Excellent experience from beginning to end! Jessica is the owner of CertaPro Painters Eastside. She was amazing to work with. They sent out a designer to help me pick colors, were flexible when we had HOA delays, did a great job, and the owner came by during and after the project to make sure we were happy. Clear bid/contract. Angie's list discount. Wish every contractor would be so easy to work with.

Jason was very professional and prompt upon the bid meeting, and getting the bid to us. The scheduling was quick, ahead of our schedule, and they put a large crew on our job to beat the rain coming the next day. The job was professionally completed in one day, with a 5 man crew and very well done. The bid was below the other bid's, and we were happy with how well it came out. We also added a few other things such as some outdoor benches, and a storage shed that were completed at a fair price.

Excellent paint selection technology. Excellent work. However, project manager and subcontracted work teams need better communication. We asked for and paid for extraordinary trim painting but that was not initially communicated to the team. Mention what was missed, inclusive excessive grouting bleeding through in just one location, but only had the trim painting corrected.

The quality of the work was generally very good and we are pleased. Just a few things that had to be pointed out after the job was complete. We feel that they could have done a better job of keeping the job site clean as they worked and a better job of cleaning up at the end of the project.

We used CertaPro for the exterior of our home a few years ago and the interior just recently. Outstanding professionalism and attention to detail. Jessica was available any time we had any questions and was very accommodating when we needed to change something. The crew was courteous and conscientious. Wonderful experience!!

First off, we are happy with the end results, but the road to get there was a bumpy ride. CertaPro does make a good first impression. Getting the estimate, completing the paperwork, and getting the job scheduled was a smooth process. Once the job started, things went downhill sharply. CertaPro subcontracted the work out to Luis from Express Painting Contractors who then had a temporary employee, Reuben, do most of the actual work. This created an awful game of telephone where instructions given to CertaPro had to be communicated to Luis and then to Reuben. Unsurprisingly, this led to many preventable mistakes. The first day did not go well. Luis showed up 25 minutes after the scheduled 2-hour window ended. Luis had an earlier appointment and was actually early according to his schedule. This was likely Mike’s fault, CertaPro’s production manager. When I called him, he did not seem to care about this nor did he apologize. The project was supposed to take around 4 days, 2 days for the interior and 2 for the exterior. It ended up spanning across 7 days due to many mistakes: 1. After the first day, Reuben was the primary worker. The schedule kept slipping because Luis would tell Reuben that he would come by later each day to help or to drop off more paint and then repeatedly failed to do so. 2. The wrong paint was picked up for the interior hallway. I caught it before they started painting, and fortunately I already had enough of the correct paint left over for them to use. 3. They lost most of an entire day due to painting one of the bathrooms with the wrong sheen. 4. They missed behind both toilets. 5. Part of the downstairs bathroom ceiling and the window sill were missed. Luis told Reuben that the he had painted them when he actually hadn’t, so Reuben did not paint them until I pointed them out repeatedly. 6. The front door trim was painted with the wrong color and had to be repainted. After the job started, the only communication I had with CertaPro were 2 brief phone calls with Mike. This only happened because I contacted him. I did get a call from the owner, Jessica, which I missed and an online survey after the job was completed and paid for. What was supposed to be a 4-day job became a 7-day job. I was home almost the entire time the work was being done and was available to answer any questions the painters had. If this is the best CertaPro could offer when I was around to oversee the work, I can’t imagine how much worse the job would have gone had I been absent. Reuben generally did do a good job and was very nice, but he received very poor direction and very little support from Luis. I can imagine that some of the positive reviews here came from times of the year when CertaPro was less busy or had used a superior subcontractor. I have used other painters before CertaPro, and based on how rough this job went, I would definitely not hire them again nor recommend that anyone else hire them; there are much better crews out there to work with.

This was a very smooth experience. Estimator was great at explaining the whole process and was very organized. Prices were comparable to other highly rated companies here, but not cheap. It is probably possible to find cheaper people but the quality was worth it for us. Our favorite part was the crew that came out - they were hyper professional, and it was clear they had worked together for a long time and had mutual trust and respect that you often lack - no arguments, no yelling, no problems. It was super smooth. And when doing the walkthrough afterwards it was obvious how thorough they had been - there were almost no spots that needed touching up. Super work

This was an anticipated two week job and it finished on time. They even came one Saturday to make sure it didn't run over. There were two gentlemen who did the actual work. I have been remodeling my home for over a year, and they were hands down the most punctual, respectful, clean, and courteous crew I have had the pleasure of dealing with. The fact that we were living there while it was being done (kids plus a crazy dog), and they had to touch every single room, it was unbelievable how easy they made it. Hands down would recommend them to anyone looking to get work done.

We have worked with Jessica and her team at CertaPro several other times, and they just couldn't have been better. The attention to detail in every aspect of the job from the first visit to do a bid, to the scheduling process, to the team that did the painting all exceeded our expectations -- and we have VERY high expectations. The house looks brand new. Our project had multiple colors and lots of cut in's and each line is perfectly straight. The crew took care of everything, moved the furniture, covered everything very well (and we have all new furniture), and they kept the house very clean through the process. They even completed a day earlier than expected -- we work in construction and it is very rare when that happens! They were happy to work around our very complicated schedule, were careful around the baby's nap times (thank you!), and their level of professionalism was the highest I've ever seen. And the skill of their painting crew is just incredible. Per their suggestion we used a color consultant and we are SO happy that we did -- the color is exactly what we wanted. If you want your house painted, just call these guys. Really.

They were responsive, professional, fast to schedule the work and great onsite. Orlando and his crew were very good and very polite and efficient. The walls Look beautiful!

CertaPro Painters of Eastside did a fabulous job painting our house. We were not "easy" clients, but they worked with us very attentively, and the owner of this company was very hands-on and understanding. The painters and their lead person were very professional and courteous, and their work was outstanding. The house looks fresh and new, and we would definitely ask this company to paint for us again in the future. We highly recommend them!

We have had our house painted three times and CertaPro's quality of work exceeded our expectations. A quality, number one company. I will recommend them to anyone.

They did the extra little items as well as a great job painting the house. I would highly recomend.

CertaPro Painters Eastside did an excellent job, from the first bid call by Steve B., office contact from Jennifer G., to the excellent work by Ellie and Sondro. There was prompt follow-up from the initial proposal. Once the bid was accepted, it moved nicely. I was always reminded of what came next. I scored with the paint crew they sent. They arrived early every day and worked non-stop except for lunch (or the badly needed water break due to the 90+ degree weather). The paint crew was very respectful and by each day's end made sure I had the ability to go out my back door to take care of our pet's needs. All windows were covered to the extent that I had no paint on them. Extreme care was taken with my landscaping and mature shrubs. No problems there. We're very pleased with the job that they did and we'd hire them again.

Without question this company was the most professional service I have ever hired to work on our house. From the initial bid to house prep, job completion and follow-up inspection, this service was A +++++.

It went off well, Jason (who did the initial assessment) and both the technicians were responsive and responsible. My only complaint is that the manager for the job never actually turned up to inspect, also in my contract I had specifically asked for handyman services and I reminded them again and again of the job but I got absolute no response from them. The minimum they needed to do was to tell me they can't or they don't have anyone, but not responding seemed unprofessional.

We just had our house painted by Certa Pro of Eastside and it was the worst experience ever working with a "profesional" company. It likely goes without saying that when you spend $6,200 to have work professionally done on your home then you expect that work to be completed professionally and without much hassle/stress. Details of how these expectations were missed are detailed below. 1) Communication regarding work schedule was severely lacking. Workers showed up or didn't show up without any advance notice. 2) Prep work before painting was severely lacking. When we did the first final walk through we realized they never properly prepped the house. The old paint was not scraped, sanded, etc. Instead they just painted over the old paint with new paint. When we raised the issue they tried to "fix" it by cutting a slit in the new paint and re-caulking the old paint to the side of the house. This was eventually rectified after we threatened not to pay our remaining balance - but only on the sunny exposure side of our house. 3) Very unprofessional results. When we did our first walkthrough we found the following issues: -The crew got house paint on some of our house bricks -The crew got trim paint on our wood stained fence -The crew got house paint on random spots all around the foundation of the house -The crew got house, trim and front door paint on various areas of our landscaping -There was trim paint on body parts of the house -There was body paint on trim areas of the house -There was body paint on multiple window frames -There was trim paint on our sliding door frame -Trim work was very sloppy - wavy and uneven edges -Drip edges for our windows were handled poorly. Some were painted, some were not. The ones that were painted were done very sloppy. Most if not all of these issues were eventually fixed after multiple attempts. 4) Garage doors. Initially the crew just painted over the garage door seals and onto the garage doors leaving approximately 2" around the perimeter of the garage doors unpainted. Every time the doors were opened and closed friction caused bits of paint to smudged/chip off revealing spots of white. Very obvious since our doors were being painted dark gray. When we raised the issue with them they just kept touching up the paint leaving a thick build up in various spots. We eventually got them to paint the entire garage doors but only after threatening not to pay our final balance. The issue remains with areas of gray paint smudging/chipping off the garage doors - our lack of confidence in their ability to properly handle this means we will be trying to resolve this issue ourselves. 5) Cleanliness//Safety of site The crew was supposed to clean up the site each night when they left. Each night after the painters left we did a quick tour of the backyard to ensure it was safe for our dog. A few times it was not: - Old boards and nails from carpentry work were left behind We not only had to clean it up and dispose of it ourselves but we were still charged a $30 disposal fee. -One night we found an open blade knife/razor knife laying on the ground -On at least one occasion an open paint can was left on the ground 6) Final payment and walkthhrough After the final walkthrough I was handed final paperwork including final balance due. I paid the amount provided but then was contacted that I had not paid the carpentry fees. When I questioned why the final balance hadn't included the carpentry fees I was just offered an apology for the confusion. 7) Warranty Another frustrating thing is that throughout this process they mentioned a few times that we had a 2- year warranty so if anything happens during those 2 years they would come back out and resolve the issue. From our perspective if we cannot get the job done correctly and before we make final payment then we might as well consider that warranty to be null and void. In our assessment, we will never be able to get CertaPro Painters back out to our house to resolve an issue we have with their poor workmanship.

From the first consultation to a great painter, they were really professional. I felt as though I was in good hands.

CertaPro did a great job. The project manager kept me informed of when they would be able to start my house and of any details. The crew that came out to paint the house was excellent. They worked fast, but were very detailed in the work that they did. They were very polite and even my neighbor commented that she did not ever hear them working, even though the first day they worked until 7 to get the job done faster. And they had started at 8 am sharp!! On the first day, the owner came and introduced herself and introduced me to the crew and then did a walkthrough with me to make sure they understood exactly what my needs were. Then a walkthrough was done after the painting was completed. After the initial painting was done, the painters took their time to go around the house to make sure every detail was covered and that there were no uncovered spots. They spent three hours on my door alone because the prep was tough and I had picked a dark color, so they wanted to make sure it was done right. And it was. We are very, very happy with the result.

It was not great prep work so just put a new paint top of old one.

CertaPro was very professional, and always on time. The process of estimation, through the contract signing, and painting was easy. I felt like I was in good hands. I would definitely hire them again. I had a couple of neighbors ask who we hired, because they were impressed with how hard the painters worked and how diligent they were.

Extremely well. Estimate was prompt, thorough and in the range of other bids. Communications about all aspects of the work was simple and clear, be it email or phone or onsite. They offered a color consulting service at a minimal cost, part of which was deductible from the job price. Though we didn't use the exact colors recommended by the consultant, it prompted us to a very good result. The workers worked consecutive, long days. They were professional, non-obtrusive, pleasant to deal with and very skilled--from pressure washing to prep to painting. I cannot imagine getting better service that we received from CertaPro.
