This was through the RePower Kitsap County program. Troy came out to do a bid on the project. He was friendly. The problem is that he was unable to provide a professional quote. The first one was a non-detailed, lump sum quote that left our loan officer scratching her head. We told him that we needed a full quote. Half the time he ignored our calls/texts/email. We would contact him and he would tell us that he would get back to us in a few days. Then he would say a week. Still nothing. Then after a month we finally gave up and told him that we were moving on. He finally responded and said that "he was very busy and doesn't make any money writing up quotes". No kidding...he actually said that. Uhhhhh...don't you actually need a quote to make money? Bizarre. The fact that he couldn't provide a simple, professional quote in a timely manner made us question how he would handle the entire project. We are relieved that we discovered how he operates now rather than in the middle of a project. We have everything documented in writing.
Description of Work: Was supposed to complete weatherization/insulation, install a heat pump and do a renovation project.

I'm only here because someone that hired us to build a custom home informed me of this negative review and was quite surprised it was even here considering our outstanding work and track record. [Removed Member Name]engaged our team to perform some work on her house. She wanted work to be done that would require a permit, engineering and a plan. She did not want to engage in any of the regulatory requirements that we felt were necessary to proceed with the work. It was also impossible to properly bid the project without a proper outline provided by them as the customers. Imagine bidding a job drawn on a napkin. It wasn't even that good. In addition there were structural issues I identified during the review that would complicate the job which they did not want to address with proper plans and a permit. Oddly this was a referral from another contractor that appears did not want to do the job either. Now I realize why. It's almost funny that someone would go out of their way to disparage a business that did not even work for them. Albeit the 'F' seems quite ridiculous when work was not even performed for these people. I am strictly by referral only and do not ever receive leads or referrals from these on-line promoters like Angie's list. But it seemed appropriate to at least set the record straight from such a bitter person with issues.
