They gave me the best bid, showed up on time, performed the work and more-when they found a problem or something that needed to be fixed, they did so without hassle. I had used them before this project, but got bids from other plumbers. I also remodeled a bathroom during this project, and they returned to plumb in fixtures as soon as the tile was laid. I have found that this company, apparently family-owned and operated, has more integrity than any other contracting service I have used over the last several years.

They did a good job, and they did what we asked them to. They were fast and clean. They came out right away.

We called and scheduled an estimate. They arrive on time, did a thorough inspection and provided a quote. We told them we were waiting for 2 additional quotes and they were good with that. When we recieved the other 2 quotes, we went for J and K. We called, scheduled a day. They arrived on time, did the work to our satisfaction.

Our water heater overflowed on a Friday afternoon. I called J & K Plumbing and they were out within an hour. They replaced the relief valve and advised me to replace another part which they did not have with them. They returned the following day and replaced the second part. I also asked them to repair the toilet which they did. All work was done well and fast. Both men were knowledgeable and courteous. This is a local family owned business which I would highly recommend.

I found them on Angie's list. They did the work in one day and I was very impressed. I called and said that it was not put in exactly right and he came out and fixed it.

I initially called J&K because I thought that the T&P valve on my water heater was leaking. Jerry and Les came out that same day to take a look, and the valve did not appear to be leaking at that time. In looking at my set up and talking about it, I mentioned to them that I had been wanting to do a complete re-pipe for a long time, so they offered to work up an estimate for me. When I got their bid the next day, I was pleasantly surprised and scheduled them to do the work the following week. Jerry and Les showed up exactly when they said they would and immediately got to work. I have never seen two guys work so hard in my life! They spent a total of 11 hours at my house, much of it underneath in the crawl space which I know from experience is miserable work. They were friendly and professional every step of the job. I tried to stay out of their way so they could work, but they did allow me to work in with them briefly since I had some minor carpentry work that I wanted to do in the water heater closet while they had the heater out. The thing that amazed me the most is that after putting in about 7 hours in and under the house installing the lines, at about 3pm, they got out shovels and dug the trench to the water meter (about 30 feet) completely by hand! By about 7pm they finally got everything hooked back up, tested and working. During the course of the job, while underneath the house, they identified some faulty drain line work which explained why my drains were noisy and gurgled. (Whoever had done the plumbing on this old house years ago had definitely cut some corners.) They made note of what was deficient and came back a couple days later with a bid to correct all those additional items. I again scheduled them immediately and they came and cranked out that work in about 3 hours. Now my drains are properly vented with functioning P-traps and are nice and quiet. For any plumbing work I might have in the future, these are the first and only guys I will call. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Just realized I had started this review a long time ago and never submitted it. I want to be sure that J and K get these kudos from me, even if they are late! They were one of several companies that I had come and diagnose an issue I was having with my faucets clogging repeatedly with small bluish white chunks of debris. I got a variety of opinions on what the solution was but when J&K showed up they immediately knew what was happening. I had done some online research on the issue and was quickly convinced that they were the right company to choose. Their estimate for the work needed was very reasonable. I had priced the job at Home Depot and J&K was less. They were on time, efficient, cleaned up and I felt they went above what was required to satisfactorily complete the job. Honest and reliable!

Overall...it went super! The job was done very well...couldn't have asked for better service. Totally will use again in future.

J&K provided an estimate at the time they said they would be at my home. Scheduled the service for later in the week (my request). They arrived on time and provided quick and professional service and were in and out in about 1 hour.. Pricing was very good for the work done and I would definitely use J&K for future plumbing needs.

Remodel on bathroom came to halt when tile contractor discovered that 30 y.o. shower valve needed replacing ~ Yikes I was hosting Thanksgiving the following day. Starting searching Angie's list at 8am to find a plumber who could come that day. Spoke with Roberta from J&K who assured me someone could come between 1:30-2:30pm ~ Great! no need to make any more calls. I provided her with my tile contractor's number and left to finish T-day shopping. Tile man rescheduled his day around J&K's promised timeline, only to receive a call from Roberta that the window had been pushed to 3:30pm. But at 3:30 ~ no plumber, just another call from J&K informing us not to expect anyone before 5pm, with no estimate how late they would be. With my tile guy on the clock, I had no option but to cancel the dispatch. Had I known at 8am that they may not be able to fulfill their commitment or that my job was on a "wait list", I would of called one of the other 100 plumbers on the list ~ but at 4pm on Thanksgiving Eve., I was out of options. This company certainly doesn't make my list of things I'm "thankful for"!

The two men worked efficiently and answered all of my questions. They came up with an effective and money-saving idea about how to redesign our under counter sink and garbage disposal drain situation, which had been installed improperly during a kitchen remodel. They kept the work areas clean and worked diligently the entire time they were here (several hours).

Jerry came out the day after we called to give us an estimate on why the hot water pressure was so bad and to change out the valve on the hot water line to the washing machine. He arrived when we were told he would and we also received a courtesy call about 20 mins before his arrival. We originally needed the hot water valve to the washing machine changed out because it was leaking and had a lot of corrosion-type buildup on the outside. Jerry changed out both valves so they would be new at the same time. Jerry also looked at the hot water pressure issue and told us it was because of buildup in the lines. He cleaned out all the sink lines of buildup and now the pressure is much better. Jerry provided information on the status of our hot water tank, which is 15 years old and gave us a quote to replace the tank. He was very quick and took only a little over an hour to do all this. It was a very good experience and will definitely use him again.

Arrived on time, two people, not sure why. Helped me locate the turn off valve for water as I did not know where it was. Leaking faucet in the bathroom they were unable to locate and faucet to replace not available on the truck. There is still a leak but it was not obvious the day of the visit. Overall I liked the service. They know more about plumbing than I do so I had to trust they knew what they were doing. Leaking outside faucet fixed nicely.

On 1 Aug. 2011 I called the company and requested a plumber come and give us an estimate for a bathroom sink removal and replacement with a new sink and faucet set which we just purchased. I thought that I may do the job myself but the old sink was secured to the underside of the counter top with some metal clamps attached to the sink. I did not know how well the new sink would fit into the opening and how to secure to the counter top. The owner of the company arrived prior to 0830 the next day and gave me a firm price for the job with no service charge or trip fee. I had planned on installing the new laundry tub myself but to play it safe I requested it be done also. The owner did a great job and took care while installing the new sink not to damage any of the counter top tiles.

Jerry and Les did a great job. They were friendly, worked in a timely manner and cleaned up after everything was done. They took time to answer any questions I had. We will be using them again!

He cut an access hole in the wall behind shower, removed old shower valve and replaced with new moen valve and fixture. Put drywall back in a very neat fashion (no mess and the wall looks really good). Finished in less time than expected. Plumber was courteous, professional and on time.Estimate was right on with what others charge. Very happy with the work. 1 year warranty.

I had a leak in my outside faucet. Two other plumbers had come out over the last two years to try to fix it. I had spent $500 to get a leak fixed and it never got fixed. I did not want to call them back. Therefore, I finally went to Angie's List and found J & K Plumbing Inc. They came out. They fixed it. It did not take them long. I was very impressed. It worked great. I don't have the leak anymore. The price was comparable to what I paid before. They called me back the next day and were out within a day or two after that. They said they would have responsed if there was an emergency. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

Jerry, the plumber that came out was very friendly. It’s a family owned business. He was on time and got the work done in the time he said he was going to. There were no extra charges. He did a great job. I don’t know about their price because I don’t have anything to compare it to. He was great.

He brought a 2nd plumber even thought it was a 1man job. I had obtained all of the replacement parts. The total time switching out the valves was 2hr and 15min. He proceded to charge me the full $500 even though I asked him to decrease the free since it took a shorter time than expected. I later found out that there were 2 other plumbers who could do the same work and their charge would have been closer to $300. I believe he overcharged me because I was a woman.

We noticed water in and around our meter box Sunday night. It took the utility three days to come out, inspect, and tell us we had broken or leaking water pipes from the meter to our house, and it was our responsibility to fix. We did some research on Angie's List and chose J & K because of their exceptional ratings and being a small, locally owned, family business (even though they didn't have a Web site, which always worries me). The office person was very responsive and professional. Owner Jerry came out right away to inspect the area and give us an estimate, and he worked a miracle to get the utility lines marked immediately with no delay. Because the boring company they use had a cancellation, J & K were able to come out the next day. Plumber Les and the boring crew were punctual, friendly and professional. The water line installation was tricky because they had to work around several existing utility lines in the area. (Note: We could not use the existing pipe location because of the number of large tree roots in the way after several decades of growth. It was determined that the best course of action was to abandon the old line and reroute completely.) They took the time to confer and plan the best way to accomplish the pipe installation with minimal disruption to our yard and driveway. They cheerfully answered all our questions. At the end of a very long day, Les worked in the pouring rain to make sure the work area was totally clean and free of mud and debris.

Great- Start to finish it went fine with a great price.

They were prompt. They were fast and courteous. I don't know about the price because I don't have anything to compare it to. It was worth the money. The quality was excellent. I would use them again in the future.

Will only use J&K. Excellent service all the time.

Very well! I wasn't familiar with costs to fix the toilets so was not sure if it was too expensive. Just happy the both are working just fine.

It went great. They came on time and they did the work and we were very satisfied. We plan on calling them again for some more plumbing work that we need to have done in the future.
