IRC Kitchen & Bath

It went well. We had some scheduling conflicts so it took a little longer than planned, but we weren't under any time constraints so that was fine. I now have a 'go-to' for tiling. I would use them again in a heartbeat.l

From the start, David and his crew did an excellent job. Firstly, we have had a few major jobs done in our house, including another bathroom remodel, kitchen, and family room remodel. All previous experiences were average at best- it was either poor communication, not showing up on time, missing something or doing something wrong, or in one case, not finishing the job and never coming back after they said they would. After all of this, we have been very leery of hiring contractors for another job. Poor communication and good working ethics seem to be a common problem in this industry. Why is it so hard to find someone who will do the job right, communicate with you as you go along, and finish on time for a reasonable price? Well, IRC Tile did all of that and more. We were always contacted so that we knew when to expect the guys who were working on that day. They were always checking in with us to confirm details before they did the work, David was regularly checking in to see how it was going, did we have questions, concerns, etc. The guys who were working (Silvester, Alex) were always timely, polite, communicative, hard-working, and did their best to keep the place clean at the end of each day. Another big plus was that we negotiated the services of an interior designer into the bid. Working with Suzy was wonderful as well and made the process go smoothly. While we had received another bid which was lower, David's prices are reasonable and good value considering the quality of the work and the high standards to which this business operates. We are very happy with the final product. We would highly recommend IRC Tile! Thanks David!

David was professional, communicative, and skilled from day 1. I hired IRC for a full kitchen remodel in my condo and could not be happier with the results. Although I had preliminary design drawings from an earlier hire (which helped make the bidding process smoother and more accurate), after starting work, David brought on a designer he frequently works with to shepherd my project through competition. The value Suzy added to the finished product was immeasurable. Whether it was the precise construction drawings she produced or her bringing dozens (if not hundreds) of pounds worth of material samples to my home, she was a joy to work with. David's workers were polite, clean, and fast. They were even willing to be around during appliance delivery windows that would have otherwise meant me needing to take time off work. What impressed me most about David was his communication. He touched base for every unforseen condition or design change, and helped walk me through the options in detail. He was very transparent with costs, and very reasonable with extras (which, I'll be honest, were mostly due to my expensive tastes!). While I think I'll be taking a break from the remodel life to enjoy summer, there is no doubt in my mind I'll go to David and IRC Tile for my next home improvement project.

The work was to start on the same day as the big snow storm that came in. David had emailed me the night before to confirm his guys and he would be at my house between 8:30-9:30. When I got up and saw the snow I figured David would call and tell me that they would not be able to make it but before 8:30 David was at my door and his guys were right behind him. Because of the snow they could not bring the big van to put all the demoed stuff in so they needed to use the garage till the next day. I have a slightly steep driveway so it also made for coming in and out difficult and with the snow much more so. I was going to go shovel the drive for them and David said no one of his guys would do it along with the porch. What great service. The guys got to work after laying out what was needed to keep my floors and carpet from being tracked on while they were working. They were actually pretty quiet besides the demo of the baths sometimes I didn't even know they were there. David was great to work with if we had any questions or issues or if there were any questions or issues from his side he was always right on getting back to us. His guys were great to work with they were always here early and sometimes stayed late depending on what they were doing. They always made sure to double check that what they were doing and what we wanted was working. I do want to say that David suggested using Suzi a designer he works with on projects. This was the best thing we could have done. Unless you like to do designs she is great to work with. She gets your ideas, takes you out to showrooms, takes all the measurements and gets the plans drawn up before the project gets started. This was a great help for David and his guys as there would be little to no changes as it was already figured out before they started. The project took 4 weeks to complete and we Love our updated bathrooms. I took pictures before and during the project and I can't believe they are the same bathrooms.

The job went very smoothly. Everyone showed up when they said they would and did exactly what they said they would do. The demo went quickly and smoothly with no mess to my house. The plumber, tiler, and carpenter were amazing -- took their time to do an absolutely perfect job. Small changes were accommodated without hassle. I actually missed that the light fixture did not make it into the formal scope, but they took care of it quite reasonably. It's a little bit of a challenge making a shower feel large in such a small space, but I love the result.

This is our second remodeling project using IRC Tile. The first project was a complete remodel of a hall bath. IRC just completed remodeling our master bath and laundry room. We are extremely pleased with the work performed by David and his crew. The quality of the work is outstanding. All of his crew are easy to work with, helpful with design suggestions and very responsive to requests. They did an excellent job of installing the cabinets, counter top, tiles and plumbing fixtures. Everything was done exactly as agreed and the finished product looks great. David is professional, accommodating and easy to work with. He even sent his crew twice after the contract was finished to install cabinet hardware which was not included in the original contract.

Emanuel and his crew were very professional and courteous. The work was completed on time and with great care. We had a few modification as we went along but everything turned out just fine. We had herringbone (chevron) tile installed for the entire shower which can be challenging, they were able to make it look fabulous. They worked with our schedule and returned our calls and concerns in a timely manner. We will definitely choose them next time for our next project.

I was so impressed with David and his crew (Sylvester, Egor, and Emanuel). They did an amazing job. David was in constant contact with me regarding the progress of the remodel, any issues that arose, and how things were going. He worked with me closely on cost so that we didn't go over budget. He introduced me to his designer to help pick out tile, cabinets, mirrors, etc. David and his crew were punctual, respectful, and very friendly. The attention to detail by IRC is amazing. Tile cuts and millwork cuts were precise. The tile was impeccable. They kept the area clean while they worked and never left a mess. They sometimes worked late hours (which they asked our permission and we approved) in order to get the project done sooner than expected. Any questions or concerns I had were discussed and handled appropriately without push back. I remodeled my kitchen several months prior to hiring IRC for my bathroom remodel. I wish I had known about David (IRC Tile Services) prior to my kitchen remodel. I would have hired him instead of the company I used. He was great to work with and I will recommend him to anyone who asks (and those who don't!). Thank you David, Sylvester, Egor, and Emanuel for all your willingness to adjust when I changed things, your hard work, and attention to detail. You made my house look fabulous.

IRC completely remodeled our master bathroom: reconfigured the shower, built new tub deck, installed new tub, vanity, faucets and toilet, moved electrical outlets, tiled the walls and floor. From the very first meeting David actively participated in the project suggesting either a better or more efficient way or even how to cut the cost. The team was very professional and friendly. Tile work was exceptional. The project was not very big but there were few tight spots that required good planing and precise work. Needless to say, we never regretted that we chose IRC. My husband and I are very happy with the result and we plan to use IRC for our future projects.

IRC showed up right on time to start the project and the work progressed continuously according to the schedule they had promised. Everything was done in a very professional and high-quality manner. They were very mindful of keeping things clean on a daily basis. They put up some plastic barriers to keep dust and dirt from spreading around the house. I worked with a designer who works with them to choose materials and I am really happy with how the color and texture schemes turned out. It was a very pleasant experience, despite the necessary disruptions of construction.

Emanuel went through the process of demo, prep, install, sealing, and cleaning up, Giving Us much advise and explanation of the work to be performed, and time involved for what we wanted. He was very clear and straight forward about what he suggested to do, making Us feel very comfortable. His team really enjoy what they do!! Smiling, explaining what they were doing, and answering any questions that We had. Very clean, neat, and good at managing their work space. We are so happy!! and you will be too!!!

Extremely smoothly! David and his crew show great professionalism from project inception to finishing. They were always timely arriving in the morning, and there were no surprises. If I ever had questions or concerns they were addressed immediately. It is a pleasure working with IRC tile. We will definitely hire them again for future projects!

David and his crew did a great job on our bathroom remodel and saved us money along the way. We had originally gotten a bid from Home Depot for the work. Not only was David's bid lower than theirs, but it also included a new bathtub install that wasn't in the other quote. The tile work is beautiful. I would definitely use them again.

David Hoblea, owner of IRC Tile Services, was our direct contact throughout this project. He was extremely professional, courteous and responsive. Even though we were living out-of-state throughout the duration of the project, we had frequent contact with David by phone and email and we always felt that he was accessible. David designated a site manager to oversee the work on our home. At various times, this individual was assisted by others employed by David. It is clear that David places a premium on hiring and training people to meet his high standard of customer service and professionalism --- all of our interactions with members of his team were exemplary. David was at our home often during the project and he notified us immediately of all issues as they arose. He always presented clear options for addressing any changes that surfaced as work progressed. Our interactions with David were straight-forward and we quickly developed a feeling of mutual trust as our project moved forward. We would definitely ask David to submit a quote for any future work on our home!

It went well. Emanuel as project manager is very professional and communicates clearly. Jonathan who does carpentry and plumbing is lovely to have around and works quickly and effectively. The tiling work was beautifully done. This was a somewhat small job (for them, not for me) and it took awhile to find someone but I am happy I chose IRC.

From first contact, David and his team were the utmost professionals. The bid process was easy to get started, and David turned around the bid super-fast. We worked together to fix planning gaps (left by other contractors), and I really valued his professional opinion, helping me weigh pros/cons of cost, quality and style. Really great communication throughout the process, David was fast to respond via email (or phone); he always seems to be plugged in. What's most important, the final product looks great. Highly recommend to others...too bad it's the last room in our house to remodel, otherwise, I'd contact him again.

Emanuel and his crew were great - professional, punctual, and most importantly, did beautiful work. The job included cement tile, new baseboards and sheetrock, and hardwood floor on the stairs. The guys were able to widen the stairs and add a few inches of headroom, which was a feat of physical magic. I no longer hit my head when carrying a laundry basket up. Woo! I hope to work with Emanuel again on future jobs and will happily recommend IRC.

Everything went very well, and work was good quality. As any issues arose, Emanuel and team were easy to work with and flexible with any changes requested/required. Overall, we were very pleased with the work and would highly recommend IRC.

We chose IRC to remodel our Master and Guest bathrooms after seeing their glowing reviews on Angie's List. We couldn't be more pleased with our decision. They are fair in their pricing, trustworthy and do outstanding work. Emanuel is an excellent project manager. He is an 'on the job' manager who works on the project to it's completion. Demo was done quickly and neatly. The plumbing in our condo was original and dated. He worked with his plumber to figure out a creative way to update it that wouldn't break our budget. He implemented my design ideas into our limited space and was very patient and knowledgeable. He listens to your ideas but will gently steer you in another direction when needed. Emanuel has been doing this for a long time, has excellent taste and knows what will look great and function well. I often ended up taking his advice and was always glad that I did. IRC is a full-service construction firm The team does an excellent job with all the 'invisible' construction work, such as electrical wiring, plumbing, etc.. But the tile work is what you and everyone else will see when your project is complete. That was another reason we chose them. Sergio is a true tile artist....he does the most beautiful, meticulous tile installation work I have ever seen. He has such great attention to detail. The end result is simply gorgeous! Everything that I pictured was even better than I'd imagined. We appreciate everything Emanuel, Sergio and Jonathan did. The quality of their work is top-notch. They exceeded our expectations. Typically the scope of our project was considered a small contract, for many kitchen and bathroom contractors, so it took several months to get reliable responses from contractors for estimates. We contacted many personally-recommended contractors, and contractors known through my field of work. None of them panned out as reliable sources, so I then took the search to Angie's List, where I immediately noticed IRC Tile Service's excellent ratings and reviews. I contacted and met with David, the owner of IRC for an estimate and to discuss the damages and needed repairs to the shower. It was immediately clear to me that he and his team would be the most responsible bidder. His estimate was comparable to other contractors, but it was not the lowest bid, nor the highest. What initially impressed me the most about David was his intent to listen to the various investigations I had already undertaken in an attempt to assess the shower failure. Due to the difficulties I had in getting Contractors to respond to my correspondence (all before going with Angie's List) this amounted to a lot of research, trial and error to diagnose the issue. Rather than taking the approach of trying to tell, he listened to my knowledge of the situation as a potential customer which helped immediately and served as an indicator to me that a working relationship with IRC Tile Service could be one of collaboration, rather than confrontation or miscommunication. Additionally, I was impressed with how David made clear his standards of quality and professionalism. I think it's easy at the time of an estimate meet-up, for someone seeking a contractor's help for a repair-based job to end up feeling as though they're not being heard, or that they're being told what they want to hear – that the project can be done quickly and inexpensively. Sometimes, that's simply not the best course of action. The most telling example of this was that he was unwilling to warrantee a partial re-build of our shower. The project went extremely well. David's team was very professional, consulted, and collaborated with me at every major moment in the project. The demo crew came in and set up construction debris mitigation items like floor protection and dust curtains. They conducted the demo in a very controlled fashion, keeping the demo activities highly contained to the area of work. The crew removed, retained and reinstalled my existing shower fixtures. They also successfully removed and retained my existing shower glass wall and door and hired a shower glass specialist to reinstall that particular system. I appreciated that and the acknowledgment that another contractor had the better knowledge in those types of systems, rather than having IRC tile deal in a matter that's not their specific area of expertise. David's team was also required to make minor plumbing, sub-flooring, drywall and finish flooring repairs on my project. All of the tasks were completed with great care and I made myself available (and was brought in) to review the work at each step of the way before the team added the next layer(s) of the shower assembly. I consider this kind of consideration to be really invaluable and gave a lot of piece of mind, to be able to see each layer of the project being constructed correctly, especially given that this type of work concerns the plumbing system of the house. I even had some challenges with my tile product, which was a production-line issue with the tile company, that David was able to work around, without too long of a project delay from the installation side of the project. At the end of each work-day David would consult with my daily tile craftsman, and then also have a summary conversation with me to answer any questions and address any concerns with the day's activities. Overall it was actually fun to work with David and his team. A situation that could have been completely stressful, because we were working through damages that turned out to be caused by the irresponsible work of someone else, turned out to be a fun problem to solve, with craftsmen who worked with me to resolve routine challenges along the way (like tile patterning, positioning soap niches, the build of the shower curb, repairing sub-flooring from the pan failure etc.). I'd love to work with David and the team at IRC Tile for a non-repair based remodel in the future.

IRC, specifically Emanuel, did a great job. He was really responsive and helped us with various decisions. He gave suggestions but also the space to make our own choices. Just about everything went smoothly; hickups were minor and corrected quick - for example the light was installed in the wrong place but fixed right away. They had great rates and discussed and revised the bid in detail a number of times. The time of the remodel went a bit longer than expected and there were a few times where work stopped for a few days without much notice. Fortunately, we were not strictly time bound which i think IRC appreciated and allowed us to work together really well.

Emmanuel and his team were fantastic! He followed up to an online inquiry I made requesting an appointment for an estimate on a new tile backsplash to add a little pop to the kitchen in a home we were putting on the market. He was punctual and professional, and gave me his opinion on which of my possible tile choices would work best. He saw that one wall would need a layer of drywall in order to close the gap between an old, bad granite installation, and the new backsplash - but he handled it for us. I also asked him at the last minute to replace the '90s vinyl in the bathrooms, with ceramic tile - and he quickly gave us an estimate and did the work, working with our "need it yesterday" schedule! It looks spectacular, and I'm so glad that Angie's List paid off for us! We would certainly use IRC again, and highly recommend Emmanuel! A++!

David and Igor are key to getting a bath remodel done right. This is our second bath completed by IRC,both projects completely satisfactory. prospective remodelers in need of fantastic tile work and perfect layout, Igor is the guy. His boss David has strengths in project planning, installation, and allows homeowners to select and purchase materials if desired, which we did. Price competitive, timely completion and quality workmanship are what you get from IRC.

David Hoblea was polite, punctual and thorough with details from the start. He was helpful to me in acquiring the items I needed to purchase and patient in answering questions. His workmen were exceptionally talented and professional. We are very pleased, proud and happy with this job.

Working with IRC tile services was a great experience. As a first time home owner of a rather old house, they helped to transform my bathroom into my ream bathroom. They were very professional and communicated every step of the process with me. They worked hard through the holidays to try and get everything done. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
