Ranger Heating & Cooling

It went excellent, it happened right after I left to go to Tennessee, so I wasn't there when they did the install, they came over yesterday to do a walk through with me when I got back.

The consultant for the estimate, Jeremy was on time for the appointment. He was thorough, with NO pressure sales. When I had questions over the next few days, Jeremy was very prompt to answer my emails. I had two other bids, and Ranger was very comparable. Ranger handled the PSE rebate and deducted it off the bill, rather than having to submit the paperwork myself and wait for the rebate, which was a plus. The installers were prompt, exceptionally professional and did a great job with clean up afterwards. The install looked great. We selected a single stage gas furnace that was priced in the middle, neither high nor low end. Our heating bill is drastically reduced with the 95% efficiency Trane. Our old furnace was 20+ years old, so there definitely was room for improvement. I highly recommend Ranger at every step of the process. My only regret is not doing it sooner!

n. A new tenant is moving into an unoccupied house we own. She had family staying there the night before move-in (after notifying us) and they informed us that the furnace was producing no heat. we contacted the gas company and they sent a man out to check, and he confirmed that not only was the igniter bad, but when he did the mandatory safety check he discovered that the heat exchanger was cracked, rendering the furnace dangerous to use. We called up Angies List on the computer and started going down the list of heating and cooling companies; Ranger said that they had had a cancellation the next day, and could a rep over to give an estimate that afternoon, with install the next morning! Jeremy came over for the estimate, arriving a little earlier than the original estimate. He looked over the installation site, and gave us our options, including advising us that the two more expensive models were probably not necessary for a relatively small house. The paperwork was signed, and an appointment was made for approximately 9 AM the next morning, with estimated time of completion at 1 PM. At a bout 8 Am we received a call that the crew was on their way, and would it be a problem if they started early? We called the tenant's sister (staying in house to help with move) and she said that they would be up and about, and the quicker the better, so we said "sure." At about 10:30, we got a call that the work was complete--2 and a half hours early! As we arrived we were met in the driveway by Brandon. He took us inside, putting on boot covers before entering the home. He explained to us exactly what was done, including what older parts were reused and which new ones were installed; he also made sure we knew where the literature/manual was stored, and the service sticker. The work area looked vary clean to us, and the tenant's sister confirmed that they had been vary careful to lay down floor covers, and to clean up after the job was done. (The dogs also seemed to be happy with Brandon.) While we recognize that we got lucky to have been able to find a business that was able to get us into their schedule so quickly, we are very happy with the work done and would definitely recommend them to any friends and neighbors who needed a furnace or water heater installed.

The two young men who did all of the work were so professional and quick. Not to mention great at making sure I knew how to operate the system. Accolades to their company for having such professional and respectful young men working for them. Not to mention the office staff who called after to make sure all was ok. This included a thank you note...can't remember any company doing that in years. Thank you for your great work!

Ranger was the 7th company I contacted for an estimate. The other companies (all selected from Angies List) were quoting me ridiculous amounts of $7000-8000 for units for my small 1000 sq ft house. Even in the midst of this long, hot and dry summer, they still offered me the best price on a name brand unit (Trane). The estimator and installers were all prompt with their scheduled arrival times with courtesy calls. They were all professionally dressed and mannered and wore shoe covers so as not to track any dirt inside. They even registered my unit with the manufacturer for me.

Services were provided on time and in a professional manner. They managed to install a gas furnace, ac, and install duct work while doing minimal damage to the house. The technicians were on time, clean, and well mannered. Over all Ranger heating did exactly what I hired them to do with minimal interruption to my life, finishing the job on time, with out damage, and the house was cleaner when they left then it was when they started.

I had several companies come out to bid on this project. All were professional and courteous, however David from Ranger went the extra mile to make sure everything I "wanted" was a fit for my home's current layout and configuration. He address a major shortcoming that none of the other companies uncovered, that would have resulted in less then optimal results. Their bid was competitive and very detailed (which I appreciated). On installation day, their team showed up on time and went to work. The process involved two LONG days of installation service (new ducts running up to the attic and out to 3 rooms on my top floor, which never would cool to our liking with my old system). The team of very professional guys worked hard and never once feel out of 100% professional character. They made sure everything was done to perfection, everything was clean and I was always informed about which step they were on and what was left. When the job was finished (on time) everything worked as promised and the final bill matched the quote to the penny (even though they had some unforeseen challenges with getting the ducting through my second floor to the attic. A reflection of their 100% quote accuracy guarantee. I would highly recommend the team from Ranger for your HVAC work. I am confident that I made the right choice after interviewing 5 other local companies for the project.

Was awesome - for about the same price as buying the NEST I also got installation and Heating system tune up! They really new what they where doing!

They were very trustworthy. They didn't try to sell me anything extra and gave me good advice on maintenance for my home.

It went fine. It went really well. I needed the set up and the appointment that day when I purchased the big deal but they came out probably within a week. I paid an additional cost besides the $149 big deal just for the part. I will absolutely recommend this provider to a neighbor. The part was a solenoid, it was a big solenoid on the air conditioner and that is what made it quick. We were very appreciative that he could fix it.

Had a second heater guy come out a few days later to double check the work. I took pictures of the inside fan mechanism completely covered in dust. Disgusting. Just because there is a cover over something doesn't mean the average guy won't find out you didn't clean where most don't look

This company is awesome! I've never received such wonderful customer service. From the young lady that answered the phone, to the guy that did the estimate, to the installers of my furnace. Everyone was on time, did what they said they would do and were just super nice. Everything was superb and went really well. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Placed a call to Ranger Heating to make an appointment for load calculation. Jessie Demorow set up the schedule, she is very professional and very helpful. Sean Quy came over and did a load calculation. I am very impressed with his knowledge, polite demeanor and professionalism. He prepared a work proposal and emailed to me very quickly. I accepted the proposal and my new furnace is installed the following day. Zeek and Daniel are the two guys who installed the new furnace. They made it look so effortless to haul the old furnace, install the new one and clean up. Both of them are very professional, efficient, polite and provided excellent customer service. I contacted three HVAC outfits before Ranger and I am thankful I waited until my appointment with Sean. I already referred Ranger to my brother and friend who are looking into replacing their aging furnaces.

Very professional! Quick service. They were very flexible with our schedule. We plan to have them come back as our basement gets closer to being finished. Happy to do business with these guys.

Everything went great. Both my water heater and furnace were each about 25 years old and were in desperate need of being replaced. I went through the estimate process with Jessie and David and they clearly explained all the options and gave me a written estimate in a timely manner. The appointment was schedule and Zeek and Daniel were the two installers who came out to do the work. Both of them were extremely professional and polite. They explained everything that they were doing and let me know how things were progressing. They were able to get everything done in one day and at the end of the day they explained everything about each of the new products that I had purchased and explained both their warranty program as well as that of the manufacturer. I was very happy with the work they did as well as the manner in which it was done, I would absolutely recommend Ranger Heating to anyone in the market, especially having Zeek and Daniel do the install.

After placing my order on the 5th of November. The vendor emailed a questionnaire form to answer questions about the existing system. The answers were provided to Ranger, in addition there was a phone conversation about the scope of work to be done, but a site visit was never scheduled or conducted. This was the first alert that there could be a problem, because correspondence kept stating approximately this or that, so I check with the State of Washington LNI, which tracks contractors. The information obtained was that the business had failed back in 2006, but were now operating in another location with the old owners, but new operators. This history also indicated that the numerous violations committed by the company. All subsequent correspondence, ignored my specific request for cost break-down for the job. This info was needed to compare bids from other vendors & to negotiate the price to suite my budget. There seemed to be a lot of hidden costs on their bid sheet. So, the request in the last email asked for the total cost of the system fully installed, the final numbers were almost doubled The Big Deal advertised on Angles List. There appeared to be excessive cost added that were not justified with factual data which could only be obtained with a home inspection. Also, the week of the initial installation date on (Nov 18th), we received an email that the prime contact would be out of town, hence the second red flag.

Wonderful customer service over the phone, worked with our schedule. Very polite and efficient service and done in a timely manner.

While he was here he was courteous, helpful and very professional. Only problem is he did not get back to me with an estimate for the broken thermostat and duct work. Maybe this is because of the cold snap. I'll wait a bit and call them back myself.

While it took a couple weeks to have them come out and evaluate our situation once the process started it went very quickly. They showed up at the planned appointment time. Then they went through the sales pitch. We need to have a the new furnace installed by the end of the week as it was getting too cold in our house. They were able to install the next day in spite of having to juggle two installations on that day.

I compared a couple other similar Big Deals for new furnace installs on Angie's List, and went with Ranger for two reasons. First, the Trane brand (Consumer Reports listed Trane as the least likely to require repairs, of the top three models they reccommend) and second, the Deal included a new thermostat. David came out for the initial estimate and explained the differences in various models; originally I was inclined to upgrade to a 90% efficiency unit, but he pointed out I might get more bang for the buck if I upgraded to a 2 stage 80% unit (the Deal was based on single stage 80%). He pointed out that if we lived in a much colder climate, I might save enough in heating costs to justify the higher price tag of the 90% unit. But the less costly 2 stage unit in our milder climate might be a more cost effective upgrade because, as I understood it, the two stage feature allows the furnace to run at a lower capacity on mild days. I appreciated that straight forward insight. On the day of install, it turned out there had been a miscommunication in scheduling of the third party duct cleaning company. In less than a half hour, that had been resolved, and the duct cleaners were able to come in and complete their task after Ranger had pulled out my old furnace, as originally intended. I'm sure there was lots of scurrying going on behind the scenes, but it was virtually seamless on my end. Zeke and Daniel performed the furnace switch and were professional, very respectful of our home and kept me informed of their progress. They also added two dampers and modified a register in the master bathroom to help distribute the air better throughout the house. We're looking forward to a more comfortable and efficient house this winter!

On Friday 19 September 2014 I purchased a deal for 1799.00 for a Tran XV80 gas furnace from Ranger Heating and Cooling. I knew when I purchased the deal that I wanted to upgrade to a more energy efficient model. On Monday 22 September the Office Manager Jessie from Ranger Heating and Cooling called me to arrange an installation date for the furnace. She was very nice and explained things to me. When I told her I was thinking of upgrading she arranged for David, the comfort consultant to meet with us on Thursday the 25th. He came and looked around our home and did say the XV80 would work just fine so they did not try to talk us into the more expensive energy efficient model. He showed us other models that were more energy efficient for us because we do have a larger home that is over 2600 sf. There were a couple of things that the average person don't think about like getting a new thermostat and vent cleaning when getting a new furnace installed. Why get a new furnace and not clean the vents in your home! So there were some added expenses that we did not think about. The installers Zeek and Dan came on Friday the 26th and did a fantastic job removing the old furnace and installing the new furnace. When they were done they showed us how to use the new thermostat and showed us everything they did to install the furnace. They left the garage cleaner then when they came in! Everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I would recommend Ranger Heating and Cooling to anyone.

The service was timely and the willing to work with our semi emergency. To me the Company went above and beyond he checked other areas so this wouldn't happen again.

Purchased the offer for a 3 ton air conditioner installed and found out that it was going to be an extra $2000 in fees/labor/etc. Not happy that this wasn't stated explicitly upfront as I wouldn't have purchased at this price.

Owner David Kallander came to my home and gave me an estimate for a new gas furnace. I had previously received estimates from 3 other companies. David was professional and knowledgeable. He sells Trane equipment, which I consider one of the best. His price for the type of furnace I wanted was very competitive. He also offered a way to finance the furnace through Wells Fargo for 12 months at zero interest. No one else had done that. The company also offers a great maintenance plan. The men who installed the furnace were professional and worked quickly. All of my questions were answered. I am very happy with the furnace and the service.
