Everything went really well, on time and on budget. I had a couple plants that did not do well for some reason and they readily replaced them. I love the small planting bed off the patio, it is visible from the dinning room, and the garden lighting is so nice at night. I get lots of compliments on the yard.

It went very well, they have done a good job of maintaining the yard. They definitely are concerned that the yard looks good when they are done and are not just a superficial yard care.

Can't emphasize enough how trouble free this project was. The designs presented perfectly captured what we wanted to do with the yard. Contract documentation was clear, easy to read and specific. Scheduling was well communicated in advance and adhered to through completion. Quality was first class all around. These guys are the real deal. I would use them again in a minute.

The project went quite well. Ahead of the project communication with the GM on start date was great. The crew arrived punctually each day and were extremely hard working (especially considering the heat) and courteous. The work was done to our satisfaction (occasionally requiring some communication with Ryan) and in several areas the work exceeded our expectations. They definitely delivered more than we were expecting and we plan to work with them on future phases. The one hiccup is fast communication with Ryan, the principal architect, it's not as prompt as it could be, but during the busy summer months it's not that surprising. Have already recommended to friends.

Went extremely well. Not only did they help clear out my property but also put in extra work to make things more functional for me as well. We added some things to the project, even last minute and they were able to get it all done. I've also hired them for some additional bigger landscaping projects for not only this year but next as well.

The actual work lasted 7 days. The crew arrived promptly and worked extremely hard in warm weather. They were courteous and handled all of it with little disruption to us. We were given regular updates by Ryan regarding progress of work and anticipated completion. Ryan came through and did a complete walk through of the work before the job ended and then we did our final walk through - everything had been handled to our expectations and in some places exceeded our expectations.

I'm not too happy with that one, not at all, as a matter of fact. They have failed to deliver. Basically, the owner of the company is Ryan. We attempted to scheduled meetings with Ryan through his assistant Cornelia. Apparently, Ryan, who is the business owner, does not do evening meetings with clients, nor does he do weekend meetings with clients. This is a landscape architecture firm. The reason that was given to us by Cornelia was Ryan himself, the owner and the architect, doesn't meet with clients in the evenings or on weekends because he has a young child and he wants family time. That's all fine and good, but if you're into business and you are a business owner and you happen to be in landscape, you need to meet with people, then you need to make yourself available in the evenings or on the weekends, maybe not every single one. If you're out there trying to have new clients, then you've got to get all over that. Well, he just didn't. So that wasn't convenient. Finally, he sent his assistant Cornelia out and I met with her. She walked around the house with me, we talked about ideas, she took pictures of the home and outside of the house where I wanted the hardscape done. Then, about three weeks after that, she and Ryan were able to come out to the house together at a 7:30 am appointment, during the week, because again, they don't do evenings or weekends. My fiancee wanted to be there too. So all four of us could participate in this meeting. They basically gave us about 30 minutes because my fiancee had to leave to go to work. What they first initially presented looked good. It was like the first kind of high-level of the drawings. not anything really detailed. After that meeting, which took place probably now close to two months ago, they were supposed to, within two weeks of that meeting, present revised drawings and a bid. That was probably six to eight weeks ago, we still have not received that. We still have not received the bid or the final proposal. I get this e-mail from Ryan apologizing profusely because I sent him an e-mail and I'm like, "What's up? Where are the final drawings? Where is the proposal?" He sends back this e-mail apologizing, saying that he has taken the job away now from Cornelia and all future contact should be with him directly. He said, "I'll get those final drawings to you and a proposal to you by Wednesday of this week." But on Wednesday, he sends me an e-mail and he says, "Jill, attached are the final drawings and a bid, " and there was no attachment. So I sent him back two e-mails between Wednesday and today, Friday saying, "Hey Ryan, there is no attachment, please resend." I haven't heard out of him, nothing, no words. So, basically, I feel like I purchased a service that I have not received. So I'm not happy about it. I don't think that they have been very professional. They were very nice when they first came out. But, they just failed to deliver. I'm mad about it, as you can tell because I paid for that. Ryan has only come out to the house only once. What I purchased was a reasonable price.

Our backyard was an overwhelming mess of concrete and patchy grass. Ryan started the process by sitting down with us and taking about our preferences and outdoor needs. He gave us some design choices and price points, and we made a decision to proceed. Removing the concrete was a lot of work, and very necessary to the whole design. That was the beginning of about a 6 week job. The crew arrived on time each day. The work was done consistently and there was good communication between all parties involved. We really love our new backyard. The only thing that I'm concerned about is what was planted and how it will "take". It's still hard to know what the overall planting design will be like until everything blooms or grows more. It was an investment that we are pleased with, and now we can't wait until summer so we can live out there!

my experience with this company was not great. First I blew the initial meet. I was at lunch and forgot so I apologized and we set up a second consult. I paid for a 99.00 consult and planning. When the designer came out to measure and give me ideas we talked about what I was looking to do. He told me he would work up some plans and get them back to me. 6 months later I have yet to see any plans. Never heard one more word from them. Yea I wasted 100.00. I guess my job wasn't worth their time.

I cannot say enough good things about the work they did for us. Everyone we talked to and that came to our house was very professional and very good at what they did. During the project a couple of things where looking different than we thought and we wanted to change a few things. They worked with us to make it the way we wanted it. The phrase I heard from everyone at Green Spaces is that they wanted us to be happy and they would do what it took for that to happen. During the project they proved that it was not just a catch phrase, they meant it. We have a large area with pavers. I was expecting some water puddles somewhere with all the pavers when it rains. I have been very impressed with all the rain we have received this winter. The rain flows off and we have no puddles. We will call Green Space Landscaping the next time.

Very easy to work with. Started with a planning meeting, received full color pictures and ideas. Initiated work, great communication through out the project. Very pleased with result :-)

They were wonderful, very helpful and had very good suggestions for the patios.

They were great! Very patient with our many questions, responsive, accommodating ,and the finished product looks amazing! They listened to what we wanted and also provided super helpful suggestions. The crew was very considerate and professional. Would definitely use them again and recommend to a friend.

We were thrilled with the work that Greenspaces did for our yard. From day 1 I was impressed with them - Ryan Sarvis was the principal on our project, and he was always prompt and courteous, and understood my interests in creating our somewhat unique design for our yard. He anticipated needs that we would have related to having kids / dogs, and everything he suggested was exactly in line with what I was thinking. When there were hiccups in the project (we threw some small design changes at them after we started to see it come together, because we didn't fully anticipate everything) they totally rolled with it and were very accomodating. The project was supposed to start in March, and they were able to squeeze us in early in between projects in December. They also completed it in a shorter amount of time than they originally anticipated. We are thrilled. They even went above and beyond - we had a brick path in our alley that we didn't even know about because it was covered with moss/grass, so when they cleaned up the path that they had trod bringing tools, etc through, they uncovered it! They also power washed our stairs without being asked, and laid mulch in our front yard beds which wasn't in the scope of the project (we rehomed a bush there, but otherwise we only hired them for the backyard). One of the guys even blew leaves from our front yard! They made everything look excellent, and were highly communicative the whole way through. I can't wait to hire these guys again to do our front yard.

Estimated time of project start arrived early and we all were ready for the project. The project took longer than I anticipated only because of their professionalism, perfection and attention to detail.I am very pleased with the results.

This was the most frustrating project I have ever been involved with and we own three homes so there have been many projects.. There were many delays, changes in personnel e.g. three teams in three days doing stone work, mo0st of whom didn't understand English. Fortunately, after much frustration, the patio looks good. The patio, stone work, and plantings turned out acceptably after many uncomfortable discussions. . The fence installation was a huge problem. Ryan failed to show up to supervise as planned/promised.. After Ryan promised me three arborvitae would not be trimmed in any way for the fence, the subcontractor cut them severely, back to the trunk, all the way across and up to about five feet high.The man who cut the trees told me Ryan gave them permission in a phone call. They look hideous. I agreed to try a vine across the fence in front of them, when he said nothing else would work and it would take five years for the trees to grow back,but it looks very bad. He said by e-mail afterwards that since I agreed to try the vine he wouldn't do anything else (replace the trees) unless we paid. Next problem: his unsupervised sub-contractor began installing the wrong style railings, unlike those pictured in Ryan's planning photo. Bolts were place in the cement and had to be cut off afterward, leaving ends showing in the cement. Ryan did absorb the cost of his mistake after a confrontational discussion with him which was not fun., ( Ryan tends to forget what he said in earlier discussions and usually blamed me, the customer.) The fence contractor told me the bolts could be covered with grout but Ryan pooh-poohed that saying they would flake off. In the end , I accepted the bolt situation as unfixable. and forgiveable. Next,the plumbing for the sprinklers was placed where a tree was planned to give neighbors privacy, prohibiting the new tree installation( separate tree issue). It seemed super-difficult to move all the plumbing so I forgave that mistake.. Also, their finance procedure is very annoying, requiring six different payments which makes it feel like you are constantly being nagged for money. I did refuse the last two payments until the work was done which felt better.., All in all, there were many unpleasant communication problems with Ryan. Resolving the differences between what was verbally planned and what really happened was very frustrating. But the tree destruction is unforgiveable.. I would never work with him again and recommend that potential customers find someone else,who's communication is more reliable.

Everything went well from the planning stage on. Ryan designed a great project, stayed with in my budget, listened to me about the things I liked and didn't like, and gave good guidance about the few things I was not sure about. Ryan was very good about keeping in touch with me and explain what would be done each day. The work crew was very professional and you could tell they were proud of the work they do. Their arrival was always timely, they were great about cleaning up after themselves. The front yard is looking great, and I am very pleased. When I am out watering the new plantings, several people have stopped by to say what a good job it was and how nice it looks. I look forward to seeing it in the spring and enjoying it this next summer. I'm hoping to do some landscaping in the back yard and will certainly have Ryan and his crew do that work.

The hardscaping was done well, we are satisfied with how it turned out. However, the quality of the landscaping was poor.They neglected to do basic things, like proper spacing of the plants and, critically, they neglected to ensure the soil was sloping away from the walls to prevent water damage. We re-levelled the soil ourselves and will have to hire a new landscaper to fix aesthetics. The worst part was the service. In the beginning everything was great! But two weeks in they kind of forgot about us. They left things half done and it was difficult to work with them to find a time for them to come in and finish. They left a portable bathroom in my driveway more than a month - meanwhile nobody was coming in to do any work. Towards the end we were so unsatisfied (and vocal about it) that Ryan got rude and passive aggressive in his behavior to us. We had liked working with him at the start (when he was in sales mode), but towards the end he left a very bad taste in our mouth. We suspended our maintenance contract with them in the end. Particularly when you are shelling out tens of thousands of dollars, you deserve much better service.

We're very happy with Green Spaces Landscaping. Ryan Sarvis really listened to what we wanted for our yard (the main requirement being that it be easy to maintain) and made helpful suggestions as to what would work best for us. We found the mock-up very useful as it gave us an idea of what to expect. There was quite a wait between acceptance of the proposal and start of the work (about 2 1/2 months), but Ryan was upfront about that from the beginning, and we were fine with that. The actual landscaping was done very efficiently in less than two days. Our yard looks fantastic and it should be easy to maintain - exactly what we asked for.

The project went as well as we could have hoped for. Ryan was a pleasure to do business with. The project started and was completed on time, and he promptly addressed all of our questions, comments, and concerns as the project evolved. We couldn't be more pleased with the experience and final product.

This project is for our condominium association. This review is my personal experience. Ryan Sarvis met with our committee who outlined our objectives, ideas and budget. He subsequently drew up three concept designs and presented them to the board. We selected one with a couple of alterations, met with Ryan and his project manager and finalized the design setting the the start date and time for completion. Ryan executed the project to perfection- on time and under budget. Ryan is outstanding to work with. He attentively listened to what we wanted and carefully drew up proposals that reflected precisely our ideas and goals. His crews were polite and worked very neatly, careful to clean up whatever mess was inevitably created. The raised stone wall was built with proper drainage, packed gravel base and footing, each stone level precisely leveled and glued, and the top row was perfectly cut as to be virtually seamless even around the many curves in the wall design. His selection of plants were beautiful and met our requirements that they be drought tolerant. The topsoil he brought in held water well even though Seattle had record high temperatures. The top coat of mulch lent a natural, established look to the entire project. Several of our owners have held family gatherings over this summer and all have complimented the association over the transformation of the area. Well done, Ryan. Thanks for an outstanding job!

Excellent service and workmanship from beginning to end. Initial design was excellent and provided us a visual of what our yard could become before we started. Ryan Sarvis is easy to work with and never holds back in providing useful information or answering any questions we had. He really listens and hears what you want. I had other bids but the prices here were either the same or more costly, therefore, the initial design I purchased from Green Spaces (and later received credit for) are what gave me confidence to move forward with them. They incorporated my new BBQ into the seat bench and the finished project looks better than I expected. The side yard where the wood retaining wall was built is no longer a messy pile of bark - but is now a nice, small sanctuary for plants that contrast against the fence. What a difference. The crew members were always polite and worked very hard. I will not hesitate to hire them again for any future landscaping needs. In addition, I hired them to also perform a one-time overall maintenance of our front plants/trees and received more than I expected. It's nice to finally work with a company that goes above and beyond. My advice to anybody looking for landscaping work is to be patient and plan weeks/months ahead - don't set unrealistic expectations - timelines can take awhile from initial meeting to finished project.

I set up the appointment, then forgot about it. Dude was nice about it. We made another appoinment and he came and did some measurements. He promised a design for some decks, but never heard back from them. Kind of a waste of 100 bucks.

The availability was a problem. It took them a long time to get here. After the evaluation a person was supposed to come with a review and a final design, but there was always a delay when it came time for the review and final design.
