the price for not fixing the fence, but did not charge us $40 for removing the chips. The other estimates charged $200 for removing the fence. I think that they should have reduced the price for not removing the fence. They were still the lowest bid. And they did do the job. Due to the slow responsiveness and miscommunication hassles they got a B and not an A. C for professionalism because dumping debris from other jobs on our job is not cool. B for Quality because the logs were not cut small enough.

Terry gave me a bid on Friday. On Monday he came and cut down the trees. He and another worker cut the trees into 16" lengths for firewood. They stacked it and chipped all of the branches which I'm keeping for use as beauty bark. Additionally they raked up all of the debris too small to chip and finally they used a blower to really clean up the sawdust mess. They did a great job, were punctual, great prices, etc. This is the second time I've used them and I plan on using them again.

The job went very well. They seem to be very competent, worked together as a team and they were friendly. They did a good job with clean up and they were safety conscious. It was a very tricky technical job.

Terry and his crew did a great job of removing trees and bushes that were overgrown and diseased. Their prices are very reasonable. All the men were courteous and friendly. I also sent them over to my mother-in-law in W. Seattle. There they took down a huge tree with great skill. She was very happy with their work as well. I will call them again and will continue to recommend ARBORTECH Tree Service.
