We recently had a fire in our crawl space where live wires burnt the plastic vapor barrier causing tremendous fire odor, damage in the crawl space, and soot throughout the house. After the loss, our insurance appointed a firm of their choice to take care of the restoration and clean up. That firm was great at ensuring us that the most minimalistic work done was sufficient to restore our house. After living in the house a couple days and still smelling a fire odor throughout the house we started having doubts of what was done. Unsure of the quality of the workmanship, we sought professional advice from an independent agency. We called upon Improcon, and Jehan came to inspect our house as they were well known in our area for their experience and expertise. Upon inspection of our house, Jehan immediately asked us to move out as the air quality we were breathing still had a lot of harmful chemicals. He later pointed out parts of the clean-up work which was done either unsatisfactorily or completely neglected in many cases. Jehan?s knowledge and expertise in his field allowed us to understand all the shortcuts taken by the restoration company, so we could rectify them immediately. His consultation helped us to terminate the services of the first company and get the best people in the business working for us to make sure our home was quickly restored. I?m not sure what we would have done without Jehan?s help. We would highly recommend Improcon and Jehan to anyone who is looking for honest, dedicated, professional, and trust worthy persons to guide them and manage the project as the Owner?s Representative during a loss.
