Excellent; quick response from company; tech did temporary repairs to keep water from coming in through hole in roof; went into the attic to check roof trusses and explained repairs. (We had a tree fall on our roof and one of the branches put a 2” hole through the shingles and plywood)

Hanley has roofed 3 buildings for us in the last few years-- 1 metal & 2 shingled. Just completed our latest --a pergola with metal roof to match the garage. The crew was very capable, courteous, and highly skilled in aspect of the job. From the initial contact with an estimator, monthly email uodates, to a final visit by the owner, we could not be happier. Nice to find people who do what they say and Hanley did it in spades.

Hanley is a first class operation. I used them because of recommendations from others who have used them. I was impressed with the entire process from the estimating, to the scheduling (I received regular updates on where I stood in the queue) and to the work performed by the workers. The job was a big one-10 days total. Each day they cleaned up the work area before leaving. I was also impressed that the owner came by after the job was completed to make sure he had a happy customer. We certainly were.

Excellent results! Very pleased with the entire experience. The OSB was replaced with CDX plywood, felt paper was replaced with ice and rain underlayment (because the repair area was beneath an eave gutter), and the new shingles match the old both in color and style. Tim showed up on time, with all the necessary materials and got to work. Early on he determined an adjacent area of OSB would need to be replaced. But he had planned for more materials just in case so this wasn't a problem. He exercised good safety practices which I appreciated given how steep the roof is. He was always polite, respectful of my property, and attentive to my questions. The work was completed in the timeframe quoted. He picked up and cleaned such that you wouldn't have known anything had happened in the area much less a roof repair. It's been a week and lots of rain and no leaks. A+ work!

Excellent. See pictures comparing the company I first hired vs Hanley. The first company actually thought (and argued non-stop) that they had done a good job. You can see that Hanley replaced the old rotting wood and where nails might be seen, they hammered in (by hand) shorter nails so that your home looks like you want. The first company was in such a rush they never looked to see what their work would look like. They just cruised along with their powered nail-guns and rushed to finish the job. Four images are attached. Two showing company one's lousy work. Two showing the same area after Hanley did it right. And there are many other examples I could have shown. The difference is one company focused was on finishing and going home. Hanley was there to do a professional job.

Only negative was the long waiting time, a year. But it was worth it. They are very professional, quick to respond to my questions and a change order, and have a great crew. I highly recommend them!

Employees were responsive to my initial phone calls. Once I signed agreement and provided downpayment my project was scheduled and completed in reasonable timeframe. Owner met us at site to review work and provide warranty info.

No answer, no acknowledgement to either emails. i understand business may be booming and that's a good thing for our local economy but this company's customer service is poor and non responsive. A professional response indicating the reason why they can't service my request and promising to get to me as soon as possible would have been appreciated.

High quality and no hassles. Absolutely professional. Hanley replaced our cedar shake roof 6 years ago. The home is a 2-story A-frame. It was originally constructed in 1977 by a perfectionist older gentleman who still lives in the neighborhood and views the home as one of his babies. When he saw the reroofing, he began nosing around and admitted afterward "they did nice work". 6 years later, a tree toppled in a windstorm and knocked a couple holes in the roof. I called Hanley on Thursday, had an appointment on Friday, and repaired by next Tuesday. Same high quality work. Their prices might be a little higher, but I personally wouldn't call anyone else. They are worth it.

This is an a rewrite of a previous review. Hanley Construction provided a trouble shooting call, and charged approx $.300.00 due to a misunderstanding that services were provided. In fact they did cover the Skylight however it has not yet been determined if the leak is in this location due to lack of driving rain since November-December when the initial call was made. I paid the $300.00 and wrote a review that was not favorable, since I was then under the impression that there would be no charge for troubleshooting. I have talked with the company and we have agreed that when the point of the leak is finally determined, the 300.00 will go toward the repair of the leak. In essence I have paid the initial call out fee in advance. I am happy with the resolution and will use Hanely Contruction in the future.

This is a reputable company that does superior work. I requested that my general contractor hire Hanley and not his own roofing contractor after receiving three bids. Each shingle was hand-nailed at no additional cost and not one shingle nail has popped out after 3 1/2 years. Everyone who sees our roof is amazed at the quality. I later hired them directly to repair the roof on our lake house.

When buying our house - we knew that the house needed it's roof replaced. Everyone recommended using Hanley for their quality and professionalism. We contacted Hanley in February of 2015 - and got on their scheduled for the work to be done around late May (they were already very booked). Unfortunately the work didn't start when expected because of some scheduling issues they had. I understand that this is normal when working with contractors, but the delay extended for longer than we would have liked. Hanley was nice enough to give a small credit to make up for this. For the actual roof replacement, ALL of the work was done in about 5 days (really fast for the amount of roof we have!). The team that did the work was extremely professional and courteous. I work from home - and felt no distraction from them. As with all jobs of this size - there were a few hiccups along the way. The main one being an issue with the color of the metal runners used for the channels (we had a silver shingle - and these were black). we were very unhappy at how this looked (specifically for two of the channels). After a few discussions with the owner, they offered to replace these with white channels, at no cost (material and labor). We now have a BEAUTIFUL new roof that was definitely installed properly and quickly. Our roof is well ventilated which helped cool down the house in the summer. They were a little pricier than the competition - however with something as important as the roof of our house - we were willing to pay. I would highly recommend Hanley, and will use them again if needed. Thanks Hanley!

I submitted a request for an estimate and received a return call 30 min later. Jeremy then called and said he could be at our house within the hour. He found that the roof vent had just slid down, so he screwed it back into place at no charge. He also caulked a hole around the safety harness latch at no charge. Great, professional service. Would definitely use them again.

In August 2014 during some very hot weather, we had an approximate 5' x 8' section of our existing 12 year old roof literally slide down the plywood. My husband went up onto the roof to investigate to see what was going on and make repairs. He discovered that the existing shingles did not have the proper amount of nails needed (4-6) per shingle to hold them into place and what few nails (1-3) there were were placed outside of the manufacturer's specifications. It was clear to us that the workmanship of the original installation was sub-par and we would need a roofing company to come out and give us their professional opinion as to what to do. Our neighbor happens to work for Hanley Construction as a roofing estimator. Since we knew this we called him to come over and give us his professional opinion as to repairing the existing roof or replacing it with new material. He was honest with us and told us we could elect to repair the roof as needed, not knowing exactly how many times that might be, or in the long run save money by redoing the entire roof with a new product installed properly. After he walked the entire roof and inspected it he told us he could see another large section beginning to show signs of slippage, we also could see this once he pointed it out to us. After conferring with another company for a second opinion, we agreed to have Hanley Construction do the work. We signed a contract and paid a down payment on August 12, 2014. We were told that the company was booked with work and it would possibly take from 2-3 months before they could get to us, although as a neighbor he would see what he could do to facilitate a speedier time schedule. We expressed our concern of additional shingles sliding down, having leakage, etc. with the upcoming weather we usually have commencing in October and throughout the winter. We were assured that as part of their service, once they receive a down payment under contract, they will come out to tarp the roof if needed until they can get to the job. Personally, I wasn't excited about the prospects of having to have leakage first then tarping the roof and waiting until they could get to our job. It made little sense to me to possibly add additional work as in repairing leakage to sheet-rock, painting, etc. Therefore, when we had a heavy rain and wind event in early October 2014 my husband elected to go up and re-nail the shingles to temporarily fix the large section that started to slip. It was on a Sunday and he decided to take care of it. Luckily, this winter we have had a drier one than normal and nature gave us a break. Due to the company's work load, the Holidays, and unforeseen events, it was January 2015 when our job could be addressed. Once Hanley Construction could get to our job, they showed up early and in full force wasting no time in getting to the job at hand. They started on Friday, Jan. 9, and completed the job the following Tuesday, Jan. 13. Since they do not work over the weekend, they covered the unfinished roof with tarps to protect it against any possible rain. Each day they cleaned up and scanned for nails. It was made clear who I was to interface with as the project foreman, who would do the final site inspection, and exactly what to expect in terms of communication and collection of final payment. Overall, Hanley Construction conducted themselves in a very professional manner, their workers are self-motivated, conscientious, and self-disciplined. Any concern or discrepancy I pointed out was addressed and taken care of. For instance, the truck that delivered the shingles left some hydraulic fluid on our drive-way, the Hanley crew cleaned it up. Two hardiplank sections had small corners broken while working to get the new flashing up under these pieces. A repair team came out on Thurs., Jan. 15, to complete repairs and they did so beautifully. On Jan. 14, the final inspection took place in the morning, the County inspector came the following day after the repair crew completed their work, and we received our final billing on Sat., Jan. 17. Mr. Oliver Hanley, the owner, and I met on Jan. 26 to go over the entire job, make sure we were satisfied, give us warranty certificates, and collect the final payment. Our experience working with this company was positive. Although it took longer to start the job than I could have imagined, it worked out just fine. We are pleased with the end results and feel confident and assured to know we have a excellent product on the roof and the workmanship was completed correctly, accurate, and will last for years to come. That's exactly what should have happened in the first place. Now it has and we couldn't be happier.

I could not be happier! Hanley Roofing has a fantastic reputation and they did nothing to reduce that for sure. They gave me an estimate that is above other roofers in price, but you get really high quality workmanship for sure. Jeez they actually still hand-nail the shingles into place - NOBODY does that anymore...NOBODY! I got a 20-year workmanship guarantee and shingle that should last the rest of my days on this house. They damaged one of my main gutter runs and had to replace it - that was also very well done indeed. They replace a few plywood panels that were beginning to rot, and they did an excellent job of clean-up. No debris left over anywhere. Thumbs up from the judges for sure.

Very smoothly. They were early, stripped off the old shingles and made sure the plywood beneath was sound. Brought along their own portapotty so they didn't need to use our bathroom and cleaned up all the old shingles and debris and took it away. They also notified us and our rentee of everything they were going to be doing before they started doing it.
