I called and had to go through a process they have recordings now and that drives me crazy. I finally went out there because I couldn't get the information I needed on the phone. When I went in I said I'm going to have to get a new washer because mine died but I don't want an expensive one because I'm going to be selling my home and soon and it'll stay in my house probably. He said they had one for $350 on sale and he had bought one himself. I bought it because it sounded like a good price. So I ordered it but they didn't bring my instruction book. When I got the instruction booklet I sat down to read it. The more I read the more determined I was not to keep it. So I had to go back over and tell them to come pick it up. I even found on the statement they charged me extra without asking me. They charged $175 for what they called a protection plan. I was going to turn it down if it came up but he never even asked me, it just showed up on the credit card. I told them I was charged for a protection plan that I didn't want and no one asked me about that. I wasn't even planning to buy that I want it credited back to my card immediately. It took a little while to get back my credit.

We ordered a stove through Sears and we have had to get 6 different stoves from them replaced before installation because all of the stoves they would deliver would be either scratched or loose or product was not put together well. The installers wouldn't listen and they were not knowledgeable and had no clue of what they were doing. All of a sudden there was an explosion. They hadn't turned the gas off while installing. I had to hire someone myself to get the stove installed. I also had to call the electrician and the gas company to make sure that nothing happened due to the explosion. They were also very late with the appointments. Corporate did not care about their mess up. They would only offer a $75 certificate. Also with another instance they delivered a surprise wedding present for my daughter when we told them not to deliver it till a certain time and date. They ruined the surprise and they didn't care. They don't have work ethic and don't have respect. I used to use Sears all the time, but not anymore. I won't use them again.

I paid for the warranty when I bought the refrigerator. The warranty came as a part of the purchase. They were wonderful.
Description of Work: I used Sears Stores – Redmond for purchasing a new refrigerator. I have a warranty on it and they have to come and check it before the year is up. They will do the inspection for the next two years to make sure it’s running right and no problems are appearing with it. So they will do the preventive care for me.
