Ric's Garage Door & Opener Service

Our 20 year old wood garage doors (which we should have replaced when house was painted) were scraping off the new paint when the doors where closing. Ric's garage door service were top rate. They accomondated my schedule and came out the next business day. Chris did the work and he was very knowledgable and professional. Chris totally gave each door a tune up. The door with the issue had the wrong spring installed last year by my husband. it was too tight and wasn't allowing the door to close properly. He replaced the spring and spent quite a long time adjusting the all the various joints so the door lined up properly. I would recommend this company to friends.

They did excellent work! Brian was terrific and very helpful when I called him and was very knowledgeable about what I needed and gave me a great price. They did not try to up-sell me and even told me the I did not need some of the thing's I thought I needed to replace which saved me money. They came out quickly and were very professional and kind. I will definitely use Ric's again in the future!

I've used Ric's Garage Doc to repair broken garage doors twice now on two houses. Their service is fast, courteous, efficient, and affordable.

He did a pretty good job all the way around, except the one thing, he is a little eccentric. My garage door openers, they usually put the left one with the left opener, and there was he pressed yet 2 garage doors and one to the left goes with the left garage door and the button to the right goes with the right, he always put them opposite. I don't know why. He basically positions the garage door button opposite to the order of the garage doors. The quality is good. He did fine. My daughter had garage door switch by him and he did the same thing with the switches.

It was good. I liked everything. I had no problems with it. He was very nice. He showed up on time, did his work, was very helpful. I haven't looked at other places so I don't know what the price is anywhere else.

The service was fast and efficient. He showed up within 5 or 10 minutes of the expected time and got right to work! I like Ric's because they fix the problem with a smile and never try to sell us something we don't need. It's easy scheduling them and their prices have always been very reasonable for their time.

The receptionist with whom I scheduled was polite and friendly and gave me several scheduling options. She also gave me a brief estimate of the parts pricing and labor costs associated with the company. The morning of the visit I got a call giving me a window within which the technician would visit. Chris was prompt and arrived at the early part of the window. He examined the doors, assessed the repairs needed, replaced the eys on both doors and configured a universal remote for me. We also discussed the condition of the doors and future repairs that might be needed vs the option to replace the doors in whole. Chris showed me how to maintain the doors until such point as I would need to replace them and then gave me a general estimate of what the cost would be per door. He completed all this work in the first hour of his visit, so I didn't incur any additional labor costs. The visit was a pleasant one and I will be using Ric's again when I decide to replace my garage doors.

They showed up on time and were fixed the issue I was having where the garage door was opening up on by itself and not closing when the switch was pressed.

Arrived within scheduled repair window. Was very quick, but thorough, in not just replacing both of the garage door's torsion springs, but also provided quick adjustment to the garage door openers motor speed and chain tension (very slight adjustments were needed). In addition, the service tech suggested switching out the garage door's rollers with a newer version, featuring ball-bearing centers (similar to a roller blades wheel). Although a little pricey (it worked out to be a little over $10 per roller pin installed), I went with the tech's advise and had him replace all (10 rollers). The door now opens/closes much quieter and will hopefully prolong the life of auto-door opener's motor and the newly installed torsion springs. Overall, the service tech took approx 35 mins to complete all work described above. I should note our garage didn't have any cars in it at the time, so it was very easy for tech to perform work. Had either or both or our cars been in the garage, I imagine it would have been a much more time consuming and difficult task for tech to perform the work, as he'd have considerably less space to maneuver. All and all, very pleased with Ric's.

So I signed up for this deal. The emails were unclear what to do. I got one call from them saying they would like to schedule. I called in and seemed like they were busy for weeks. Never ever got back to them or them calling me. Money got wasted

They are fantastic engineers and they are the best in the area.

Thoroughly recommend this company. Josh turned up on time. He walked me through what he was doing and completed the work very professionally and quickly. He even fixed a spring that he noticed was crooked which took him only a few minutes to correct. It's rare these days to find honest, hardworking and do what's right by the customer professionals. I'm always hesitant to engaged contractors for fear of being ripped of my hard earned wages that I work long long hours to earn. I experienced none of that. When it's time to replace my garage doors I'll be calling this company first.

Our service technician, Josh, called when he said he would, showed up early and found that I didn't have the right door type for the opener I had selected. He explained the possible solutions and got the necessary parts based on my selection. I was able to go to work and Josh let me know when he was almost done. I got back to the house where he walked me through operation of the units and he also showed me where he fixed portions of the door tracks that were installed incorrectly by the original contractor. And he did this extra work for free! Customer service is all about exceeding expectations and delighting your customer. Josh was able to do all of that and I would recommend Josh and the Ric's Garage team in a heartbeat.

I called Rics place on Friday Dec 6 afternoon . We had taken my car out of the garage because the old opener was unable to raise the door and I felt the need to solve the problem. I have been using Ric"s services for at least20 years and I was always pleased. They replaced broken springs on more than one Occasion. and I was always pleased. Josh came out early Monday morning came out with a unit with a 3/4 horsepower motor that I was sure going to solve the problem. In about an hour and a half Josh had installed the new chain driven lifter that I had requested. . He rewired the wiring and replaced components to complete the job. He was very knowledgeable . I would not hesitate to call Ric a gain if I had a problem . The door is double a wooden door with Out door siding on it to blend into the house..

To be fair, I was never on the job site while the technician was there. I had someone else give him access to the garage. I did hear he was on time and worked hard while he was there. When I did go check on the door after installation I found that the chain was slapping against the rail on opening of the garage door. I was not happy because it actually made a lot of noise and I wondered why the technician did not notice it himself? So I called the company back and they came out the next day or so and fixed it. I have not heard it myself as of yet but second hand news says it's better. I am actually thrilled to have an automatic opener! I did hear that the top of my garage door was real close the ceiling of the garage and was please that the technician was able to make it work.

Quick response. Knowledgeable. Suggested replacement of rollers which has made the operation of the door much quieter and smoother. Also programmed my auto's garage door opener which now works well.

Josh arrived very close to the time quoted and did an excellent job of removing all the old and replacing it with new. There wasn't a trace of anything have being done other than a set of new garage doors. I would very definitly us RIC'S GARAGE DOORS again. I also wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to someone else.

Joel was punctual and gave wonderful, professional service!. He could have just fixed the problem and not bothered to check anything else, but he balanced the door and lubricated the rollers in that time. We sent the company's name and contact info to all our relatives in the area
