 + -1 moreDaryl was quick to respond to my request and came out to do a walkthrough. I was sent my quote in a timely manor and we accepted his bid. We had a delay caused by our roof repair and Daryl was great to work with on our revised schedule. They got the work done to work with the rest of our schedule of repairs. Everybody that worked on the project from South Hill Drywall was great.
Description of Work: Needed a complete rock & texture of a bedroom with a vaulted ceiling.

Description of Work: This was my first true disappointment with Angie's List. Daryl (the owner of South Hill Drywall) forgot to show up to our first appointment, and asked me to call him the night before to remind him about our second appointment. I thought that was strange...then we finally met and it got worse. He showed up and acted like I'd be lucky if he was willing to do my job. Apparently he does not prime or paint, he doesn't really have time for projects as big as mine (mine is a 900 square foot space), and he's very busy and important. He tried to get me to tell him who else was bidding the job and, when I wouldn't tell him, he acted like those other contractors must not be very good because they actually wanted the work. My electrician heard the whole thing and was appalled at his lack of professionalism. Daryl emailed a few days later and said he was too busy and wouldn't be bidding the job. Honestly, it was such an odd experience, I never would've hired him anyway. I'm pleased to say that I'd already hired someone else (if you can't remember a simple appointment, how could I expect you to remember to show up for the job). It was, however, an insulting waste of my time.

Description of Work: These guys were great! They fixed my wall and while it was drying, they went around and fixed all my wall dings for no additional charge. They were very nice and did an amazing job.

 + -1 moreI had a pipe burst and to fix it a 1'X1' hole was cut in my living room wall. A firend recommended South Hill Drywall. I called and the y came right out and gave me a bid. They scheduled for a few day later and were right on time! The fixed everything perfectly! They are very friendly.
Description of Work: I had a 1'X1' hole in my living room wall that they fixed perfectly! You can't even tell it was there. They also fixed the wall around a large window that former repairmen screwed up. Again it was flawless! Their texturing was perferc! They were so nice that they went all around my house patching and texturing all the dings I had. My house looks brand new now!
