Over the phone, I was quoted a price for evaluation- $125 for evalulation. Actual price was more because an additional "fuel/material" fee was added without phone disclosure-unprofessional for sure! Actual evaluation was ok-technician seemed knowledgeable and was pleasant. After he left, I found a small mound of debris in the gutter that appeared to be the contents of his shop vac. I will be looking for alternative service in the future.

Service tech arrived on time and spent almost 2 hours troubleshooting the cause of the failure of my dishwasher. He took it as a challenge to determine the cause of the trouble. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was such that a new dishwasher was in order as the main control board had failed ($500 part). Service tech was far in excess of a "parts changer" and went above and beyond for a straight up service call. Would recommend this company.

They had to put new hinges on the oven door and now it works properly. They always show up on time. They are always extremely neat, clean up after themselves and they work efficiently. They usually have the parts for your appliances. They are always friendly and competent. I have been using them for about 10 years.

We made an appointment four days out for a technician to come and fix our Viking gas stove which would not turn on. Technician called to let us know when he would be coming during that day. He removed his shoes when he came into the house and put down a big work cloth to keep the floor area clean. The technician diagnosed the problem--broken ignitors--and then replaced the parts. Now our oven works great. Good, efficient service. Price seems a little high but then that may be a given with Viking. Parts--$206; labor $205--there was a charge of $125 just to come to the house-- plus tax. Definitely will use again.

This was a pretty bad experience, which is surprising based on the number of good reviews. The technician, Tony, arrived within the allotted 2 hour window, so no problem with punctuality. That's about the only nice thing I can come up with. I explained the problem to Tony: our clothes are not drying. When I put in even a small load of clothing, the dryer stops after a while and the clothes are still damp. It's the same situation on both auto dry and timed dry, and doesn't matter what setting we use. It's not just me: I forgot to tell our nanny that the dryer wasn't working, and she texted me at work to tell me it was broken. Tony ran the dryer for a second and went outside to check the dryer vent (which I told him we had just had professionally cleaned last week). He then said that the dryer was working properly, and that there was no mechanical problem. When I told him that this was not possible (even the 15 year old dryer we replaced worked much better than this new one) he said that the auto sensing function on the dryer "only dries a load of clothes as dry as the driest piece of clothing". I told him that clearly makes no sense. He asked if all the clothes I'm drying are the same thickness. I told him of course not. He said it's to be expected that our socks or thicker clothing will still be damp at the end of an auto dry cycle. This was such a ridiculous explanation that I didn't bother re-explaining that the timed dry cycles don't work either. When my husband and I both tried to tell him that what he was saying simply didn't make any sense-- we're pretty familiar with how a dryer is supposed to function-- Tony took offense and said that we was leaving if we wouldn't listen to his explanation. So he left. I expect that Albert Lee will be more reasonable when we let them know the problem we're having, but it was really irritating to go through the inconvenience of waiting for a service guy, and then have such a useless encounter with a technician who was frankly quite unpleasant.

The bottom line for us in this particular case was that both Mr and Mrs were very aggressive both in their demeanor and their language, most of which I can not repeat here. Tony was not telling them what they wanted to hear and they insulted and verbally assaulted him. He elected to depart the premises ending any further attempts to communicate on his part. We support that decision. Our employees are not required to endure this kind of aggressive behavior. Even if requested, which is not likely, we will not be doing an future service for this customer. We regret that they have elected to give us a black mark here however we trust that our other ratings will speak for themselves.

I called and it the soonest appointment was a week out, but with stellar reviews I decided it would be worth the wait. The scheduler asked for my make and model number, which I didn't have at work. I emailed a picture of the sticker inside the machine the next day. A great request and move because the repairman had all of the parts he needed. The repairman arrived on the earlier half of the 2-hour window. He was courteous, professional, and quick. He explained everything to me and even gave me some great tips for maintaining the unit. I will definitely hire Appliance Service Station for my next repair job.

Appointment process was fast and easy. They offered emergency service if needed but it was not necessary. Service tech was right on time within his two hour window. We had an issue with phone contact when he arrived but it was dealt with without incident. The tech seemed to know exactly what to do and what to look for. They had the opportunity to preform up to a $4000.00 service !!!! But recommended against it. We love our fridge but were happy to know that they were not in the biz to take advantage of us.
Description of Work: This was a service call on our 25 year old Sub Zero Refrigerator. We had suspected the results but they did not try to sell us an unnecessary service. My only complaint was they did charge a Fuel surcharge that was NOT mentioned when the agent called to explain $ 124 + cost to look at the unit. I would use them again for major appliances that are expensive to replace.

This company is not stellar with communication. We were not told up front of the hefty minimum service charge - found out about that after the fact when technician came out and determined the issue with our stove-top burners not igniting had to do with the fact that they were rotated the incorrect way. A very minor fix which took less that 10 seconds to correct. The leak in the dishwasher turned out to be a small leak under our sink - not related to dishwasher...the technician used something to stop the minor leak and then instructed us to call a plumber to get that fixed. Their Customer Service representatives were rather rude and abrupt when I attempted challenge the invoice. I called three different vendors to get a price range for minimum service charge and they were all at least $30.00 lower up front. Two of them also confirmed that when the technician completes his/her appointment they either call the client to verify and explain the issue and what why done, or they leave their contact info and encourage client to call with any questions.I would not recommend this vendor and will be using Superior Appliance Service Inc. - they are awesome....exceptionally professional, personable and reasonable price-wise.

We are disappointed with this client's report. Since it was filed here almost 5 months after the service date it is difficult for our employees to recall conversations that far back. A review of our records indicates a note, "Advised $119.95 minimum." That is our common practice and would seem to have been done it his case. Unusual to make a special note about it so there must have been conversation. Our records also indicate that the original service request came through a local appliance dealer, not from the customer. I personally know each person involved in this transaction and all of them are professional and patient and never "rude". We do everything we can to accommodate each customer's individual schedule. I see an "Must be before 5 pm" notation on the paperwork as well. Perhaps we were not able to accommodate the customer's scheduling requirements. I believe that our other reviews and ratings here speak for themselves. I am sorry we have lost her business and glad she has found another company that can.

Our dishwasher is working again, and though the issue with our refrigerator wasn't completely addressed, they didn't charge us for the work that was done. We have an eight year old Dacor double oven and an eight burner Wolfe cooktop that were giving us fits. We had Appliance Service Station out a few months before to help us with a different problem on our Dacor. At the time they recommended replacing a part that they felt we would have trouble with. We chose not to do it at the time and guess what? The part did go bad. We called Appliance Service Station up and they had us in the system and honored the price from a few months earlier without the extra trip charge. They were out in a week. We also asked that they tune up our cook top. We were told it would be an additional $40. They did work perfectly and it is like we bought a new unit. These guys rock. They are professional, on time and explained everything that they did. They also gave us hints as to what we need to keep things working. From our experiences, you are in good hands with these guys.
Description of Work: Replaced mother board on a Dacor double stack oven where the pure convection mode had quit working. Tuned up an 8 burner Wolfe cook top where 4 of the burners were not heating evenly and two burners were not functioning well enough to use.

They are great, they are fabulous people. I always call them anytime I have an appliance that needs checking. They are wonderful. I had a whiner refrigerator that just stopped working one day and I was going to replace it. The guy came out to look at it and he said a part had failed inside it. My house is only six years old so only the piece was covered but not the labor. He had to actually take the whole thing out to my garage and it cost me a small fortune to get it fixed. I did check online and it was rated about $3000 to replace the tiny refrigerator. I decided I'm not paying so much. It cost me $700 to get it fixed of which $500 was labor. I guess I did have to pay for the part because it was out of warranty. He was from about 10:30 in the morning till probably almost 3 o'clock. He gave me a quote ahead of time so it didn't matter if it took him four hours to fix or six hours, he was going to stay here until he had things rebuilt. It was expensive and that would scare someone off if I would put that on the report. I asked him about my gas oven. He asked me what was wrong with it and I said when I turn on the gas oven I really smell gas in here for several seconds. He said as by law it has to light within twenty five seconds and he said we like it to light within twenty seconds. He put it on and I said I can smell the gas but he said it was okay. He said to me that I must boil a lot and said that I do boil a lot. He said that the boiler is just about shut. The good thing was that I only had to pay for one service call and he replaced that part. That cost me a couple of hundred dollars. When he came to fix the refrigerator I didn't get charged for another service call. I was able to take advantage of two appliances with one service call. I've used them a lot.

bought a viking range and the oven was too hot. The first time they came out and replaced the thermostat. That didn't fix the problem so they came back to replace the sensor. They did what they were instructed by Viking and since it was under warranty I never saw a bill. The problem seems to be fixed now and they were very easy to work with.
