Everything went great.
Description of Work: Rebuilt a sunroom. Everything went great. All the workers were very professional and courteous. After each day all the work area was cleaned up and ready f or the next day. All my questions were answered. I was informed of problems discovered during demolition. There were no unexpected charges unless we authorized it. I am very pleased and I plan to hired them again in the future

Description of Work: Time frame for contact was Nov/Dec 2015. Our need was insulating our attic. We called and were told the person who did that was out and they would call us back. They never did!! We tried to call them back several times with no answer. | | We ended up with referrals from Puget Sound Energy, 3 responded. The only one who actually went up into the attic before estimate, we hired and were very pleased with their work. Price was reasonable. We notice a huge improvement in house comfort!!!

We have no record of ever having any correspondence with this Angie's List customer. The phone number listed on our account is only answered by me, the owner, and there is no one else that handles bids and customer relations. If I had spoken to Ms. [Member name removed], I certainly would never have told her that the person who does that work would call her back... because I am that person. it is great to hear that you found someone who handled your project professionally and to your satisfaction. Unfortunately, I think you have us confused with another company. We take great pride in providing all potential customers with timely service and after receiving this review we investigated with great concern. We have no record of any contact with this person.

Thomas was able to come in and provide a crew to repair extensive damages in a rental unit. Unfortunately, the extent of the damages prevented an accurate estimate and most of the work was done on "Time and Materials" basis. Thomas made every effort to find the best quality material at the best price - using discounts when ever available. He made every effort to meet dates, even when the weather took it's toll on travel conditions throughout the state. He maintained good control of his crew and assigned the numbers required to meet the deadline to get the property back into a condition where it could be rented. He even suggested that I contact my insurance company to see how much of the damage might be covered - a good recommendation since they did cover a portion of the cost.
Description of Work: Removed carpet, replace with wood flooring; drywall repair; interior sealing and painting; replacement of kitchen cabinets; replace commodes; replace bathroom fixtures; repaired exterior siding; replace porch post; put in concrete section for driveway; repaired and replaced interior and exterior doors.

After calling more than six plumbers in the area, Thomas was one of the few willing to come out on a Friday evening. The valve to our main water line was spraying water and we were afraid to let it go for even one more day. Thomas kept his word and was at our door in 30 minutes. It was apparent that after meeting Thomas we made a very good choice. He is very personable, takes pride in his work, and has a work ethic that seems to be rare these days. He repaired the valve in three hours and returned the next day when it was light to inspect his work and fill the hole at the work site. He even hosed down the tarp he piled dirt on and replaced my shovel (his was on his partners trailer) even though I insisted it was already cracked. We are pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Replaced the valve on our main water line. Excavated the work site and returned it to original condition.

My husband wanted to hire Thomas right after meeting him - even before seeing the estimate - because of Thomas' personality and obvious commitment to his work. The estimate was very reasonable. Thomas indicated that he could start anytime, at our convenience, and he did. He said he and his guys would show up at 8a on Tuesday, and they were there early. Everyone in the crew was very respectful, hard-working, helpful, courteous, and punctual. They offered to work around my husband and twins' sleeping schedules and helped me with things unrelated to the actual job, such as hauling in some used furniture I had bought. The impact on our lives was minimal considering the scope of the project. The entire work area was walled off with plastic sheeting, and waterproof floor paper was laid down to protect the entry way during the remodel. The work progressed according to schedule and was completed in the estimated time frame. Throughout the process, Thomas kept us apprised of what was going to happen and when. The room turned out great; it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the house and seems like it's always been there. After the job was done, we mentioned that our porch light was broken, and Thomas repaired it free of charge. It was such a pleasure working with Thomas and his crew - special thanks to Jay, Joe, Anthony, and Mark. This was the first remodel I've ever dealt with, and I was expecting a nightmare. Thanks to Thomas and his crew, it was actually an exciting and happy experience.
Description of Work: Framed in part of great room to create new room with closet. Installed insulation for noise abatement. Hung dry wall, taped, painted new walls. Stained and installed custom 40" door. Ran electrical, phone and cable lines into new room and installed outlets. Installed vent fan and ceiling fan. Repaired linen closet's bi-fold doors. Framed in master bedroom's french doors, then stained and installed a single custom 40" door. Painted and installed molding in all three areas.. Patched up holes in walls throughout house and touched up the paint.

While the crew was working at our home, our hot water heater began to leak. Water seeped under the door of our furnace/storeroom and wet the carpet in our family room. Thomas' crew pitched in and helped us remove the many items we had in the store room, and extracted water from the carpet. Meanwhile, Thomas procured a new water heater for us and stayed late on a Friday evening installing it. We were very happy to have hot water over the weekend. On Monday, we noticed that the new water heater was defective and had begun to leak. Thomas brought out and installed another water heater and returned the defective one to the store. We were very impressed with the work done by Cascade Valley Construction. They were professional and courteous and went "beyond the call of duty".

The whole process was great. Thomas came to an Association meeting prior to starting the project to explain to all owners what was going to be done and answer any questions. Throughout the whole process all workers onsite were courteous to all home owners and worked with everyones schedule to get access to our balconies. Communication was great through the whole project. Whenever we had a question Thomas was available by phone and either him or one of his workers would check in daily about progress and what time we would expect them the next day. From the initial bid to the project completion every this was easy with Thomas and his crew at Cascade Valley Construction. We will definitely be calling them for all future projects around our condo building.
Description of Work: Cascade Valley Construction did multiple jobs as part of a single project on a 3 story condo building. They repaired welds and reinforced the railings on our 8 balconies. They also added support beams and replaced concrete steps on 2 stairways. The main scope of the project was to replace over 300 sq ft of vinyl siding that slopes off of the roof all around the building. Thomas suggested a new metal siding that would last much longer than what was currently on the building. When removing the old siding they found that there was dry rot on the plywood below due to water leakage, not surprising due to the age of the building. They were able to source the materials and replace the wood at a decent price without adding much time to the project.

I could not have been more pleased with the experience. Thomas Yoney gave a cursorary inspection of the problem and knew exactly what the fix was. He cut me a deal on the materials as he had some in stock from a previous job. He was never anything other than friendly and professional. His crew showed up on time and I was billed for the time it took. A great experience overall. Cascade Valley Construction is where my next call will go.

Thomas is amazing. During the bid process he spent countless hours of his time going over the possible ways of building our patio cover. Thomas came up with a plan that would allow us to not only have a patio cover that matches the house perfectly but would be up to code so that if we wanted to turn the area into another living space we would just have to put up walls. The workmanship was flawless. Our house was built in the late 50's and the new patio addition blends into the rest of the house as if it was built during the time period. During the process of building Thomas spent time each day explaining the work he wanted to accomplish for the day and answered all questions even down to type of beams and brackets being used and why. Thomas also worked his schedule around my kids making sure he didn't start work until they were already up getting ready for school. Just one of the many steps he takes on his own accord to make sure the building process is a smooth and comfortable for your family. If your looking for someone who is a perfectionist and takes their profession as a craft and not a job you don't need to look any further than Thomas. I also have to add that his philosophy and work ethic transcends to his son and work crew as well who were professional and friendly. Thank you Thomas you made the whole experience fun and exciting.
Description of Work: Had an old patio cover taken out and new patio cover put in that incorporated truss's and roofing. Also had patio ceiling elevated higher from previous and new beams.

We had Thomas over to check on an unusual mark on the interior wall, under our window. When we broke into the wall that's when we found water damage, dry rot, and mold. Upon investigation we came to the conclusion that the siding was improperly installed when the house was built, and would need to be replaced. Thomas used the best materials for the job, and anything we asked for we got, even if it set him back because the parts needed to be ordered. He kept us up to date with all that was happening at all times. When the old siding was removed we also found all the windows had been installed improperly. Thomas fixed all water damage, re-framed windows that needed it, and installed new ones. The insulation was of very low quality so he also removed and reinstalled a higher rated insulation for us. The original builders had installed plastic inside the walls directly behind the drywall. Thomas and his son removed this also. He reran our cable lines inside the walls for three of our rooms so that the outlets were on the correct sides of the room, thus eliminating exposed wires inside our home. Not only did he do a wonderful job on our home, he worked around our young children's schedules. They took a late lunch just so the girls could get their naps in; they started started late in the morning and worked through the hottest part of the summer days just so the girls wouldn't wake up to early to the sounds of construction. Thomas and his son Marc were a joy to work with. They are always upbeat and easy to talk to; they didn't mind taking extra time to explain what they were doing and why. By the end of the summer, and the end of the job, Thomas and Marc had not only become our go-to guys, but they felt like part of the family. My favorite memory is of Thomas replacing our back patio door and talking with our three year old who was giving him an all day lecture on all-things princess and Tinker bell. They also replace our fencing on the front of the house. It was in bad shape and Thomas found new panels on sale for us, then he built us a new gate also. The fence was done for us free of charge along with tile work in our kitchen to fix this back splash. They put in new window molding inside our house and it is gorgeous! Our house is now so much more solid our energy bills have already dropped. Not to mention it's the best looking home on the block! We had Cascade Valley Construction replace the siding on our house along with several other upgrades, which all turned out perfect. Thomas Yoney (and son Mark on this job) worked with us closely to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted, and we were very confident in their work throughout the entire process. These guys worked hard everyday and were really just nice to work with. We were very happy with Thomas’s craftsmanship and all of the precision he puts into his work, both inside and out. We will be going back to Cascade Valley Construction again for all future home improvements and repairs.,

Our contractor's name was Thomas Yoney and we can definitely recommend him to others for the following reasons: 1. He was prompt in coming to see our place and gave us a detailed estimate that was very clear in listing exactly what amounts would be charged for what services. 2. Once he set up a working schedule, he stuck too it. We could always depend on him to be there when he said he would. The only time he had to break his schedule was when unexpected extremely hot weather made pouring concrete ill-advisable. 3. He made sure that the work was done to our satisfaction and finished as perfectly as possible. His crew did a great job and we love our patio. 4. He (and his crew) were courteous and professional in their manner while on the job. 5. When the crew was done, they cleaned up the work site very well. We would definitely call on him again for our home remodeling jobs.
Description of Work: First, previous landscaping around the house was removed. This included 1100 square feet of river rock and raised planting beds. There was A LOT of river rock, and removal of the beds required removal of creosote - treated railroad ties as well as soil. Along the way, a large bush that had sent roots under our house was also pulled out. In addition to this, an adjacent bank that was long, steep and overgrown with English Ivy, poison oak, hazelnut trees, and blackberry bushes was cleared right down to the soil. And this was just the demolition! Next, that 1100 square feet was smoothed and graded to make a subtle (to the eye) but practical slope so that excess rainwater would drain down our hill and away from the house. In addition, drains were inserted in the ground for the same purpose. Finally, concrete colored a medium tan was poured over the 1100 square feet to make a delightful new patio. He also made us a curb at one end of the patio so that gravel from our driveway wouldn't drift onto the concrete.

Once more Thomas, has gone above the call of duty in helping with our 106 year farm house. The pipe finally rusted thru and was allowing waste water to into the yard and back under the house, it was a mess. Called Thomas and he was here within a few hours driving from Albany to Cornelius on late Friday, the call was placed around 4pm. He knew what had to be done. His crew arrived on time Saturday morning and were digging within minutes, they don't wast anytime. They found the pipe and the repairs were made. Some important notes that I would like to point out. 1. The call was made very late on a Holiday weekend and Thomas came right out. 2. The crew was top notched and worked very hard, was polite and careful. 3. They took great care around our pets and son, even allowing him to watch from a safe distance. 4. Thomas knowledge of older homes proved to be very important, great care was taking while working around brick foundation which I was very cornered about. 5. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away all the garbage. 6. Thomas took the time and explained to me all the steps that they were doing and why. He listened to my concerns about the old foundation and put my mind at ease. 7. The job was done on a Holiday weekend and did not cost me the arm and the leg I thought it would. One guy wanted $300 just to come and look at it ! Thomas and his crew are by far the best, I am to the point now were Thomas is going to be my first call on all my future projects !

They have done several projects over several years. They have done cement work and remodeled interior doors. The deck is absolutely gorgeous. They did a new roof on it and it involved special construction for the weight of the deck so it didn't rest on the roof. I have a mobile home and it won't support the weight of the roof and deck. The experience was wonderful. Tom is a professional and he did the work beautifully and it is done to code. He measured everything very carefully so I didn't buy extra materials that I couldn't afford. There was no waste. The price was very reasonable. The quality is excellent. Everything was done ahead of schedule. He cleaned up well.

They showed up just as described with a crew and every tool they needed. They immediately began work taking extra care laying all the dirt on plastic as to not make a mess. As they jackhammered the concrete they cleaned every scrap up and laid the drain just as described. Through several of the steps Tom showed my what they were doing and explained it perfectly. The concrete sealant and patch work was amazing and all of it took only 6 hours. They left everything good as new and even replanted some bushes they dug up for the trench. If we weren't moving we would use them for all of our work.

He is terrific and if we had the money, we would have hired him. His bid was twice what the others? were and we couldn?t go for that. Other than that, he seemed to be very thorough and knowledgeable. He was very very prompt and thorough. He got the subcontractors out, got the place marked marked, and he was really gung-ho and ready to do it. We truly appreciated everything about him but the bid was just too high for us to proceed. As a result of his bid, we scaled back what we were going to do.

Thomas was always very professional, punctual and respectful. After each of the five days of work on the project, he and his crew would clean up everything and leave things safe for our young children. We are definitely happy with the work. From speaking with Thomas it is apparent that he has been in the construction business for many years and is able to do almost any type of project. This was a very positive experience for us and we definitely recommend Thomas and Cascade Valley construction.
Description of Work: We hired Thomas to remodel the loft area of our brand new house into a 4th bedroom. We also wanted to add some safety features to our stairwell since we have very young children, and Thomas came up with a beautiful plan. He is now finished and he did a fantastic job. His work looks exactly like the original builders work including the trim, texture and paint, and someone would never know that the work was not original.

I have contracted Thomas Yoney for several projects. Every contract was filled in a timely manner, and with the utmost skills required. He removed two leaking sky-lights, repairing the roof, and ceilings, and restoring the interior to pristine conditions. Mr. Yoney designed and constructed a decorative retaining curb around my extensive garden areas, using his own curved and crafted moldings for the cement. The results are beautiful. Mr. Yoney rebuilt my south and west facing deck using sun blocking materials making the deck usable in the hottest of days. I have been able to use it more this past summer than in the past nine years. He is economical with building materials, and accurate with labor costs. His extensive knowledge of home maintenance and repair has been invaluable for both large and small projects around my home. I can highly recommend Mr. Yoney's work for any job he undertakes.
Description of Work: 1. Removed existing porch and constructed a 20 x 16 porch with new foundation, new roof, new gutters, waist high privacy wall with sun block screening above, and painted to match existing trim on house. 2. Removed 2 skylights, repaired roof, installed insulation, patched interior drywall, textured and painted to match existing interior. 3. Built approximately 555 feet of decorative concrete curbing. Constructed custom curved steps and landings, and recycle bin storage pad. 4. Repaired interior doors and hardware, repaired storage shed, designed and built custom arbor, installed indoor/outdoor carpet on front porch. 5. Removed damaged trees, trimmed, relocated and removed shrubbery, leveled lawn with topsoil, installed grass barrier and decorative rock 6. Pressure washed sidewalks, driveway and house. Pressure washed and water treated front and back porch/deck. 7. Repaired existing siding and installed new where necessary.

Tomas is the very professional. My wife has health issues and Tom worked around all her concerns. His work is neat and he does not waste time, he fully explains what is needed and why and is very clear on pricing. The work he did is beautiful.

Thomas came talked to us and asked us our vision of what we wanted and totaly understood what we were trying for, other contactors did not understatnd why we want to "Bring Down" the bathroom by making look old. He gave us a free estimate, quoting a very reasonable price and was able to stay very close to that estimate, coming in $400 below. He tailored his work schedule around our needs and was able to complete the project on deadline. He was very careful to keep chemicals and tools out of the reach of our inquistive young son and even allowed him to help with the project. He was timely and able to complete the project within a week. We look forward to more projects with him in the future

Removed vinyl flooring, replaced subflooring from toilet leak, laid new tile with custom tinted grout. Repalce bath tub hardware with early-style fixtures. Minor electric work done. Added safety rail, adjustable shower and bathtub seat
