I would like to add, we've now been stuck with Solgen for almost 2 years and it's been nothing but surprises along the way. First 2 of our panels were broken and they never called to let us know. So we went 3 months with RIDICULOUSLY high utilities until we finally called. They argued with us for over a month over the issue until they finally sent someone to inspect and low behold we had a few broken panels. NOW we are paying DOUBLE our payment amount because NO ONE told us that our payments through Verity were "18 months interest free"... We have looked through all our contracts AND NOTHING talks about 18 months interest free payments. My fiance and I are currently looking for another loan company to take over the solar panels because we were ultimately screwed over by Solgen and Verity. Instead of paying roughly $300 in total for all utilities, we are now paying $600+! Don't get me started in their customer service department.... Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone..... We are 5 months in, it's still not up and running... Our 6 months free is gone, so now we're paying for something that isn't working. The lady my fiance talked to yesterday told him the panels they need to upgrade should take 2 hours to do.. The electrician showed up this morning, to my surprise it's going to take well over 6+hours, with the power shut off. The icing on the cake was when he explained they have to come back another time, turn off the power and do some more upgrades.. NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS FROM THE BEGINNING! Not to mention, we were told ONE electrician would be doing the job and I had 3 guys at my door. With how society is right now, having 3 males in my home while my fiance is gone is not okay.

This project has been riddled with problems from the beginning. First, communication is minimal. When I say minimal, it is non existent unless you reach out and try to pry information from someone as to when things are going to happen. We were told that Solgen would be installing our roof. This was not the case, we had a contractor reach out to us on a Friday saying they'd be here maybe the next Monday. I had to reach out to the contractor Monday to see if they were showing up. Once they got here, they said it would be a 2-4 day job. It ended up taking 2 full weeks. The roofers didn't clean up each day, so we had debris everywhere and I finally started cleaning up in the evenings because asphalt was getting into the house. During the install of the roof someone from Solgen reached out and said, "We have that you are getting a roof installed before your panels. Have you got that started yet or need recommendations on a contractor?" This was a HUGE red flag. Again, I thought Solgen was doing the roof, and now they don't even know that they hired this company that is currently at my house? After two extremely long weeks, the roofers finished. However, there was significant damage to my house. We had tar, scratches, and nails everywhere. We also have damage to our rain gutters. I reached out to the roofers and solgen. I didn't hear much about it, again - communication is definitely not a priority. It has been almost 2 months since the roof was completed and I still have the damage listed above. Yesterday, I had the panels completed. I could hear things falling off of the house and was praying it didn't do any damage. I guess it is the PTSD from the damage from the roofing company. When I walked around this morning I noticed that I had damage and paint on my camping trailer and one of their brackets under the camper. There are other companies that won't treat you like this and leave you with tons of damage to your home and property. Use them!! For now, I am waiting on more communication from anyone at Solgen for next steps to get my house, and now trailer, as it was before they came into my life.
