MM Comfort Systems

First of all I went to 2 other furnace companies and one said they can get a technician ONE WEEK from now to fix my furnace. Another said 4 days from now. CC Comfort said between 2-5pm today and the technician came at Noon!! Great to get same day service. Great to get here ahead of schedule. The furnace came on by itself, but still wanted the technician to find out why it failed. He thoroughly checked the wires for required amps and systems and very pleased with that. Lastly, he did not charge me for his onsite time, just the visit, which was half of what another stated. I am changing furnace company to MM Comfort for annual maintenance. Great same day service in December, knowledgeable thorough technician, and arrived ahead of scheduled.

Joe and Russ did an excellent job of communicating and installing. Hannah at office did excellent job with communication. They filed the paperwork to PSEG for our rebate and took the rebate amount ($350) off our purchase price, and registered the furnace with Carrier after it was installed. Full service company.

I got bids from 3 companies and MM Comfort System's was the best price by far. The installation went smoothly and only took a few hours. Very satisfied with the results.

Russ and Joe did a great job! They arrived promptly and worked very efficiently, getting everything done in one day. COVID protocol was followed. They answered all my questions and even fulfilled my request to relocate the thermostat. I would definitely recommend this company!

The install went well, Drew and Lamont went out of their way to minimize the amount of time that heat was not available. They gave me a detailed orientation of the new system and thermostat. The city inspectors approved the installation without any corrections.

Our problem with our unit malfunction was diagnosed quickly and repair recommendations and options were discussed promptly. The service was scheduled in a timely manner through emails and phone conversation. On day of our scheduled service, the installation team of Chris & Joshua were on time and courteous. They seemed to work well together and quite efficient while taking special care to avoid our shrubs and plants that were nearby the unit. The team electrician made his rounds on time to do his part. The whole experience went well from start to finish.

Great job done by the installers Mike and Alex. They were very professional, courteous, and efficient. After the installation they set up the thermostat and explained the operation to us. I wish all of the service people we worked with were this nice.

The installers Adam & Andrew were very professional. They did a fantastic job, showed up on time, finished in a timely fashion, and cleaned up perfectly after themselves. I highly recommend working with MM.

It frankly went very well! They were upfront with their estimates, they came in on budget, and the installers I worked with, Drew and Lamont, walked me through the process in a way that was easy to understand. They delivered on the installation quite well, and on time! When it was all said and done with, the installation process took no more than a day, and the output of the system met my expectations pretty handily.

We just had a new heater and air conditioner put in our home. MM Comfort Systems was fantastic! I got several bids, but there’s was the best by far. They were prompt with correspondence and the whole process was super fast. The estimator Rod Kippes was great and explained all of the options we had, teaching me about how the system worked and answering all of my questions. Install was beautiful and the installers Dan and Alex were so friendly and knowledgeable. They explained how to operate and maintain my furnace and taught me how to program my thermostat. I couldn’t be more happy with my new equipment and would recommend MM Comfort Systems to anyone needing heating and cooling in their home.

Sam and Justin from MM Comfort Systems did an excellent job of installing the heat pump in a tricky location under a raised wooden walkway. The side discharge unit is hidden from view of the street and from my neighbors nearby condos. My noisy 1984 furnace was replaced with a quiet air handler and new thermostat. My condo will finally be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Sam and Justin make a good team -- friendly, competent and careful about cleaning up the work areas.

Great. Russ and Chris showed up on time, wearing PPE. They installed both units and associated piping to minimize space use. They left their work spaces clean. And they wore facemasks when accessing the house to install the control unit or when talking to me.

It went great.Tom and Jordan were on time and quick. After the job they cleaned everything up! My dog, Gracie misses them.

Derrick Webster came out to our home to look at what needed to be done to replace our furnace. He prepared an estimate of three options. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. We scheduled a date and he had two professional HVAC people at our home right on schedule.

Tor has clear expertise in boiler mechanics and helped us better understand our system. He did a thorough job: unit-check for water leaks, inspect circ pumps, thermostats (no batteries), Hot Water Loop. Cleaned combustion air motor, cleaned flame sensor/igniter, and flushed pressure release valves. We've had different service professionals check it and always get a different story about how complicated and mysterious boilers are, often blatantly trying to upsell us. None of that this time. Tor was frank, cost conscious, safety conscious and down to earth. We signed on for a modest discount to have M&M Comfort Systems provide an annual service check. They will be our go-to from now on.

Over a year ago, I asked MM for a quote on installing a new furnace. My furnace is located in a closet off the hallway surrounded by bedrooms. In that location it should have been very clear to the salesman that furnace noise is a critical issue. I specifically asked the salesman about noise, and he said the furnace he recommended would be so quite that we would hardly know it was running, so I went with his recommendation. But his statement about noise turned out to be totally false. The new furnace was much louder that the old furnace, and it woke me up every night. I called MM several times complaining about noise, and they send people out to check. First they said nothing was wrong. Then they said maybe you could try this or that, but they seemed unsure about how to deal with the noise. Finally after a year, I got a specific proposal from them about how to reduce noise in the ducts, but their cost estimate for that work was high. Considering that I blame MM for my noise problem, I think their cost estimate was unacceptably high, unless their intent was to drive me away. In the end, I chose another company to install duct revisions to reduce noise, and the other company's cost was much less than the estimate from MM. The other company also told me that part of the noise problem was that MM had sold me a furnace that was bigger than needed for my small house. If the furnace was bigger than needed, that must also mean that I paid more than necessary.

The problem turned out to be a broken thermostat. The serviceman, Herb Goldman, arrived punctually, found the problem, and said he could replace the thermostat with one in his truck "that was expensive." He was already on site, and I didn't want to have to pay for him to come back and pay for installation, so I bought the new Honeywell 8000 for $479. I found the same device on Amazon for $179. Because I'm a "platinum" customer I got a 15% discount on the new thermostat. Still, such a huge markup is price gouging. The service people who've come to the house over the years from MM have always been terrific. This is the first disappointment I've had with them.
