 + 7 moreSteve, Greg and crew are all very professional and considerate. They knew we had to live here while our entire property was torn up - creating temporary paths for us to the door during construction. They cleaned up the area daily and were considerate of our neighbors. They were conscious of our budget and gave us ideas and feedback on different strategies to save money or prioritize work. (This is a multi-phased project.) Rain was a big factor in our project as they could not escavate and grade in the rain and we had stringent erosion control requirements due to the amount of dirt we were moving (City of Shoreline requirements). We had to have tarps over the entire property to help control erosion. They watched the weather closely and did not send the work crew and equipment unless they could get in a good day of work. LDLC is a quality landscape firm and we highly recommend them for increasing your property value, street appeal - and generallly taking your outdoor living environment to the next level. Fire pits, out door BBQ areas, patios, driveway, walkways, hidden paths, retaining walls, erosion control plants, and beautiful beds - LDLC helped us with all these.
Description of Work: We bought a new house and needed a complete re-structuring of the property - not just a new garden. Steve Schnieder and Greg Lilley helped us put together a landscape design that made the most of the property, took every possible advantage of our beautiful view of the Puget Sound, and turned "nothing spaces" into useable areas. They started the escavation work in October 2010 and worked to early December 2010. The scope of work included: Develop landscape design with elevations, strategies for redistribution of soil, hardscape strategies, erosion control, and drainage. Transplanted all our major plants and trees into a "nursery" area while property was reformed Demolition and removal of old driveway, deck, walk ways, grass, etc. Resculped landscape to new levels and form, including new driveway and space for new garage (phase II project) Installed retaining walls, moved plants and trees to new locations (100-400 lbs root balls Moved sewer line Installed new french drain Managed "tarp" on property to avoid erosion

 + 1 moreSteve and Greg were a great team, and provided a design that captured the atmosphere we wanted to create. They were very creative and accommodating, and the quality of the workmanship was very high. My only complaint was that they ended up being a couple weeks late in finishing, but that was partially due to a very wet spring. These guys know their business well, have a very strong crew and are easy to work with. I checked several references before hiring them and got consistently high praise. Description of Work: This project involved a major re-landscaping of the front yard, including masonry work to add stone facings, flagstone path, water feature, an entry gate and large wooden screens, new stairs and plantings.
