The overall quality of the work was good at the end. But on two separate occasions I had to argue with the on site crew about what work was to be performed per my contract. One item was done poorly, then fixed poorly, then fixed correctly at my insistence. They also inflated the amount of wood they billed for vs. what they used, by several hundred dollars. They also replaced another several hundred dollars worth of wood unnecessarily while leaving spongy boards in other places. They failed to get a permit for the structural work, and I was forced to get one and then have sections of the roof opened back up for inspection. I withheld payment for over 2 months to get all of these items corrected and get the bill lowered to compensate for only part of the inflated costs.

Very well. Larry Haight's did a fantastic job! They are complete professionals from start to finish. They did great work and especially did a phenomenal job of cleaning up after such a big job.

They were here about 4 days. They brought their own portapotty. Everything was clean and they cleaned up well after they were done. The roof is wonderful. Randy May was wonderful. He seems very honest. He was patient, understanding and everything went as smooth as silk. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! I am very pleased. They did a fantastic job!

flashing went well. Shingle replacement not so much. Was told tech could not be there for 4 weeks. Showed up a week later. Receptionist very stand-offish. They are often twice the price of others i get quotes from. The most recent quote was $150 over what other roofers were quoting.

Estimating and sales process was very well executed. Proposal quality was also high. We liked that this company has been in business for many years, and takes care of it's employees. High overhead costs drove estimate out of the competitive range, so we selected another company - not the lowest bid, but much lower than this one. I would consider using this reputable company, and you should too.

I chose Larry Haight because they spent the time with me to go over the details of the project. They came to my house, talked me through the estimate and I was able to ask a ton of questions. Later, I researched their answers on the internet ...such as in the type of plywood, proper ventilation, how roof valley's are done, etc. Their answers were exactly what I read was the best method. Their estimate was right in line with the other companies as well. The office staff even helped me with the decision of shingle color and gutter colors. The roofers worked hard, kept me informed when they couldn't work due to weather and when they'd come back. They kept the job sight clean.

I found the company sales and administrative staff to be very difficult to work with. Once work actually started, the labor crew and supervisors were very excellent in every way, as was the quality of their work.

I'd asked for them to be removed, which they were, however a cable that went into the attic was cut since it was right next the satellite cables. Understandable mix up. I figured I'd go splice in a new cable, but the foreman told me no, and had an electrician stop by and do the work. It was pretty simple, but it saved me the hassle of having to go buy a short piece of cable along with connectors.

It went as planned. After completion I noticed that the end of one gutter was not leveled properly, allowing water to flow the wrong direction and spill out the closed end. I contacted them and they sent someone out to correct it.

It took a while to get started due to a materials back-order. The communication wasn't the best there, but once they got started, they really did a very nice job. I can already tell I'm saving money, because my furnace isn't running as much!

Great. It turned out my roof did not need replacement at this time. The rep who came to my house was very knowledgeable. He gave me a couple of tips on things to watch out for, and said to call him back in 5 to 10 years.

Last June, our neighbor's tree fell on our house. Small repairs were needed to the roof, gutter, and gutter screen. After we took care of the tree itself, we contacted Larry Haight to repair our roof and gutter. The estimator noticed cracks in our shingles produced during pressure washing by Air Clean Your Roof a year and a half prior. We were told that they cracks were taking in water, so approximately 60 shingles needed to be replaced as well as the gutter and gutter screen. We sent in our deposit, which was needed to secure a date for repairs. Our check was cashed in July, but not it's September, the rain is falling, and we still have no date! This is especially disappointing because Larry Haight reroofed our house for use in 2011. We had thought we had a great service provider, but we were wrong.

The bid was in the middle of two other bids. And the bidding process was easy, they too the time to go over everything I was to expect. The first morning was a little shaky, they dumped the new shilgles in the wrong place and the sight manager did not show up until that afternoon. The comunication the first day or two with the sight manager was poor and not what I expected. After I complained, on the second day everything went perfect. The quality of work and professionalism of the crew was great. I am very happy.

After interviewing several roofers we contracted with LHRR on February 9. Knowing they would not be able to schedule us until late April, Michael arranged for a crew to come out and tarp our roof so we woul have no more additional damage to our cedar ceiling. Due to weather conditions and other delays, the job didn't begin until June 7. Once started, the crew was here early every day, until the job was completed. The roofers were efficient, friendly, and cleaned up everyday before leaving. We needed to have some additional work done when it was discovered we had inadequate ventilation in the cathedral ceiling. The roof sheeting was damp and moldy and needed to replaced. This was done, and baffles were also installed. We did have a mishap when one of the men stepped wrong, and put his foot through the cedar ceiling. By noon the next the ceiling was repaired and looks as good as new. Over the course of the installation, LHRR was very responsive to our questions and concerns. Even after the bill had been paid, they were very responsive to our concerns about the look of the flashing on the front of the house. Once we called, Francesco and his crew were there first thing the next morning and changed it out to our liking. the roof looks great and we are pleased with the job Larry Haight's did.

Way back in 1996 we hired Haight's to reroof our house with shingles that we much later learned were defective (there were many lawsuits around the country). We had a 40-year warranty. In December 2004 we learned the shingles were bending upwards. Haight's re-did the entire floor at no charge. They used the same type of shingles (the manufacturer had denied any problems with the shingles). The shingle company was sold to another company. In 2009 the roof began to leak again. It took a few calls, but in 2010 a third of our roof, under where the leaks were, was again replaced by Haight with no charge. Then manufactured changed the way they made their shingles to prevent the problem. New leaks appeared in other parts of our roof. The roof was still under its original warranty. We felt Haight's had bent over backward trying to solve our problem and 20 years had passed since the original job and that they were being stiffed by the shingle company. We we agreed on a price for redoing the remaining roof and gutters and adding vents in the soffit. The job was finished before our deadline. The crew were pleasant men to work with and cleaned up very well and employed safety measures on the roof.

On 4 October 2015 we returned from a weekend away to find two pools of water in our lounge from a roof leak. We immediately contacted Larry Haight who sent an estimator out within a couple of weeks. We were very keen to get the work done as quickly as possible and the estimator said it would be 2-3 weeks. We received the estimate on 6 Nov. The contract states "Terms: 50% down at signing. Upon receipt of signed contract and deposit yourproject will be scheduled within 10-21 business days, unless noted otherwise due to weather and crew availability." I should have paid closer attention to that last bit. Having sent in our signed contract and deposit cheque we then received an email saying that, due to a backlog, work would be 6-8 weeks away. I replied explaining that we are hosting a wedding at our house over Christmas and anything they could do to expedite our repair would be appreciated. I received a call on Nov 20th saying that work could begin the following day. Later that day I got an email saying that the work would not be done after all and "I will continue to look for open times our crew may have in future days, and notify you as soon as a window of time becomes available." We heard nothing from them again for several weeks so I emailed to chase progress on 20th January. The reply said "I have my weekly meeting with our production staff tomorrow morning. I will bring up your project and see when we can schedule your work." We have had no further communication from them. It is now February and I am giving up. I have asked for them to return our deposit money and we will look for a more professional company to do our work. We have wasted 4 months waiting for Larry Haight to repair our leaking roof. There is no way I would recommend this company. Update: After this review was posted, they contacted us and offered to complete the work, which took about 2 weeks. When they did the work they found additional rot, and offered to repair the additional damage at a lower rate. The work was done to an acceptable standard.

The Gold Standard ! I spent over four months researching roofs and roofers. We got bids from six companies and put everything on a spreadsheet. Larry Haight's price was comparable with the other two high quality companies but their knowledge, communication and service was far superior, as was their company culture. During the bidding process, Larry Haight's was the most thorough about what our 100 year old house needed for the best roof, including soffett vents, ridge vents, plywood replacements, interfaces with flat roof sections, gutters, etc. They priced out every eventuality so that during the work we had no surprises. They anticipated every need, including brick chimney work and vents for plumbing and indoor fans. Once we signed a contract for the house, we decided also to replace our flat roof and install solar panels. Larry Haight's gave the best bid again on the flat roof. Their bid was only slightly more to replace roof & repair plywood with a lifetime warranty product compared to another's bid to only repair an old torchdown. The real test came when the roofers had to work with the solar company, Sunergy, for the work that needed to be partially done by each before either could complete. Folks from Sunergy and Larry Haight's sat at our kitchen table and planned it all out, agreeing to manage the timing between themselves. Both companies were absolutely professional, friendly, agreeable, flexible and honest. Both had good relations with local inspectors and knew every little detail that needed doing. In addition, every phone call and email was very promptly and courteously handled, even on week-ends and around holidays. Bottom line - I can't imagine why anyone would use a different roofing company.
