I opted not to use the gutter covers that I believe were part of the system. As a consequence, the hangers that were used to fasten the gutters to the fascia board are visible from street level. I find this disconcerting. Relaying my concerns to the firm, I was told that they would return and paint the hangars for an additional $250.00. I refused this option as being ridiculous. Later they informed me that they would supply the paint if I would do the job myself.

I think that they are probably one of the top roofing companies. They were one of the only ones that offered the type of roofing material that we needed.

Went very well. Crew was very professional and had a system where they were all working at the same time but helping each other. They were neat and would have finished in 1 day but ran out of shingles. According to my neighbor they were back early next morning and finished. Clean up was fabulous. They were unable to pick up the dumpster after the 1st day and called me to ask permission if they could leave it overnight. I had a minor problem and they were out to fix it in just a couple of days.

This job was a nightmare, but not because of the roofing company. The company was stellar in its handling of the multiple issues that came up. When it was determined that rafters needed replacing, my salesman, Randy May, worked diligently with the city permit office to ensure that the work would meet code. This was the first nightmare, and took months to resolve, due to the city processes, not Haight. This pushed the job out beyond a scheduled kitchen remodel, so when the roofers finally started work, they had to walk through my house on newly refinished floors. They took great care to protect the floors and the house. When the roof was opened and the greenhouse window removed, they found the entire bedroom wall rotten because the window had been flashed incorrectly during the previous roof replacement. Back to the permit department. More delays. Rain. The only time the sun shone was when the house was papered and tarped, waiting for the building inspector. The job took three and a half weeks to complete, and I estimate a total of one week of that time was spent waiting for inspections before they could proceed to the next part of the job. Through the entire process, Randy May kept in touch with me about the progress of the entire job and set up the electrician sub-contractor to replace the wiring in my master bedroom wall. The carpenter, Kirk, took time to explain the process and reassure me that it would all turn out fine. Once the job was complete, it actually took over two months to receive the final bill. Randy had to review all the daily timesheets to make sure I was not being double billed for the additional wall replacement, since both that and the roof were done concurrently. Their original bid was the middle one of three for a roof replacement, but given all the other issues that arose, I am VERY glad I chose Haight. They took excellent care of me during a very difficult time, and I know that if I ever have ANY problems with the work they did, they will stand behind it 100%.

The company was responsive to my inquiry, and got back to me with in approx 5 days for a walk around. Provided a very good estimate and provided reasonable detail of the gutter options. The estimator was open to my suggestions. The invoice was in need of a little more detail. The office was very proficient in responding back to calls and emails. However, I was surprised to have the crew show up unannounced, eventhough we were in agreement that I would not need to be onsite for the work. Job was completed quickly in a few hours, and there was no expectation of paying the work crew, but for payment submittal to the office, which I prefer. I would highly recommend this company.

We were very happy with the work they did. The installation guys didn't speak English, but they did a good job. The finish crew were easy to speak with and also did a great job as well.

They came out and installed all the vents approximately were I asked them to. After getting in the attic I realized that I couldn't find one of the vents. They installed it into a location where the attic was blocked. (This wasn't there fault I was the one who said where to put it). So they came out and installed an additional vent where I needed it.

My estimate was with Chris. He was very honest, nice, professional, and friendly. Before his estimate I was sure I needed a full replacement, but he took extensive time evaluating the situation, even crawling around in the attic on a hot day, and was upfront and honest by informing me he did not think the entire roof needed replacing. I was optimistic about working with this company, however, because the bid needed to go through the owners, who happened to be vacationing, I waited a couple weeks before the estimate came through. In the meantime I had to accept a different bid to get the repair done in a timely fashion. Though their bid was more than the company I had accepted, and I was disappointed that the offer took so long, I left with a generally good feeling about the company and will be talking with them when the roof needs a full replacement.

The work looks great, especially the flashing around the chimney. We received five estimates and they were not the cheapest, but very professional and we would definitely recommend them.

All aspects of the contract were handled well and to our complete satisfaction. Their price was mid-range in the bids we received. We chose them based, in part, upon the Angie's List comments. There were very flexible, when on the day the tear off began, our home owners association asked us to change the material. There was absolutely no problem with making the change. The clean up was amazing.

This company is very professional. They explained all our options and gave us information to make a good choice about the roofing material and the gutters. We had some structural problems to deal with and they also were able to take care of these. The crew was pleasant and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. They are a little more expensive than some other quotes but the quality is better. They also replaced some siding that had rotted and repainted it.

Everyone with whom we came in contact at Larry Haights was very helpful, very professional, and performed their job in a pleasant, timely manner. The workmen cleaned up the property each day before they left the site, and no trees/shrubs were damaged during the whole tear-off and replacement project. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is considering a composition roof installation.

Estimate was promptly and professionally prepared. They did try and negotiate a final price. Felt a small amount of pressure to buy. Nothing major. Estimated cost was $20,000.

We really like working with them. They were very nice and did great work. It was one of those expenses you don't want to do, but compared to other companies they were very reasonable.

The salesman happened to be the V.P. of the company. He was very thorough in the explanation of what the steps would be during the course of the job. He prepared me for the estimate stating that the membrane roof is considerably more expensive than torch down but comes with a life time guarantee. I paid him half up front and the work was scheduled. The work took place in December and some snow days interrupted the job. There was a little breakdown in communications during this time but given the circumstances it was a minor issue. The crew was very efficient from what I saw and kept the site fairly clean. They made an extra effort to complete the job promptly due to the delay the snow days caused. There was a concern on getting Christmas lights up and they even offered to do that for us if we wanted. The only thing I could complain about is there were some dirt marks on one side of the house caused by some scraping or rubbing of something that wasn't cleaned off.

They responded to my inquiry within 30 minutes. They came when they said they would. By roofing standards, it was kind of a small job and other companies weren't interested in it. They assessed the roof and made recommendations. They didn't try to sell me a new roof. They were good and very professional. You can tell that they know what they are doing and are interested in building a relationship with customers. I would definitely recommend them.

Installation crews carefully moved furniture, protected carpet and isolated work area to control dust etc for each step of the work. Site was left exactly as found each time. Clean up and care in moving equipment in and out of room done well. Follow up on finishing work yet to be completed, but is scheduled. Crew is always courteous with great attention to detail and response to our questions and suggestions.

We were impressed by Mike Apple, the estimator/foreman. He seemed to grasp our special situation. Crew worked tirelessly and handled unforeseen problems professionally and left the job site clean and neat at the day s end. Questions on the final bill were addressed and resolved quickly to our satisfaction.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL FROM BEGINNING TO END. THE FINAL BILL WAS OVER THE ESTIMATE, BUT WE UNDERSTAND WHERE THE EXTRA COST CAME FROM. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THEY DID.

I had to call them back, but it was probably because they were overwhelmed with business due to the storm.

Larry Haight provided an estimate fairly quickly. My insurance company balked at the estimate, so a drawn-out negotiation ensued. In the end, Larry Haight prevailed and my insurance covered his estimate. However, insurance folks did complain a number of times that their calls were not being returned by the contractor. The work was started on time, but there were numerous delays, some attributable to the weather, others not. At one point, apparently, one of their sub-contractors reported the job as complete without completing it, and no progress was made until I called the office to complain. In the end, though, they did a great job on my roof and gutters. Cleanup was superb --- it is as if they weren't there.

Called the company and explained I had some shingle missing and was curious about the state of my roof and could I schedule an inspection. The receptionist asked me if I was requesting a repair estimate or a re-roof estimate? I replied I didn't know which to specify as was not sure as to the condition of my roof. Again, I had some shingles missing and was concerned about the condition and could I schedule an inspection. After putting me on hold for approximately 60-90 seconds, the receptionist came back on the line and informed the service I was needing with their 21 point roof inspection which would cost me $250.00. Only mentioning it would be comped into the cost of the job after I specifically asked.

It took about 3 weeks to get an appointment because my roof started leaking during one of the rainiest months on record, and they were already booked up, and my first appointment had to be rescheduled because of a snowstorm. Many of the other roofers that I called were only willing to do repairs on roofs that they had installed, but LHRRC was willing to see me, even though I did not know who had installed my roof. When the estimator arrived, he was professional and quick. He made the repair on the spot, so I did not have to arrange a second appointment. He also told me that my roof probably had another few years in it and that I didn't need to worry about the flashing around my chimney (which I asked about b/c it looks sort of dodgy). The next week we had more heavy rain, and this time, we stayed dry inside. The bill arrived shortly thereafter in the amount we had agreed upon. I will call LHRRC again when it is time to replace the roof. Also, they have a very informative website.

They did an outstanding job. They tore off the old roof and installed Shake roofing, and in addition they installed a 16x40 in skylight in the bathroom. There was a problem as part of the tear-off and some of the siding was damaged and they fixed it completely, I must say I really like the company.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT, THEY CAME IN LAST MINUTE WHEN SOMEONE ELSE HAD BACKED OUT, GAVE US A FAIR PRICE AND DID A GREAT JOB. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
