I did not know Mark Schlipf or L-7 Builders before Terrapin Architects recommended him, but I’m very glad they did. As a baby-boomer, I’ve built several custom homes over the years and can now say all my other builders get a C minus (or lower) grade. L-7 Builders gets an A plus. I would not use any other builder and it’s very worthwhile to talk to him just to see how well a builder can operate. He only uses first rate people, does cost-benefit-schedule analysis at every step. He creates a Gantt chart and applies critical-path thinking, and is an excellent carpenter. We have worked with him over 6 months and have weekly meetings to go over any details and progress. Our project is nearing completion and is finishing within the one month variance of his original schedule, and on budget. He’s easy to work with, communicates well, and is very considerate to the neighbors when it comes to noise abatement. I cannot recommend Mark or L-7 highly enough. Henry (Hank) Fly
