NORTHWEST DECKS

Doug came to our house and got all the information he needed for the bids and said it would take about a week to get those back to us. After three weeks of no communication I called the company twice and left messages and then sent one email, all of which were not responded to. After another week I finally was able to talk to a receptionist who passed along my information to Doug. He then emailed me and said he had sent out a mass email to all prospective customers about their bids and I must not have gotten it. If I still wanted the bids I needed to say so. I told him how frustrated I was with his company but that I still wanted the bids. After another week I still had not received the bids so I sent another email. Sherri responded saying how the company was negligent and there was lack of communication on there end so therefore they would not be able to give me my bids. I have never encountered a company who so poorly treated a customer and instead of trying to remedy the situation, turned them away. I would never recommend this company.

Tom was quite impressive. He called right back, stayed in touch, answered all emails ( usually within a couple hours), he was quite patient as this deck was being built for my elderly mother. He managed to get her project done about 3 weeks earlier than expected. He kept us informed and everything happened just as he said it would. His company is a dream to work with and deserves your business. I highly recommend him and would use him again.

Their ability to hold to a completion date is lousy to be honest. This week the porch got repaired and the lights are all working.

The phone request for a bid was professional and courteous. But $22,000 for an outdoor deck, that was almost half what I was looking for and twice what anyone else had bid was pretty expensive.

She was very conscientious and was willing to give me a bid, which was appreciated. The other companies I reached out to would only give me an hourly rate and not a final cost. She was enthusiastic and very helpful.

The overall job went very well. Doug Meek the owner is a hands on contractor. He is either doing work or supervising the crew working for him. What really worked good for me was Northwest Decks is a contractor who only deals with decks and anything associated with decks. The estimate was very resonable and Doug goes over the contract with you so you now upfront who is responsible for what. His contracts includes any sub contractors that might be used so you know who is working on your project. The job was finished on time and within the estimated cost. I would recommend Doug and Northwest Decks to everyone.

They did a great job. We were happy with the experience.

Poor quality wood and lack of maintanence over many years, required the deck flooring to be replaced with cedar. In addition a tile landing at he stair base need to be constructed, along with stablizing a lengthy raise. Railing caps were relaced also. A large tile patio had been neglected over the same period of time. The process included cleaning, sand locking, and sealing the surface. All work was done in a timely, professional manner. I have no reservation referring NW Decks to any prospective customer.

Called the firm after sending a sketch of what we wanted. NW decks was available for the job, and their general estimate was fine. Met with them at the location (our cabin). They sent a drawing of their proposal. I changed a few minor things and sent e-mail on changes. We agreed on the work and they set a date. They came and did the work on the exact day they had proposed, and finished the work in the 1-2 days they had estimated. They made a couple minor changes when doing the work to tie it into the older deck in an improved way./ They gave advice on staining it and the existing large deck so that it provided an integrated look. Nice work.

He is very professional and I would have used him except that my husband is adamant that he does everything better. He knew what he was talking about and he gave suggestions about the type of material to use. He was very responsive, the quote was detailed, and he got me the quote quickly. He provided options on the quote for different materials and styles. He is really on top of things and I know because my husband is in the industry.

Their service was great. When I gave the job, they messaged in, then came out and did the job. They dealt with a couple of minor changes we made. There was a problem with the work done by someone else. They took it upon themselves and worked backwards to get everything approved before the final inspection. They went the extra mile to make sure that we got what we wanted done.
