Norsk Design Build

Norsk is a classic trash and dash contractor. They tore the house up, then would disappear for weeks on end. The project was proposed to last months... it lasted nearly a year. Their project manager confided in us that he and his crew were managing a dozen different projects at different stages. They ordered the wrong sized windows that were 30% smaller than what was specified by our architect. Then claimed we signed off on the smaller size because we paid the invoice. They stopped all work for weeks while, holding us hostage to either accept the much smaller windows or pay for the right ones as well. We ended up paying for the right size and 1/2 of the wrong size they ordered just to keep the project progressing. We’ve done several major remodels over the years. Our experience with Norsk was terrible - the owner makes a lot of promises up front but he clearly doesn’t have the same focus on quality his father had which built this brand up. Be very careful. Have penalties for delays or missed deadlines. Hold back 20% until they cure poor workmanship. And don’t trust they’ll order what is specified.... double check everything.

They tore out our kitchen cabinets only to find out it was going to take 13 weeks to get the new cabinets in, they also got the backsplash on for my stove wrong and now the tile can not be installed and that is going to hold up the flooring guys. I do not feel like the quality of work was worth the price, and will not be recommending or using this company again.

Good quality materials, good design process, mistaken order fulfillment, time spent fixing order, some installation was excellent, other installation has mistakes - repaired but visible. Overall average installation. Unfinished work and denied mistakes towards end of project--insulted by Norsk management. Had to do thorough walk through of site to show mistakes and unfinished work. They were unapologetic. Slow or no response on remedying problems. Left job partially unfinished.

They made the bathroom very picturesque. They care about the work they do and do a great job. They work with the client a lot and make sure they are pleasing them with everything they do. They have a very friendly staff and I would use them again. Respectful and professional.
