Matt arrived late for the appointment. He did not take notes as we walked through and discussed each job. He did not provide a written estimate at the end of the appointment. He said he would email it to me in a few days. When I asked if he had the correct contact information, he had no business forms or paperwork in his truck with which to verify the information. He assured me he would send the estimate. Never received it via email or snail mail, even after making a follow-up call. Matt was a pleasant gentleman, but he came across very unprepared and uninterested in gaining our business. He was recommended by a friend which is why I contacted him (he was not on Angie's list at the time). I do not recommend him to anyone.

I contacted Matt (the owner) on a Wednesday afternoon asking if he was interested in performing the work for me. I have used him in the past with good results. He met me within one hour at my house and gave me a written bid on the spot. He scheduled me for an afternoon 2 days later. He arrived with his crew, truck and chipper when expected. He personally ran the chain saw while his crew of three hauled off the pieces to me chipped or loaded into the truck. He also removed an apple tree that had been knocked down by the larger tree (at no additional cost since it was not visible uuder the fallen tree). The work area was clean with minimal evidence of the chain saw tree shavings. As stated, the bid for this work was $450.00. A national tree service used by my neighbor's insurance company quoted $660.00 for the same work, Matt is an extremely fair and honorable Christian small business owner that is my go to tree service company.
