Five Star Painting of Federal Way and Tacoma

The sales pitch was great but the delivery and customer service was poor.I had two service providers due to the first crew providing poor paint services. They were re-placed by a crew who did some improvements. Within two months paint is fading, chipping and paint drips towards the bottom where furniture was moved in front to hide errors. Not to mention floor damage(which was brought to attention after the first set of contractors came). Asked for compensation and in response the Head boss used demeaning words rooted in racism and essentially refusing to pay the amount needed to correct damages and errors. This was 5-star painting services @ the federal way WA location.

The job was completed as promised. The gentleman painting the house worked hard all by himself and had the majority of the job completed in one full workday. He was considerate and made sure we had access in and out of the house as needed. Just a couple of hours on the second day and the job was completed, including the minor repair at the south end of the house damaged by a woodpecker and the 30+ years of sun. The house looks so much better. I would definitely call if I needed them again.

On time, friendly, thorough. Main form of communication is via email, messages via phone take a bit to be returned. The actual work turned out great.

Extremely well. We had 4 contractors present bids. Five Star Painting had a reasonable price and the company had all the required license and insurance. There reviews were great, so we elected to go with them and am really glad we did. All the work agreed upon was done very professionally and on time. workers were very polite and courteous. there cleanup was done as they worked and the house looks great. We liked them so much that we recommended them to my 99 year old mother to paint her house.

From the estimator, office crew, pressure washer, fix-it man, project manager, site manager and painters-all were courteous, respectful and professional-a joy to do business with...and the outcome is wonderful!

Terry provided a detailed and accurate estimate. The team worked well together and cleaned up at the end of each day. I was consulted if there were questions. They will start painting the exterior next month. I would highly recommend Five Star Painting.

This is definitely a 5 Star Painter. He painted walls that needed to be done and also did the shoe moldings after a new floor was installed. He came when he said he would and the work was very good. Highly recommend 5 Start Painter

Fantastic. The thing I'm impressed the most was that the owner came every evening and looked over the work and gave them feedback. We passed their names with our neighbors in the hood.

They were very good to deal with. They were responsive. I think over all they did a pretty good job.

The work was thorough and scheduled quickly. They pressure washed and caulked prior to painting. Communication was good. I was very pleased with the results.

Painting was done very professionally. Due to very damp mornings, the painter elected to wait for the afternoon sunshine before continued work. Job well done!!

Pressure washing went fine (missed a section). Painting ok but did not prep like promised. Re-caulking was not done. Screw holes left by previous gutters etc. were not filled but just painted over. Contract said 2 coats of paint but only got one (no back roll but was not in contract). No crew but only 1 man (he was fast - painted house and trim in 2 days). House was decent but trim was a bit sloppy (not clean lines, trim paint drops on deck steps etc.). All in all, B- to B.

It went perfect! The painters were very nice, very professional, they did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them.

This is the second/third time we've used Five Star Painting (first time was when they were Protect Paining and we lived in a different home - gave them 5 stars then). Terry and crew of four, did an outstanding job on our house exterior paint job in May 2017, which included the entire exterior/trim and large deck. They showed up each day on time, cleaned up, and were very respectful. Choosing the right color and type of paint is one thing but how it is put on is another - The Five Star team did fantastic work. As most people know and require... details matter and these guys demonstrated high quality in their attention to detail. Terry stayed connected and engaged in managing the project - coming to the job everyday to check in and make any appropriate adjustments. Five Star Painting made our 8 year old house look like a brand new home!!! Not to mention it is now properly protected from the elements. They did such a great job, before they closed out the job, we got a quote for our interior, which we executed on a few months later (Nov 2017). A+ all the way around on the interior work as well. Now the inside and outside look brand new. Can't say thanks enough. We definitely chose the right company and team for the job. We trusted them with our home and they knocked it out of the park. If it is not clear, we would highly recommend Five Star Paining to friends and family (already have made 3 referrals).

Better then expected, the team was great and it got done in time. If i had a complained because a spot was not quite the way I wanted it Terry was out fixing it. I can't ask more of a company, would recommend them to anybody.

Five star painting painted my 30year old hard wood cabinets. The workers were very professional and paid attention to every detail. My cabinets look like new. If I could give an A++ rating I would do so. The price was cheaper than refacing or restraining. I could not be happier with their service And quality.

Terry came out to give us a quote. He was on time, professional and very engaging. When the painters came to do the job, they were courteous, did a great job including making crisp lines between ceiling and wall colors and cleaned up afterwards. Then Terry came out to ensure we were satisfied with the work that had been done. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

We are extremely pleased with the quality work performed by the Five Star painting crew. Albert and Rafael were professional, efficient, courteous, punctual and responsive to any questions and concerns. We only saw the project manager, Rigo, during the initial and final walk thru, but as we both work all day and had absolutely NO issues with the painting crew, we didn't need to see him everyday. There was a communication error with the estimator and the crews expectation, but Rigo cleared it up immediately and I didn't have spend my time working the issue. I would highly recommend Five Star Painting; the price was competitive and the final product exceeded my expectations.
