The owner gave me a verbal bid for a specified amount of work to be done. When the work started, work that was specified was not being done as promised. When I asked about work promised, the owner claimed that he did not remember. He did less than half the work, but wanted the full price of the bid. I had to contract with other contractors and deducted the cost from the bid price from Absolute Power. The owner retained an attorney. No I did not pay Absolute Power the full amount. If a person should contract with Absolute Power, get a very detailed bid in writing and then inspect the work to insure that the quoted bid is done properly and that the material quoted is used in the job. Just be very careful and do not trust this outfit.

This was a subcontractor to a GC that did a remodel on my home. The man that performed the services was young and arrogant. We did not find out until November that the work he did was faulty. The GC made us call Absoulte who referred me to the man that performed the work (his employee). They installed a cadet heater in our bathroom (replaced a baseboard), installed lights, and were supposed to reconnect the existing heat in the other areas. This work was done to accommodate my 90-year-old dad who had moved in with us. When it began to get cold, I noticed the cadet heater would only work intermittently. I called Absolute and they had Jeff return my call. I told him the heater would not work but intermittently and he said that was not possible, it must be something one of the other contractors did. ?He would get back to me in a couple of days.? He never did. In the meantime I had another electrician (the one who had removed some baseboard heaters in preparation for the remodel) look at this and he told me that Absolute took the wire that was looped from one room to our bedroom, instead of using the original wiring for the heater that was in the bathroom. He would have to charge me for it or I could call Absolute and have them make it right. After buying several heaters for around the house I got tired and called the GC who told me I had to call Absolute. Absolute told me that because the GC never paid him he could not come out. I called the GC back who told me he had paid. I called Absolute back and told them the GC was calling him a liar. He sent Jeff out the next day. Jeff found (as witnessed by my husband) a loose connection when he took the heater out of the wall. It was not installed properly. He told my husband there must have been a short in the unit. Ha, ha, ha. Regarding the missing heat in the back of the house, he told my husband he would have to trace the wires that to find what should be servicing the heater in our bedroom. That was the first week of December. It is Christmas Eve and we still have not heard from him. It has been below zero here this year. I am so sick of their incompetency and unwillingness to properly complete this job I am going to sweat it out with little heaters until I can afford another electrician. BTW ? no one ever pulled a permit?. AND Every switch plate the installed was different.
