We did have some estimates that were less and but there were things I didn't like. So we went with Larry Haight's Roofing and were very pleased. I would use him again in the future if needed.

We had a leakage with the roof and he came out to patch around the chimney. Everything went really well and we would recommend him. He showed up on time, knew what he was doing, and was easy to work with.

From the initial proposal meeting, to the re-roofing itself, and all contacts with the company by phone, the contacts were complete and pleasant. The company arranged for the permits and the City of Issaquah inspector was prompt with his inspection. The roofing crew was professional and efficient. They worked very well together. The clean-up was complete, no plantings were harmed. We are entirely satisfied.

I was pleased with them.  They could have sold me a new roof and they didn’t.  I think they were just very honest and open.  They did a really nice job when I finally bought the gutters.

Overall, outstanding job. The workers were prompt, clean, and attentive to detail. In addition, they offered advice on repair (and then did the repair) to the fascia boards to reduce water runoff. We would hire this company again.

Went very smoothly, from the estimate/bidding process to the final walk-through.  A very professional company that went the extra mile to ensure my needs were met.
Their onsite inspection revealed corrosion issues with my furnace exhaust stack, attic vents, etc.  They provided photographic details and worked these items into the bid.
Work was done per expectations (time, cost, etc.).
Competitive price.

!Sometimes, even though there are a few glitches along the way, an experience can turn out so well that you hardly remember there were problems. This is the experience we had with Larry Haight Roofing.
Our house has a fairly flat roof. About 15 years ago, we installed a vinyl roof that, because of poor installation, failed to drain rain water adequately.  We dithered around and didn't do anything about it until - naturally - we dug out the warranty and found we were  a few months over the expiration. We began a search for a roofer who could/would fix the problem (we were leaving umbrellas on the patio so out guests could reach the door through the entry "waterfall"). We called 15 or more so-called roofers, getting varied responses to our problem. Most of them came out, looked, and never called back. We were discouraged. We joined Angie's list, but also began to dither again, until the constantly pouring water at our front door began to make us crazy. We finally thought, gee, we're paying for Angie's List, why don't we USE it?  and so we found Larry Haight Roofing, who sent someone out who was knowledgeable and professional, understood our type of roof, and knew what to do about it.
The problem with our roof involved too-little depth on the fascia boards to contain the water that sits on our Pacific Northwest roofs. The original installers had laid 1" of insulation over our original tongue-and-groove roof because of age-shrinkage of the wood. They did not compensate with an increase in fascia board height, as well as merely shoving the roofing material down into the downspouts without adhering it to the sides, creating wrinkles that blocked the flow of water-plus-fir-needles. Larry Haight Roofing fixed all that.
Yes, we had some small problems: due to a communications glitch, we did not hear from Larry Haight Roofing for a month or more after sending our down payment. When we realized how long it had been (they'd told us they would begin our work within a couple of weeks), we called and discovered we weren't even scheduled. Whatever was written on the work order had led them to believe the job was a small one that could be done anytime. Once we had apprised them of the truth of the situation, Larry Haight Roofing could not have been more professional and apologetic. The job was scheduled, and began well ... until we discussed the job with the Larry Haight guy, who told us that we weren't getting the peak boards replaced, just the fascia, and we said "but those ARE fascia boards, and he said no, they're BARGE boards - no one had told us there was a difference. We renegotiated our bill with the company, they finished the job, cleaned up thoroughly, and we are waterfall-free and no longer dithering - sure feels good to get things done!
We are very very happy with Larry Haight Roofing. They repaired a roof that we had trouble getting anyone else even to LOOK at, much less even consider! They were professional, thorough and quick. We highly recommend them!

I gave them a call and they walked us through the whole process.  Professional, not pushy and very patient with our multiple questions.  We aimed for a bit more expense to get a solid roof (didn't want to think about it again for awhile) with a great warranty.  They fixed our roof but noticed a major problem in the wall of the house during the process.  Before fixing gave us a mid-process and fair estimate.  Assisted finding another contracter to fix the wall.  Overall they did the project in a timely fashion and were VERY easy to work with.  Very professional, cleaned up completely after their work and we have had no problems since then.  Would highly recommend them.

They were outstanding. They were right on target with their prices, there were no surprises there. Their workmanship was superb. They gave us advice along the way. We had a couple of tricky questions pertaining to the job that they were able to answer for us. They were a stellar outfit and I would use them again. We have additional work and I am going to use them again.

They quoted something over the phone. The guy came out and didn’t have to do much work so they lowered the price. He didn’t see the problem that they thought it was. The gutter was in the wrong direction, he bent the gutter in place and we’re very satisfied.

For some time, we?d had a roof leak in our kitchen, especially when we had a strong wind & rain storm, or snow buildup.  Several DIY attempted solutions did not correct the problem.  We used Angie?s list for help in finding four roofers to give bids.  After looking at all options, from repairing a section to a complete re-roof, we decided to do a full roofing job.
We decided to go with Larry Haight?s Residential Roofing Company, Inc.  During the bidding process Haight?s made an appointment for us to meet and go over in detail the entire process, contract, price quote and any questions we might have.   All the contractors were with local companies and seemed quite knowledgeable, but the extra effort to sit down and discuss details, interact face-to-face and ask questions sold us on Haight?s roofing.  George Bear, vice president, gave us an excellent description on the details, materials to be used, installation method, detailed costs, some options to consider, and how long it would take.
The job itself was started on time despite working around some inclement weather and ended right on time.  We had Chris working with us as overseer of the work crew.  Every day he started by giving us a briefing of what to expect that day and gave us contact information to get in touch with him in case we had questions or any concerns.  Chris was a delight to work with as he was very polite, explained the day?s work in terms we could understand and closely monitored the crew?s work. The crew worked very hard each day, and were extremely cordial toward us.  They always ended the day by cleaning up the area.  We were very pleased with the work that they did.
The work was completed on time and the cost was as stated.  We feel confident that the problems we had are now solved.  We would highly recommend Haight?s roofing for any roofing needs you might have.
Thank you George, Chris and the entire work crew for a job well done.

I had a very efficient and professional experience with them from the initial bid to the completion.

Larry Haight's Roofing did not have the lowest price bid but did get my home's new roof project because of the thoroughness and details included in the bid.

They conducted a thorough review of the roof prior to providing a bid, provided a detailed bid, and the project was completed with a professional crew that was very efficient and cleaned the debris without a trace. They assign a project manager and he was on top of the project at all times and in daily communication with me on how the project was progressing.

Highly recommend them for a new roof project.

He’s got a good rating. He is not the cheapest but he probably is the best. We have a complex roof and that’s one of the reason that I chose him. He has been in business for a long time about 29 years and has a lot of experience. He was able to take care of any dry rot and anything else we had going on with our roof replacement. I had another highly rated roofer come out and give a bid that was slightly lower but he has only been in business for a couple of years but it gave me some price comparison and he was within 2 to 4 percent. He has a crew chief that I could call anytime for follow up. I shouldn’t have to, the roof has to be there for 50 years. I have a manufactures guarantee for 50 years and their own company guarantees for 50 years, if there is any work needs to be done.

I chose this company, partly because it was a little cheaper than the other highest-level companies we got bids from (but the not the lowest bid overall), partly because of their Angie's List reputation, and a lot because of their ideas and options for our project.  They were the only company to suggest facia with the gutters if I chose to replace them.  George Bear, who was the salesman for the project, took the time I needed to learn about the products and the options without taking so much of my time that I resented it. (One salesman was here for 5 hours over two days...and I have three young children!)  A selling point for me is that this company is rated a "5-star" installer by CertainTeed, the maker of the material we chose, giving us a lifetime warranty on our roof.

There was a slight miscommunication between the office scheduler and myself at the beginning of the project. I had received a letter earlier than the project was scheduled to begin on the Monday of a certain week.  I never got--or made--a call the Friday before to confirm, so when they never showed up on Monday, I called and found out they were coming on Wednesday.

Once they did come on Wednesday, I was very pleased with the crew.  Chris, the foreman, is about the easiest man to work with.  His crew was stymied by a few days of hard rain, and since they were dealing with a lot of insulating, not much could get done right away.  But they made up for it once the weather cleared.  The crew was very polite and worked with me as I came and went with the kids.

I was initially impressed with the insulation work.  But a month later, I had someone come out and do an energy audit and he found that the insulation was very dirty (roofing material had fallen on it) near the back of the attic and the insulation was spread unevenly, giving coverage anywhere to full 14 inches to only a few.  I used his pictures and sent them to Mr. Bear with a note, that though I had signed off on that work, I would like to have the work fixed and completed.  Mr. Bear called me right away, apologized, and made a plan for the work to be done.  Two guys came back, cleaned it out, and did a great job adding several more bags of insulation.  It may not have been perfect the first time, but never have I had a complaint taken care of so readily.

Another small note about the roof that I really like, the company installed hooks (D-rings) at three places along our roof, so that we can use them for additionally safety when we need to clean it.

I probably won't need to use this company again, as I plan on being here a long time and this roof should outlast even me, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone else.

They did an excellent job from bid through completion and follow-up concerns.

We invited three companies that all had high ratings on Angie's list to give us a bid.  This company was not the lowest bidder (even with the 5% Angie's List discount), but we were the most comfortable with them.  The other two companies would not meet with us in person as my husband & I both work and they would do appointments in the late afternoon/evening.  They e-mailed us quotes.  George on the other hand came out to meet with us in person and spent the time to review the bid and explain every line item, his companies approach to the project, and what we could expect.  He answered all questions we had.

The company was very professional.  They came to do the work very close to the estimated start date.  They were done within the time frame they estimated.  They took care to not damage the surrounding bushes, etc.

The roof looks great.

The only issue we have had to date is a gutter that had no problems last rainy season and turned into  a waterfall this year.  Of course, our assumption was this must be related to the roof installation.  The company was extremely responsive in coming out to look at the issue.  They believed the primary issue was the original installer of the gutters had installed the corner that was overflowing lower than the downspout.  They did say it was possible they aggravated the situation - although they left the gutters in place when they did their work -  and even offered to put in a rain chain.   We declined as this chain would have been in the middle of a patio.  We called a different company to lower the drain spout (it was only $200).  I was happy that they were willing to work with us on it.
