Due to weather conditions and other delays, the job didn't begin until June 7. Once started, the crew was here early every day, until the job was completed. The roofers were efficient, friendly, and cleaned up everyday before leaving.
We needed to have some additional work done when it was discovered we had inadequate ventilation in the cathedral ceiling. The roof sheeting was damp and moldy and needed to replaced. This was done, and baffles were also installed.
We did have a mishap when one of the men stepped wrong, and put his foot through the cedar ceiling. By noon the next the ceiling was repaired and looks as good as new.
Over the course of the installation, LHRR was very responsive to our questions and concerns.
Even after the bill had been paid, they were very responsive to our concerns about the look of the flashing on the front of the house. Once we called, Francesco and his crew were there first thing the next morning and changed it out to our liking.

In December 2004 we learned the shingles were bending upwards. Haight's re-did the entire floor at no charge. They used the same type of shingles (the manufacturer had denied any problems with the shingles). The shingle company was sold to another company. In 2009 the roof began to leak again. It took a few calls, but in 2010 a third of our roof, under where the leaks were, was again replaced by Haight with no charge. Then manufactured changed the way they made their shingles to prevent the problem. New leaks appeared in other parts of our roof. The roof was still under its original warranty. We felt Haight's had bent over backward trying to solve our problem and 20 years had passed since the original job and that they were being stiffed by the shingle company. We we agreed on a price for redoing the remaining roof and gutters and adding vents in the soffit.
The job was finished before our deadline. The crew were pleasant men to work with and cleaned up very well and employed safety measures on the roof.

Having sent in our signed contract and deposit cheque we then received an email saying that, due to a backlog, work would be 6-8 weeks away. I replied explaining that we are hosting a wedding at our house over Christmas and anything they could do to expedite our repair would be appreciated. I received a call on Nov 20th saying that work could begin the following day. Later that day I got an email saying that the work would not be done after all and "I will continue to look for open times our crew may have in future days, and notify you as soon as a window of time becomes available."
We heard nothing from them again for several weeks so I emailed to chase progress on 20th January. The reply said "I have my weekly meeting with our production staff tomorrow morning. I will bring up your project and see when we can schedule your work."
We have had no further communication from them. It is now February and I am giving up. I have asked for them to return our deposit money and we will look for a more professional company to do our work. We have wasted 4 months waiting for Larry Haight to repair our leaking roof. There is no way I would recommend this company.
Update: After this review was posted, they contacted us and offered to complete the work, which took about 2 weeks. When they did the work they found additional rot, and offered to repair the additional damage at a lower rate. The work was done to an acceptable standard.

I spent over four months researching roofs and roofers. We got bids from six companies and put everything on a spreadsheet.
Larry Haight's price was comparable with the other two high quality companies but their knowledge, communication and service was far superior, as was their company culture.
During the bidding process, Larry Haight's was the most thorough about what our 100 year old house needed for the best roof, including soffett vents, ridge vents, plywood replacements, interfaces with flat roof sections, gutters, etc. They priced out every eventuality so that during the work we had no surprises. They anticipated every need, including brick chimney work and vents for plumbing and indoor fans.
Once we signed a contract for the house, we decided also to replace our flat roof and install solar panels. Larry Haight's gave the best bid again on the flat roof. Their bid was only slightly more to replace roof & repair plywood with a lifetime warranty product compared to another's bid to only repair an old torchdown.
The real test came when the roofers had to work with the solar company, Sunergy, for the work that needed to be partially done by each before either could complete. Folks from Sunergy and Larry Haight's sat at our kitchen table and planned it all out, agreeing to manage the timing between themselves. Both companies were absolutely professional, friendly, agreeable, flexible and honest. Both had good relations with local inspectors and knew every little detail that needed doing.
In addition, every phone call and email was very promptly and courteously handled, even on week-ends and around holidays.
Bottom line - I can't imagine why anyone would use a different roofing company.
