Our house was built by hayden homes. It was obvious after we moved in and had up close look at everything why the cost was lower. You get what you pay for. We had constant problems with the house. Several things were immediately needing repair that should have been caught on a final sweep of the house before they said we could move in ( lazy Susan cupboard broken, broken sheetrock in the garage, holes under the stairs, and a complete mess under the kitchen sink) I counted over 20 visits to call to fix the things that were having problems because of how cheap they were. Especially when it came to water. The bathroom sink leaked, the shower squeaked (12ish visits to fix, which took up total 10 hours of my time, a patched tub, and a patched wall), and the faucet kept coming loose. My husband worked at a plumbing company and recognized the pipes and toilet as the cheapest Chinese import they sold. Others were the garage door track coming loose at the wall, doors coming loose at the hinges (I was told that was because they use screws that were too short to support the weight of the door and if it happened again to put in a longer screw), and basil heads coming up under the carpet (which they cannot fix without cutting up the carpet). We were told on the last time we called for a fix that they would be taken care of at our final walk through. We waited a few weeks and called when we didn't hear back. We were then told that since we did not schedule a walk through and our year was over and they were no longer responsible for any problems with the house. Don't use this company. They do not use any quality materials (sideboards, doors, paint, toilet, and the tile in the kitchen does not go all the way back to the wall under the cabinets to save money, which is likely why they say they are not responsible to recaulk along the counters as it settles) their warrenty policy is mediocre at best, especially when they put off a few repairs and then loopholed their way out of them. Spend a little more and get a better quality home. You will be happier in the long run.
