I have used Steve on and off for over 10 years. He is very professional, efficient, effective and his prices are very reasonable. He did a plumbing inspection for our condo of 68 units and he did it within our time limits and people were very happy with professionalism. I refer others to him frequently.

He's wonderful. He's very responsible, he does a good job, he doesn't gauge you, and he's very knowledgeable.

Steve the Plumber is also known as Redmond Plumbing. It changes back and forth. Steve is a neighbor and has done several plumbing jobs for me. Steve is a very personable young man and easy to like. However, he is not what he appears. He consistently engages in criminal activity and is vengeful. Steve told me he could add a water pipe from my house to my new greenhouse, approximately 40 feet for only $500. I told him I needed it done before he went on a three week vacation to Spain at the end of June and he said he would do it before he left. He did not. His apprentice helper did most of the work without Steve here. Lee was very good and very fast however; he and Steve only worked 20 to 40 minutes at a time after their work day until the end when Steve worked approximately one hour two different days. I had the sink and the faucet and I rented the ditch witch and we dug the trench. I asked Steve to come over before we dug the trench to make sure of the location and told him I needed him to put the pipes in immediately. He said he would but he did not. He did not do the work for 10 days, in mid June, which caused me big problems. When Steve returned from Spain in late July, he did not hook up the water. He did not complete the job until late August, over two months late. The water faucets were reversed, cold was hot and hot was cold and the spigot outside for watering the garden was hot!! He did not want to fix it right away. Steve told me that he hated doing invoices and usually got them done late. In late October, four months after this job was supposed to be done, Steve finally gave me an invoice which was almost five times the agreed upon contracted amount of $500. Steve wanted $2317. He had things on the invoice that he had not done, he had question marks on the invoice, and he had Lee working nine hours and himself working 11 hours which was not true. Together they did not work nine hours because we did most of the work. I told Steve that the invoice was not accurate and that he was not there that amount of time. Steve billed Lee at the $90 per hour as he did himself although Steve told me that he did not know if Lee was a plumber yet or not. He has an obligation to know his employee’s education and status. Steve refused to listen to anything I said, so I wrote Steve a letter and told him he and Lee had not worked the hours he indicated, that he completely breached the contract that he did not perform the contract before June 24th and did not charge me the amount he quoted of $500. I paid him double the agreed upon amount, $1000.00 hoping that would resolve the situation. Then he sued me because he said he wanted more money probably to help pay for the swimming pool, hot tub and gazebo he put in his back yard. He lied in the mediation and told a different story in court. He perjured himself. He lost. Steve lies about everything. Numerous people have sued him and he has sued numerous people. After all this, he damaged my property by trespassing on it and GLUED an elbow pipe onto my drainage pipe causing water to flood my property. After that he added a pipe from his gutter concealed it underground emptying at the corner of my house. He concealed/buried the four inch pipe under a bunch of junk hiding it from view. This pipe caused thousands of gallons coming off his roof to flood my yard and under my house. He also added five spy cameras on the short side of his house aimed into my yard. The city made him change them and fix his drain pipe which he once again has changed back to flood my property. He has done all this and more just because I refused to pay him five times the amount he said it would cost for, his words, and quot;a simple plumbing joband quot;. I did not add anything to the job and we did the prep work. Other neighbors used Steve the Plumber/Redmond Plumbing for jobs and I do not know anyone who would use him again because he did not do a good job, did not do it timely, left a mess and overcharged them. Steve told me he is a and quot;self taughtand quot; plumber however he is incompetent. Almost all of the work Steve did failed or broke within a few years and I had to hire a competent plumber to fix his messes. One plumber actually said and quot;this is garbageand quot; and needs to be redone.

Called Steve. He promptly called back...arranged for him to come and give a bid. Bid was rerasonably priced...lower than some of the other high priced more well-known plumbers, but not the bottom of the barrel, either. He came out and did the initial work on the kitchen faucet and hose bibs...but had to learn more about the hydrants. He went away and found parts and a schematic and instructions on how to re-build. While this did take some time, he came back shortly, fixed the hydrants and then took the extra step of determining whether there was a leak in the outside plumbing system. He even came back when I could be at the house on a saturday, and we both walked through the steps of determining that there was a slow leak. Overall, he was professional, courteous, technically knew what he was doing, and was good to work with. I'd have him back in the future for any plumbing needs.

Steve was very punctual and professional. He covered his shoes, made the repairs efficiently, and came back to finish a job we had not scheduled him for so as not to be late for his next job. He did not charge us extra for the return visit. We highly recommend him, and he is by far the best plumber we have ever used.

I called Steve the Plumber because I wasn't getting any hot water and my dishwasher wasn't getting any water at all. I didn't know if the two problems were related, but I was anxious to get someone out to look at it as soon as possible. I called Steve and although he already had a booked day, he gave me a time frame in the late afternoon that he kept. He fixed both my issues quickly, gave me a clear understanding what the issue was, and charged me a minimum amount for his time and services. He was very friendly, helpful and informative! I am very grateful he was available!

Overall not too many complaints, but was very late starting the job. I phoned asking about lateness and was told he would be 15 minutes, but was closer to 45. When performing the actual job he had an assistant who was very old and unprofessional (grumpy and didn't want to be there). While working on the job the assistant was in our crawlspace and it appears he actually fell asleep under there, and returned agitated (oh my we disturbed his nap?). More recently we had another plumber who inspected the work and commented that it was "ok" but much better solution could have been done.

Again, from my daughter: "The $800 price tag that is listed was for an unexpected emergency replacement of our hot water heater. We walked into the utility room one day and the floor was covered in water....Ut-Oh!!!!! We called Steve right away, explained what was going on and he agreed to come over that afternoon. YAY!!! He did a quick assessment of what was happening, gave us the news that we needed a new hot water tank (kind of a 'duh' on that one, but he did confirm that it was not anything fixable...) and that he would go and get one and install it that day. Thank heavens for that, since it was still somewhat chilly out and I truly was not relishing the thought of cold showers.... He came back over after getting us a new, high-quality tank, installed it fairly quickly and even brought everything up to code at no extra charge for us (we live in an older house...). Again, he's always super friendly and DEFINATELY knows his stuff and I honestly will NEVER go to another plumber."

Steve was responsive and friendly. I kind of wished he was just a neighbor that we could have drinks with from time to time. he took the toilet box with him and returned the watersense EPA tag to me when I called a few days later (I needed that to include with purchase receipt to get rebate). I will definitely call him the next time we need plumbing help

He did a wonderful job. He did the job for a lot less than a competitor.

I had several bids from several companies. He gave me the lowest estimate. He did the absolute amazing job. He gave me on/off valves. He gave me access to drains. He put in a vent to the washing machine pipe. He arrives on time and now I use him for every job that I have. He put frost-free bibs on the exterior water accesses to eliminate cracking. He was thoughtful and provided access to difficult areas to service. He gave me good advice to be environmentally friendly and to keep my plumbing working.

Terrible, we held of for WEEKS waiting for him to 'find' the time to come to our house. He has a good reputation, but needs to be more honest and try a little more to get to people he says he will get to.

Nice guy. He showed up despite inclement weather and fixed the problem handily. He showed me how to prevent future problems and then made a few suggestions in case I replace the toilet in the future.

He was on time, very conscientious, telling me exactly what he was doing at all times. He even told me how to fix the running toilets myself the next time. And he brought my dog a chewie when he came back to do the big job which turned out to be minor. What else could one want from a plumber?

STEVE WAS VERY LATE, WROTE DOWN WRONG ADDRESS BUT GAVE ME A DISCOUNT. VERY THOROUGH AND DOUBLE CHECKED HIS WORK. RECOMMENDED BY ''A BETTER BATH and KITCHEN.'' HE GOT HUNG UP WITH UNEXPECTED EXTRA WORK AT A PREVIOUS LOCATION BEFORE COMING TO MY PLACE. I AM GOING TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER TRY ON A DIFFERENT PROJECT. NEEDS AT LEAST A WEEK IN ADVANCE NOTICE.
