Northern Asphalt LLC

I had read good reviews on Northern Asphalt and after getting several bids of which they were the lowest. The entire job of 2 drives and almost 2000 sq/ft was done in 1 day. The look was great and we were satisfied how it turned out. But things get bad quickly from here. The high power propane torch they used to seal the edges of the drive started an underground fire that smoldered for several hours and emerged in a stand of arbor vide trees between my house and my neighbors. My wife’s grandson ran into the house yelling fire. I ran out to see one of the trees was fully engulfed and 3 others were starting up. The fire department was called and fortunately my front hose was hooked up and I managed to keep the fire from getting out of hand. They agreed to replace a 25 foot length of trees. The trees were 20 ft tall mature trees that they wanted to replace them with 6 ft young trees because they couldn’t find taller trees. Calling around within 1 hour we found the 13 ft tall trees that we accept. They said because of cost they were referring the job to their insurance company gave us a phone number and we had to do all rest ourselves. That was the last they were involved with the job. We had to up front our own money $4400 to get on the tree company’s schedule. The insurance did send us a check a couple of weeks later. 2 days ago the trees were installed and look as well as can be expected when putting 13 ft trees in a 20 ft stand of trees. The work done was very good but if you end up needing any follow up work or call back work this is not the company you want to do business with.

Northern Asphalt did a great job for us. They arrived on schedule and got the whole job done in one day. This included expanding and leveling the driveway entrance and improving the drainage there. We were very impressed with the way they sloped the surface to ensure proper water runoff. Altogether we were very pleased with the work. Their project manager, Paul, was a true professional. The pricing was reasonable for the scope of the work

Mike Meeker was very professional and conscientious. I felt that he went above and beyond what I expected. I was very happy with the result and it was a pleasure to work with them.

Northern Asphault was fabulous. They called the day before the scheduled work to ask if they could come over and start doing the cut outs that were agreed upon and other prep work. They showed up as promised, did the prep work and cut outs very quickly and had a very professional work ethic. The next day they showed up promptly at 7:30 am and went straight to work. Using a crew of 6 workers, they were constantly working, with a minimum of 3 people working at all times. They were very courteous and professional in their work and completed the repair and overlay and cleanup by 11.30 am. We were concerned about the water drainage as our driveway goes down from the street and flows off to the side of our house. Tim and his crew made sure the slope was maintained, and one reason I've waited to write a review was to wait and see if the water would drain as before. Now after a series of heavy rainfall, I am super pleased with everything done.I would definately refer Northern Asphalt to anyone.

I had an estimate done on 7/22 and they had a cancellation in their schedule and were able to perform the work on 7/23. I didn't compare companies so I can't rate their pricing. They did all the work promised and even leveled some dirt piles that weren't in the proposal. Their prime focuses were performing quality work and making the customer happy.
